If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away. Henry D. Thoreau
Hello, Feetjie ... wanted to thank you for your nice comments on "Stunning Yellow." Birds are the most challenging thing for me to capture, for sure, and that is probably what draws me to them, that and the fact that there are so many different kinds of them. Bird photography takes patience, quickness, anticipation, the correct settings, and great equipment always helps. How did I do it, you ask? By following the above ... and a little luck always helps :)
Hi Hannie, I'm glad you like my captures "Mushroom bottom" and "Myst-tique (the day after)". Thank you for your nice comments! I really appreciated it.

The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

"There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition. If there were we would be able to put all the information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible. You have to compose by the seat of your pants." -Arnold Newman
Hey Hannie, thanks a lot for your view and feedback on L'ambiance d'Auvergne (4).
I'm glad you like it! I really do appreciate it :-)
Enjoy the weekend!
Thank you, Hannie, for your lovely comments on Herring River, Cape Cod. Sometimes when all the summer visitors are creating traffic jams and it takes twice as long to get where you want to go by the "secret" back ways, my husband and I need to stop, look at eachother, and say, "But hey, we live here!" :-)))
