1st place
Always Lenticular by Flmngseabass

Nikoneer: The three layers we see here make this the shelf variation of a lenticular, and an obvious choice for the contest. You are sure to place well, Bruce. Good luck.

Vickid: This is quite unique, and your capture is perfect, bravo.

2nd place
MILOS ... by Vickid

bfrank: Beautifully done, Vicki! I agree with the others about the contest entry.

Salishutter: I thought it was an iceberg too. What an amazing sight, and great photo.

Flmngseabass: Superb image Vicki!! That water is amazing and the cliffs are beautiful:) Tell me Vicki, is the lower portion of the cliffs been artificially coated to prevent collapsing or are my eyes gone wacky:)??

3rd place
The Path by biffobear

trixxie17: I would always choose the path - I also thought of the Robert Frost poem when I saw this.

bfrank: Congrats on the third place, Richie!

Pjsee16: Very warm and generous path...

Nikoneer: The warm and slight softened nature of these photos, Richie, are very reminiscent of the classic renaissance painters I had to study in college, chasing a degree in fine art. As for the image, It is the classic ^Two Roads^ of Robert Frost. Through the gate is a bucolic pasture with known denizens like cows, sheep, border collies, and the like, in bright sunshine or soaking rain, and down the path is cool quiet, wildlife, small rustlings in dark places, and exploration. It all depends on what the individual visitor to your photo finds comfortable or enticing. Personally, Richie, I choose the path. So does my wife.

4th place
Cathedral Spires Hike 10--Farewell to the Day by Nikoneer

Pistos: I like the lighting in this one.

corngrowth: ---I am glad I could share it with you---

'Nik', many thanks for sharing with us this magnificent series.
The photographs are wonderful, but photographs only can't make it to a great series. The well documented narratives are an integral part of it. In that matter, you've spoiled us.
Thanks again. Very well done, 👍 !

5th place
Hands on the Wheel of the Turning World by Pjsee16

bfrank: Congrats on 5th place, Paul!

jerseygurl: Congrats Paul on taking 5th place in the contest!!!!!!!!

trixxie17: What a glorious shot - I love that time of day for photography!

corngrowth: Paul, was this very fine sunrise image taken at or near the Cabot Trail, almost on the most northern part of Cape Breton Island looking over the Cabot Street (the street between the St. Lawrence Bay and the Atlantic Ocean)?
A very scenic sight. By checking-out this link the water comes into my mouth, 😁 !
