Thanks for the welcome +ppigeon. I have just got a digital camera - a Minolta A1 - and have been experimenting with it. I'm uploading the pics now, just remember - these are taken just after bying the camera, so im still getting the feel of it.
I'd just like to say, tha if anyone is wondering, i havent added any pics recently. This is because my comp is in for sevicing (hehe), so im having to use the secondary one, which has no room on its hard drive for a pic, can you belive it !! Anyway, this is really rather anoying, and cant weight to start uploading again in a weeks time. :D
Thanks Will for the comment on "White on Yellow". I appreciate the effort it takes to wade through so many fine images. I feel privileged that you chose mine to vote a 10/10. andrew

Hi Will, and thank you for your kind comment on "Seat with a view". When the weather gets warmer I might stop and sit there a while, but that day I had to keep walking.... :-)
Hi There! Thank-you for your support on my image 'A Path Less Travelled, I appreciate all the feedback and it encourages me to create more! (A good thing...;-) Take care and a Happy New Year!!

Ephesians 2: 8 & 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Why did Jesus have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? And if you had to earn salvation it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a wage. And if you had to be good enough to get saved then how do you know when your there? Questions about Jesus? Send me a personal message.
Kia Ora Will, many thanks for your nice words on Gathering Storm. The seagulls did look cold - they flew away seconds later.
Your gallery is great and so is your website. Well done.
thank you for leaving a comment on spot light, nice you like it. this was from my first shooting with people, it's not what i like most but i like to manipulate them :D
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

"...and when each day is the same as the next, it's because people fail to recognize the good things that happen in their lives every day that the sun rises"
"For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then were all dead: and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again." II Corinthians 5:14-15, KJB
Hi Will, thanks for taking the time to comment on Above San Gimignano. It sounds like you just did the same vacation I did last month! I can't say I loved being on top of the tower because of my fear of heights, but I am glad I got a few good pics out of it. I loved everything about Tuscany. I loved seeing Venice, but I prefer the countryside.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/

Hello, thanks very much for the nice comment on Viral Patch! I would have responded before now but have been down with the flu (real flu, not a cold). Seems a bit ironic when I think about it...
