hi aurora , thanks for you comment on my « a smile » image , i am glad you liked so much , thanks , i thought that it might be to weird as a desktop, but in a way maybe the colours helps. hope to hear from you again.:-)
Hi Aurora! I see that you're new here since I've been out of town, but I wanted to thank you for the kind comment on "Mother & Child Reunion". I was indeed very fortunate to be able to get that shot. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, and welcome to Caedes.net! :-)
What you said regarding "Manresa" made me look at the photo again. Sadly I can't claim to be more than an amateur photographer, and when I acheive excellence it's only because I shoot so many photos that some *have* to look good. Your compliment makes me feel like an artiste. - Thanks
Thanks for taking a wander and looking/commenting on ectoplasm and Rainbow fish - Regarding the latter, in the tutorial gallery there is one by caedes on "contours" - worth a look . Everyone who does these comes up with different results. (ie -speedy_10, grimbug, mckinleysh, mythica, me.)
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more
--Lord Byron
Hello, Aurora. I was quite suprised by the comments you left on Heart of Green, Moment of Clarity, Fare Thee Well, and Strike Two. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave input on these. I really appreciate you looking through some of my work, and I am glad you enjoyed them. :-)
hi aurora , thanks for kind words on my « rainbow tunnel » iamge , i am glad you enjoyed it. thanks for taking the time to appreciate my work. hope to hear from you again. :-)
Hi Aurora, thanks for your comment on "Sweet Dreams" It was originally a photo of a Jade plant flower. I used a kaleidoscope effect on it with a dash of colour (blue and purple) then added some star effects with Photo Impact (cheaper version of photoshop). Glad you liked it. Cheers Al.
Thank you Aurora, for your nice remark on "Pink Surfinia"! You are right, the flower was just opening, although it was in the evening when I took the picture. Thanks for commenting.
Mia :-)
Thanks Aurora for your enjoyable comments on "On A Clear Day". I really am glad you liked it. That is one of the unfortunate things about 35mm. After you blow it up beyond a certain point the grain starts to show. Sometimes it can help the image and at other times it can be really distracting.
Thanks for your comments on my sig. Bertrand Russell was an English philosopher. I found the sig on a quotations website, whilst looking for another quote of his I had heard. It fitted in very much with my way of thinking, so I appropriated it.
"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell
Hi Aurora..thanks so much for stopping by & leaving such warm words on ~beautiful butterfly~. I am so blessed to have such great firends here at caedes.net . This series has been a lot of fun! :)
Wow you were fast on 'hypnotic orange' I didn't even know it was up yet. Glad you like it I'm always nervous when I play with an image, I don't do it enough to be any good at it. Hope things are going well for you.
Hey there Aurora, lol. You are too cute. I sure hope your husband's friend brought you those cookies. Or your screen is in for a real awakening, hehe.

It was sitting there for ages so I tryed my luck and took my camera. It was at night so I had to flash. Not easy trying to shoot a macro on a white wall using the flash. I'm afraid of spiders, but my will to make a nice picture was stronger. Every time it moved a few inches I died. Maybe its theraphatic, making photo's of something your afraid of.
Its not that big, only 2 inches (5 cm) all together.
I like constructive criticism. So dont be offended by me... I mostly I am honest so that you are honest with me as well. I want to know how I can improve.
Thank you for your comments on “Just Visiting”. I love soft focus; it gives the image a very dreamy look. Some images work well that way others it ruins.
Hi Aurora. I saw your comment about My Way. The bird was pretty arrogant, not caring much whether we were near her or far from her, and she didn't seem to be too concerned about the weather either. She was drop-dead good-looking, though :-)
Tks so much Aurora for commenting on Morning Glory! I am glad you liked it. Did you know that this is a Scarlet O'hara?
I just learned it myself, hehe.

Thanks Aurora. And the belt buckle. :) I looked to see where he is from. His name is Jeret Peterson from the USA. No Irish there, so it must be about good luck. Something that might come in handy when you thow yourself off a mountain.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.

But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
