Thank you for the comment and vote on (Summer Shade), Swith. The photo was taken in the backyard of the home where my father grew up in Roxbury, CT. I stayed with my grandparents there for my week of vacation this summer. I generally visit once a year, but they also have a home here in Florida so I get to see them more often. I'm glad the photo is one of your favorites. It is a very peaceful place to relax :)
It's the St-Nicholas church. It was finished in 1735. The writer Franz Kafka was born in a house that stood close to this church.
For location, look here (point 3 on the map)

Hi Swith, tks for your comments on High Falls. Not too sure, actually I would need to inquire about that. It is a scenic outlook that is behind a fence, and to tell you the truth, I am not sure I even looked down, lol.

Hello again Swith. I'm really glad you Liked "Old Barn". To answer your question: It is located on Hwy.97 North of Ellensburg and South of Peshastin Washington.
Hiya, thanks for the kind comments about Snap and Sunset in south Ken.. Glad you liked 'em. Snap was taken off the edge of a cliff in the Lake District, which is up north in England. Sunset was in southwest London, near my university. Thanks again :) You thinkin of putting up some pics any time?
Hi Swith. Glad you liked my Tranquility shot. The spot is in Audubon Park in New Orleans. I attended Loyola University across St. Charles Avenue from Audubon Park during the 80's, and this was one of my and my friends' favorite hang-out spots in the wee hours.
Interestingly enough the Gingerbread House shot was done on the same morning (Great light at that time of day) in the same park.
Hello Swith. Glad you liked "Receding Water Line". Just as a by-line: that is the same lake where "Friends" was taken. Only this one was done in the fall and Friends was done in the spring.
Hi Swith and thanks a lot for your comment. I´d say you that Deva River is a short river just in the north of Spain. There the characteristics of the rivers are: short but braves because of the great mountains and the proximity of the sea (Cantabric Sea). All taht is actually a Natural Park and obviosuly is protected. I recomended you to visit it, if you can afford.
Nice to meet you a little. Bye and luck.
Hello Swith. I'm really glad you liked "Foggy Mt. Rainier Sunrise from Reflection Lake". When I started photographing, that morning, you could just see the Mountain. A little breeze came up and 15 minutes later the fog was gone. Just the right place at the right time. Thanks again.
Hi Swith(now thats a different name}..appreciate your taking a look at "A Fishermans Tale". I'm so glad you liked it and had a ton of fun doing it. Thanks again.
Hi again Swith..."Jurassic" was taken at the Bronx Zoo..that would be the Bronx,NYC,NY. it was in the rain forest area...the fog is man made and pumped in for more realism..saw the scene and had to take it....the funny part is i went to the zoo to take animal pics and came away with a landscape....whatever works..right? Appreciate your comments..lots. Thanks Swith.
Hey again Swith, glad you like "Valleys revisited".. I keep forgetting to say where my pics were taken, so I've edited the description. This pic was taken in the Lake District, from the "stone circle" - the cheapass equivalent of Stonehenge..
Hello Swith...Good to hear from you again. Your comments are appreciated of course. This pic was also taken at the Bronx Zoo...sans the face :) thanks.

Hello Swith. I'm glad you liked "Natures' Masterpiece". It was taken on Roaring River, a tributary of the Mc Kenzie River, west of Sisters Oregon.” Thank you for including it in your Favorites Gallery, I am honored.
Swith, thanks for the comments on “Winter Wonderland”, they really are appreciated. You are right Wild and yet peaceful, I don't know as that is a contradiction. There can be peace, chaos and sometimes conflict. Nature IS beauty.
Hi Swith. Thanks for your comment on 'Tuscan Landscape'. It was taken in Tuscany which is in Western Italy. I recommend the place, it's beautiful there.
Thanks for the post on 'Old fort' Swith. To be honest I'm not sure what the real name of the fort is - there are two forts in Corfu town just called the old and new forts, and the photo was of the old one.
Thanks Swith for taking the time to view and comment on my Abrams Falls photo. It is located in the northwest section of Cades Cove in the Great Smokey Mountains National Park.

Prague is one of the most beautiful city I ever visited. In the evening, there is a nice musical ambiance with little groups of classical (or not) music everywhere :-)

Good morning Swith, many thanks for looking, and commenting on The Gathering Storm (Two). I agree with you about Utah, it's one of my favorite places on earth too, when I get out west away from the city's, it's just the greatest feeling in the world. Thanks again. Dwight.
