Storm Passing by Lake Sylvan Uploaded: 07/22/11 3:51 AM GMT

Image: Storm Passing by Lake Sylvan

Here's another photo at Lake Sylvan. A storm had just passed and the sun high lighted the rocks and the reflection was amazing. I'm sure I didn't do it justice. But what a great memory. Your comments are appreciated as always.

Thanks for your encouraging words on my fall picture, especially since you're from Minnesota...Once in a few years' time the fates allow us to have the kind of falls that we used to have and it seems that this year is one of them...it's been so dull the last at least ten years that it's so refreshing to go out and take what nature gives us..I know people don't believe it, but it's there..it's real and I shoot in RAW so I bring it up to what I saw..I can only hope that people that come up here to leaf peep can see what's really there :)PJ

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

Tell me if you like it or don't but be sure to tell me why! I promise to always give honest and sincere (albeit gentle when necessary) critiques. MY NEW YEARS TIP for all, go have some fun with your new gear you got for Christmas. Do some things you rarely or never do. If you always shoot scenics, go shoot macros (or as close up as you can get.) Practice on different subjects, try new lighting techniques, bracket your shots (shoot the same image at different exposures and different apertures), get down low and shoot from your back, your belly, and your knees. Bend, twist, lean and climb up on things. Shoot toward the sky (carefully - blown out sunlight is NOT attractive :-) Just do something different and amaze yourself then share with us :-) Love you Caedians.
