Heya Matthew, thanks for liking *T.O.X.I.C*...I appreciate the feedback ^_^ also thanks for the comment on *Industrial Explosion*...yes, it's quite different from my usual style, but I like to try out new things :D
Best wishes
hey Matthew.. ty for commenting on Stealing The Sunlight.. i must admit, your Green Intersection did inspire this image a little bit.. im glad you liked the outcome on it..
Hi Matthew ! Thanks a lot for your wonderful comment on "Glass Art 1" , the coloured mouth-blown glasses. It means a lot to see you appreciated it so much and for once I´m also pleased with the result ! -- Arne --
Heya Matthew :D
Thanks for commenting on *Hellish*...yeah I know the butterfly wings are a bit dodgy...I really should have found some that better suited the theme, but still...can't change it now :P
But the image didn't look right without them, so you know...
And thanks also for liking the darkness in *Gothic Rose*...much appreciated...
Anyways...thanks again,
Have a lovely day :)
Hi Matthew, hope you will forgive me, but this message will be pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my images "At The Giants Feet" and “Anyone Have a Towel". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
hey Matthew.. everyone seems to be hammering me on the white in Turning Away.. i may try a rerender soon with another attempt to make it less hurtful on the eyes.. the little i did before seemed to take away from the focal points in the image.. and rendering at 4000 x 3000 makes it a bit more tedious than before hehe.. anywho, ty as always for the comment
hey Matthew.. i actually would have to agree with you.. i like Turning Away.. a bit more myself.. seems a bit more "clean" i guess.. as always, i appreciate the critique and support..
Hi there Matthew...thank you for stopping to leave a nice comment on Lighthouse #2 Rework...very glad you find it to your liking and appreciate your time in saying so...I must admit, I kinda' like it myself, lol...tks again Captain.:Pat.
hey Matthew.. ty for the generous comment on Helix.. ive really liked this piece for a while.. when i posted Essence Of Humanity a while back, it just seemed too busy for my taste.. kinda why i wanted to post just the base image.. and as for yours, would like to see your version.. thanks again
Thank you for commenting on my illustrations. I have left them for several months, to come back and find that they have been well received! I appreciate the positive comments, and I'm glad you like my style. It was really my husband's idea to post these in the first place.
Matthew, thank you for your reply to my problem about focus. Webshots isn't letting me upload anything right now. Would it be ok if I emailed it to you? The size of the photo was 1280 by 900.
I appreciate the kind words about "Ethereal...". I have it on my desktop as does another developer in my office...flattering (if not weird) to say the least.
I'm going to try something a bit more difficult over the weekend (as per your recommendation), but I wanted to say thanks for the kind words, advice, and encouragement.
hey Matthew.. sorry for the delay on replying.. ty for the comment on Amalgamate.. i couldnt figure out what else to put myself.. the clouds seemed to work good i think.. they gave a nice color contrast.. ty for the feedback and support..
hello again.. ty for the comment on Under The Surface.. this image was more a test of something that only one person seemed to catch.. its damn near impossible to make a metaball invisible lol.. glad you liked it..
When I first saw this patch of thistles, it had about 5 Butterflies on it. Soon all but one was gone. I took dozens of photos of this little guy to get my Butterfly Kisses image. They are always moving and it's hard to get a good capture. Thanks Matthew for viewing and posting a comment.

Thank you Matthew for the kind comments on "Elephants Ear". Glad you liked it. No manipulation here except by Mother Nature herself. I like the effect of having painterly qualities. Last year I was in a Juried Show in Ellensburg Washington and Art Wolfe (he was one of the Jurists) made the same comment on one of my images. It also won Best of Show.............. Brag, brag, HaHa

Thanks Matthew for the great input on my image Go Back To The Rebuplic. It was a rather simple one th do I think the best effect was over lapping the two sets of eyes.
Hi Matthew...thanks for your thoughtful observations on Bridge Over Colored Waters...glad to know you liked it and I appreciate you stopping by to say so.:Pat.
Hey Matthew :D
Thanks for stopping by my *Self Portrait*...your input was much appreciated and I'll make sure I refer back to all those comments when doing my next ^_^
Best wishes
Hi Matthew, glad you noticed.Had a little trouble getting the proper size.Your info was most helpful. Will eventually get another. My wife liked this one,as it was of a little cherub that she had placed in our garden.Once again I appreciated all your input.Belonging to our Caedes has been most enjoyable to us both.My next project will be the ultimate..posting on Caedes... Thanx loads Jim
Hey Matthew, thanks for the comment on (Manhattan). We had just come from the Statue of Liberty when I took this (on our boat tour). I think this was the last shot in which the statue could still be seen. I'm glad you liked it~
Thankyou kindly for your visit to "the ties that bind..." - I was determined to upload something during our school holidays - and this was the result! I appreciate your comment.
Never give up. Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it. ~~ Michael Jordan
Thanks Matthew for the comments on my Crawfordville Predator image. My Sister lives in a forest area in the pan-handle of Florida and this spider was about 11/2 inch across. I wouldn't want to play with him. Thanks for viewing and commenting.
Russ
you are right about my bugs world image... it does look better vertical.. too bad this site doesn't accomodate pictures of that shape (that i know of). i could always make the shap square through cropping.. but the further i crop it the more i notice the leaf at the bottom of the picture being out of focus.. thanks for you advice
hey Matthew , thx for the comment on olemse zoo -owl , you are right about the artifact , i think it is due to compression because it doesn't show with me (in the original)
thanks for your inspiring words!! As I can see in your galery, you ar doing well capturing valuable images!!! very nice. I also have been to the american cemetery in Limburg, netherlands. very imposing there.
"Thanks, all, for the comments, and yes, all, I disagree. :-)
In my opinion, the subject is the sun, which makes the framing interesting. If you don't recognize the sun as a subject, I understand why the framing may seem pointless. As for the blurriness, I put it there. The original shot was in focus, but I wanted a soft feel, especially far away from the sun. The sun is fairly in focus while the rest just gets blurrier and blurrier. I played with the color filters a good deal and liked this the best because the grey needs to be grey, and if I change the color pallette, who wants a purple sun?
Thanks again, I will consider the masses when designing my next upload. :-)"
Thanks for you comment on Six of Diamonds. Sometimes during the year, I have plenty of time to create and post at work. Needless to say, the last week has been really slow. : )
Matthew, thanks for your comment on "Dunes". I just returned from my vacation on the Atlantic ocean when I painted Dunes and the memories were strong. I can not paint without inspiration, so this one turned quite well I guess. :) I appriciate your opinion of my work!
Thanks for all your comments on koringkriek! He is about the size of your thumb (4cm - 5cm). They are harmless, but they are known to eat their own kind if there are not enough plants to eat. They are part of the grasshopper family and can be quite a pest as there can be millions of them at one time. The roads get full of them as they come and feast on the ones that got ran over. They can't fly either. No wings like the grasshopper.
Thanks Matthew for your comment on Thunderbird...I very much appreciate it. Thanks also for noticing the subtle background. That is something new I've been trying.
