aww...you all are so nice a :) I am so addicted to this site now...I'm sending links to all my friends. I wish I had a decent camera so I could actually post something, but alas, I am but a poor student. :-P
thanks for the recent comments. i bought my camera about 3 mo. ago and i haven't put it down, the best option for me in the digital slr market. just enough options for me, the more expensive ones had some that i would never use.for under 1000$ it came with a 18-55 mm lense and photoshop elements.drop me a post if u have any questions..
(jees i sound like one of those real life testamonials lol)
thank you for commenting on "Pretty in Pink". Hope your sister likes the tulips as much as I do! They were even prettier viewed with the naked eye than thru the photo lens, so thanks again for stopping by & commenting! Happy Day!
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Thank you Flurije for the comment you left on "Stream Song". It is tough to find something that is not overgrown in the rainforest;-) I added a slight blur to dampen the hard lines of the dense undergrowth.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Hi Flurije, and thanks for the comment on Wyeth House. Jamie Wyeth obviously grew up under the influence of his famous father. However he seems to have been a precocious artist even as a child without being "forced" and he developed a rather unique style early on. He is perhaps not as famous as his father, but has been very successful nonetheless. If you're interested in learning more about him, a google search under his name will take you in the right direction.
Hi Flurije! Thanks for the comment on "Generic Falls". We have a unique environment on Vancouver Island. We usually catch the warm pacific winds from the south in winter which keeps us from the harsh freezing that the rest of Canada experiences. Along with that comes lots of rain and tons of snow on the mountains. Average rainfall of 10ft/yr.
Well Flurije, I don't think you could find a lovlier place to live than here on the border of Washington and Oregon. Thanks for the comments on "Falls' Last Hoorah' and I'm honored to be in your favorites gallery.

Thank you Flurije for your comments and suggestions on Winter Wonderland.
It appears the same size to me, lol.
Did you download it and look on your desktop? Please let me know if it still appears off center to you.

Thank you for your comments on the Parthanon. I didn't get a chance to go inside when I was there, so I didn't see the statue. I am headed back on business in Feb. maybe I will get a chance then.
I looked through your work - you have some really great shots! What type of camera do you have?
Hi Flurije, sorry I don't have 'Golden' in a higher resolution. It was one of the first photo manipulations I ever did and I didn't think it was very good, so I didn't keep a copy. Thanks for asking, though.
Hi, Flurije, thanks for your comment on Sulfur Butterfly. Although we're not getting any ice here, the northern edge of the same weather system made what was supposed to be a sunny day into a cloudy one. So I needed something colorful to remind me of summer. Glad it helped cheer your day a little as well.

Thank you for the kind words about my Tower Bridge image. If you have a fondness for the bridge and if you have not visited it it is worth the trip.If you have been there then you can understand my feelings as I walked across it for the first time.

thanks again for your feedback. This time on my Parliment image. You are so correct. To create images in London is a challenge. That is why most of my images were done at night. The darkness sort of cloaks the otherwise unplesant things that tend to end up in your photograph. I am sorry but I am not familuar with Reading. Maybe I should check out the south of England on my next trip. I uausally head north and east. There is much to see,and do in England, hoewver my favorite spot is Ireland.

I just looked up Brighton on Google. It is much larger that I dreamed of 250,000 people. That is a BIG city. Do you know how it is ranked in size? 2nd or 3rd I would guess.
If you ever had a choice as to where to study I would have selected Trinity college in Dublin. I love Dublin!! The college is one of my favorite spots to photograph. The library is so impresive. All of those old books that line the shelves as well as the busts of so many great writers. I was not allowed to do any photo work on the interior of the place. efore i go next time i am writig for permission to take a camera iside. No flash. No problem as I can go as high as an ISO of 1600 on my camera.

Flurije, nice to meet you, tks for your recent comments on two of my winter images, and sorry but I do not keep the original images if the manipulations turn out better, lol.

Thanks for the comments on "Hillside".They are interesting and fun to photo, what can I say..It alyways amazes me when I see the detail from a macro shot of fungi.
Thank you for the very nice compliment on "Gold Coast." The photo was taken from a trail many hundreds of feet above the water. Both the view and the trail were amazing. Magic moments. Good luck with the tests... Steve
Hi, Flurije, nice to meet you! I´m glad you liked the picture with the knotty trees (Winter again 9) I think it´s "the three lines" in this picture that makes it quite good. I hope I get the chance to take a new spring version. Appreciate your comment! --- Arne ---
Thanks Flurije for the nice comments on my Polaroid Land photo. I'm glad that you like this image. The images we make could long out live our cameras.

Hi Flurije! Thanks for stopping by my gallery and leaving a comment on "A Great Place to Live." A NASA Educator Resource Center is a facility that makes NASA's educational materials and opportunities available to public school teachers. There are approximately 50 of them across the country. You can learn more about them at http://education.nasa.gov/about/contacts/Educator_Resource_Center_Network.html
Flourije, thanks for looking at Field2, glad you like my photos. :)
the field is in Forvie Sands National Nature reserve, on the east coast of scotland. :¬)
RE:Rock Lake. Thanks for your great comments. I was just standing on the edge of the water and had my camera as low as it could be to the water for that shot. It bloody cold in those mountain lakes, especially in the early fall.
Good morning Flurije
Thank you for your high praise of "Kangaroo Grass". Am very pleased that you like it. And thank you for also adding it to your favourites and your desktop.
Taking a photo of this weed has been a goal of mine for a while, and my first attempt... well, we'll just say that you really don't want to see all those frames that were wasted <grinning>. Was very very pleased when saw this image full screen the first time.
Enjoy your day

Hey Flurjie! Thank you so much for the support on my Desert Oasis shot. Yes, now that it has been brought to my attention, i would have cropped it out too. Well, you live and learn. Thanks again!
Hi, Flurije, thanks for your comment on Pemaquid 2. I was a little disappointed in having people there myself, but the lighthouse is rather famous and is in a park, so what can you do!?
Tybee Island was created to maximize the depth of field. The young lady was an unplanned addition. This was taken with a wide angle lens and f11 to get the most out of the depth of focus. Thanks Flurije for viewing and commenting on this image. It appears that this style of image is not that popular.

Hi Flurije...thanks alot for commenting on my Puppy Love image...glad you liked it and it brought back some memories...even those memories, haha...sorry about the size...I doubt I can do it larger without damage ...it's rather old...my daughter, in the pic, is now a teenager...thanks again.:Pat.
Hey Flurije, thank you for your comments on my posting Remember when - A tank without a mortgage. It would SUCK to have to pump premium fuel these days. I've had those vehicles, now we're moving in the direction of a diesel fleet in the house. 2 down, 2 to go.
I took this picture at a local antique store..... I wish it was still pumping gas at that price!
Hi Flurije... thanks for your comment on Remember When? (Picnic).. im very glad you liked it... yes the dog used to sit or try to walk over everything... .. :D
Thanks on behalf of BJ and me for the comments on "Sweet Oregon Blossoms." BJ's first take was a light, pastel pink frame that complimented the photo very nicely, so you two think alike! I asked her to do a more ornate frame, using lace, since another artist had posted 6 different photos of cherry blossoms. I felt we needed something a little more showy to set this image apart. Thank you for the comment, Flurije. Steve
I am very late with my correspondence to you. Please forgive the delay. Your input is important to me so pleases don't feel that I have avoided you.
Thanks for all of the nice comments about The old Mill image. It is next to impossible to get to where this image was created due to washed out roads and rock slides. In many ways this is good, however the sad part is it is very difficult getting there to get a photograph. You have seen this building from anthing from fine art to an ad for butter. This is one of those photographs that you are required to have if you are a photographer in Colorado. This building is located near Marble Colorado. It was a saw mill at one time. That is about all that is known about it since all history of that old ghost town has been lost with time. The river that it sits above is the Crystal river,

Hi Flurije, thank you for commenting on "Palm House"! You are right, it is a bit dark. The colours were rather flat, so I enhanced the contrast to make it look better... When have you been in Vienna - it has been closed for a couple of years, due to renovating. I haven't been inside yet, but I'm planning to...
Anyway, thanks again!
I am glad you took the time to look at my Treasure Box. You are one of the reasons I decided to post this picture. I hope you enjoyed my"Pretties". Thank you for your support.
Hello Flurije ! I don´t know about starting a business...lol..but team-working is a pleasure and B.J.s artistic eye gives the pictures a great finish. I´m glad you liked Wooden star !
Thanks for the comment on "Frost Doodle". I'm thinking of resubmitting but I guess the risk is high I get no votes at all in stead of getting trashed. ^_^ Hehe...
A lot of great photos are taken by mistake, then found. Don't give up on a failure.

Flurije;
You have been a loyal supporter of my images since I statred on Caedes about five months now. I want you to know that I am humbled by your dedication. It seems all to often people foget to thank those for all that they have done.Your kind acts and remarks have not gone unnoticed my friend. As always I am late with my responses. I don't understand how this happens. I just wanted to say thank you for the support that you gave my Aspen Series The Miners Cabin is the end of it for this year. I have enough aspen images that I could post one a day for another three years I think it is better that I press on to other subjects. Thanks again

Sorry, I have no idea who it is by, but it wasn't exactly in a museum (although it was definately there for artistic purposes). If you think the subject is interesting enough, perhaps I could post a few more shots, but mind you I couldn't really get a better angle; I was standing at the top of a flight of stairs looking at it. Thanks for the comment. :-)
Thank you for your kind words on "Drinks All Around." I looove this shot hehe. I took it with a Sepia filter (because they ROCK) and it was of a pyramid of champagne glasses, twas sweet. Thanks for the comment and I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Do you, don't you want me to love you? Coming down fast I'm right here above you. Tell me tell me tell me the answer. Ain't no lover but you ain't no dancer
Thanks Flurije for stopping to view my BBQ collage...thought that might be you with the thumbs up...just wish I'd caught you with that shaving cream on your face, haha.:Pat.
Bumble Bee Blossom 4 was a quick grab shot. This was the best of several attempts. About the time I could get the focus locked in the bee would fly off. Just a lucky shot and no magic. Thanks for viewing and commenting on this one Flurije.

PS. I like your gallery of works. Very nice wallpaper images.

well hi Flurije, i saw on here that quite a few people have messaged you. i was just saying hi just like i say hi to others on this site greeting them. with your info it says here that you live in tennessee and south carolina, if that is true then tell if you have ever heard of a small place called collegedale TN. it is a beautiful place, and if you ever have a chance you should go and see it.
Hi Flurije thanks for joining in the fun on Poor Charlie.... I had a lot of fun doing it... the bbq was great fun.. and the purple trees you didnt see thats because you were hiding with ALL THE TIRAMISU... lol
To be honest, there was no building. If you have seen a few of the others, you may be able to mentally build what the original looked like (which I plan to uplaod last), but I suppose right now I wouldn't know because I have always seen the original.
The block-like effect which was mistaken for a building was actually produced by a combination of filters, mainly the Illusion filter. The reason it looks so strange is that most of the image was white to begin with (thanks to the Diffuse Glow), which leaves little left to twist.
The next couple have a different type of style if you want to stick around for them. Thanks again! :-)
Flurije;
THanks for your comment on my, Colorado National Monument. If I may quote you "you westerners get the good scenery" My friend look about you. I would love to get back east and spend a year photographing the Smokie Mountains. Dogwood trees and some of the wonderful old buildings that abound in the south. Another item I would like to photograph is (now don't laugh) Cudzoo. Aw you southerners get all of the good scenery. !:0)

Hi Flurije ! No, I didn´t use pins to get that butterfly shot..lol..but a lot of patience is needed ! Thanks for your kind words on the war-painted butterfly ! (Painted For A Pow-Wow 2)
Thank you for your kind comments on "From the Inside Out" Flurije. I'm pleased you liked it. Good luck on the Finals.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.
William Faulkner
