Thank you for the comment on (Big Dipper). Yes, Polaris and the rest of the little dipper did not make it into this one, but I was also aware of the trick for finding the north star :). Very useful when you're lost in the middle of nowhere.
whoa. today i discovered the first of your bouguereau paintings and i looked through all your works. their fabulous, very mesmerising to me personally. downloaded several for my own wallpaper... think they rock. thanks alot for sharing!

This is an art!!
Very good copilation
Thank you so much for your kind words for "Lord of the Skies" I really appreciate the comments. No the photo was taken outside, sitting in a tree about 30 feet off the ground.
Thanks so much for your comments on "Frog Crossing". I agree with your critique of the fuzzy right leg. Unfortunately their wasnt enough light for me to use a smaller aperture setting, and was forced to deal with a small depth of field. Thanks again for the comments!
*~I feel myself going down. Again into this despair I trod. Trying to pull myself up again, before you came, failing everytime. But somehow you rescued me from the depths, and I stand proud to be your love~*
Thanks Stefan for your comment on Mulberry season.. im glad you liked it.. and yes thats where silk worms/caterpillars live.. i'll try and find one and get a pic... :D
Thanks Stefan for your honest comments on my Pear photo. I went for a dramatic lighting on a simple object to explore the beauty of this single object. I'm glad that you liked it and I enjoy your comments.

Hi Stefan. No I did not know all that good Dutch history, though of course I knew that the tulip is a dutch icon. All the people up at the farm were dressed in traditional dutch costume - and CLOGS!
About the trading of share, I am not so sure. I think that the Swedes would lay claim to the first common stock company - Stora Koppaberg, founded in 1288 when they first started mining copper.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Hey Stefan, thanks for looking at "Franks' Night Out"...self-portrait, you ask...haha very funny...come to think of it, there have been some mornings..............:Pat.
Thanks again for comments on "Franks' Night Out"...there IS a strong resemblance between John Kerry and Frank...hope John has a little more on the ball though...hehe. : Pat.
Hi Stefan. I appreciate your nice comment about the for My Friends At Caedes photo. It was a beautiful morning with lots of feeling in the air, and I was lucky enough to have my camera on the golf course.
Hi Stefan, and thanks for the comment on "Go Forth". The shot was hand held, and since it was very windy, I had to take several photos to get one that looked decent.
Thanks Stefan for your comment on Stairs to?? im glad you like it.. and i dont know why it came out like that the detail was fine when i uploaded it...
---Yes, you too can have a snazzy Holiday Icon like this, just step outside, face southwest, and holler at the top of your lungs .. "Hey, Avatartans of Aussieland, Help me." ... and somebody will be there shortly, it may be the police, but it may be the 'AoA' representative for your area. ... really.
In regards to the original of Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earing", I have always loved the original (cracks and all), but I find your "smoothing" enhances it greatly. :) As for your own work - WOW! I have finally had a chance to look through your gallary and I am inspired. The paintings are truly lovely - I like the Caravaggio-ish light play. You're photographs are really amazing as well.
Hello Stefan. Thanks for commenting on Chia. The background was burnt to appear darker. It was a black canvas hard cover book as the background and the 20 sec exposure managed to catch a bit more light than I had hoped. You have good eyes and look forward to more comments of this nature;-)
Hello Stefan. Daffodils 7 was photographed in natural sunlight shinning through the window. I used a white card to reflect light back into the shadows. I'm glad that you like this image and I thank you for your nice comments.

Hello Stefan, tks for your comments on Set The Mood!
I think there is something to that black velvet background for the flower images, they are really doing well this past wk.

Hi Stefan ! Thanks for your comment on "Safeguarded harvest". Glad you liked the red hay barn. I like it too! If you have travelled in Sweden sometime you have probarbly noticed houses everywhere painted with this Falu redpaint. There is a special lustre to it. -- Arne --
Wig Head is one of my favorite new images. I love the lighting and the mysterious look of the wig head. Thanks Stefan for viewing and commenting on this image. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Michael Jackson wishes that he looked this good.

Tulip 4 is an early morning shot using an artboard covered with back velvet as a backgound. I used a fill flash to fill in the shadow area. Thanks Stefan for viewing and commenting on this image. I'm glad that you like it.

Hey Stefan, thans for your nice comment on Windmill, when you visit Holland you realy must visit ''Kinderdijk'' lovely place where you can find a lot of these things.
But Thanks mate,
Stefan,
Thanks for your comment on Butterfly. I might could have gotten better focus on the whole insect if I had set a deeper depth of field, but then I risked pulling background clutter into the picture. Always difficult to get that right. Anyway, I'm glad you liked my photo and thanks once again for your comment.
Thank you for sending me the link. :) You're right the origional has a lot of cracks.
It's good that you erased the cracks of yesteryear and restored it to it's natural
beauty. :)
