Thanks, Rachel, for your comment on "wait your turn". 8^) I took the pic before finding Nemo and I can tell you now that there is NO chance that Nemo's dad would have survived. ;^) They can eat!
Thanks so much Rachel, for your comment on Deadly Lace . This was very early one morning, heavy dew , no wind it was perfect, again thanks for your comments. Dwight.
Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

Your Words really catched my heart and to be honest they make this day more beautiful for me...Thanks you so much for your lovely words on "A silent conversation"..
Hope you put up some own picture also...Take Care! / Tommy
Hi Rachael. Thanks for your lovely comment on "Between a Rock and a Hard Place". I also liked the purple color of the lighting! Thanks for taking the time to send me a message about this. M

Rachel, thanks very much for the comments on "Acer rubrum". I am very glad that you like the shot and honored to have it included in your favorites! If you liked "Acer rubrum", I have a whole series of shots just like it that might interest you as well! Thanks again.
Thanks for your comments. To answer your question, the camera used is a Sony F-707 5.0 megapixel digital. Funny to notice that you're from Dorset. I've been doing some geneaology research of my paternal side of the family, and am finding that I'm a descendant of a Robert Curtis of Stalbridge. First entry in the states is 1768 in Virginia.
Rachel, thanks for the comments on "Buttermilk". I am very pleased that you enjoy the shot and again honored to have a photo of mine in your favorites.
Thankyou very much for your comment on wormhole, im glad you like it, I like your work too. I love Dorset, i used to go on holiday in the Bridport area and loads of other places.
I'm from southampton originally, not that far away from Dorset.
Thanx again.
Geoff.
Thank you for your comment on "Further Down the River" I never even thought of that, and am gonna have to watch that movie again now to look for it :D my brother in law's a huge fan of the Duke so I'm gonna now have to show him this and see what he says Thanks again for your comment :)
Hi, Rachel. What I meant when I said, "It must be film" is that an image taken with a film camera, as apposed to a Digital Camera, has a different look to it. I think, if I am not mistaken that your picture was taken with a film camera, right?

Thanks for your comments on my squirrel photo. I kind of took him by surprise. We keep bird (squirrel) feeders stocked year round, so the neighborhood squirrels are quite well fed. If he was peeved, it was because I interrupted dinner time!
ps - Jessica Rabbit is probably my favorite toon!
Hi Rachel - thanks for your post on 'Harbour' - glad you enjoyed it.
Sorry about the black borders, but that image is made up of about 6 photos stitched together, and when you do that the edges get all warped and bent, so I had to crop some of it out leaving a non-standard layout and hence the big borders. phew!
Woody was a great cat very timid soul. until I had to give him up for "doing his business" on the carpet instead of in the box in the garage. he ruined many thousands of dollars worth of carpet, couldnt get the smell out.
Hi Rachel, I'm glad someone besides me liked the pottery plates. I loved the color and the whimsey of the design. I took quite a few shots there, but when no one showed any interest, so I didn't bother to post more.
Hello Rachel.I'm glad you liked "Nature in Balance" and yes the local people not just the authorities work very hard to keep this area in balance. I also feel very strongly about conservation as my images show. I shoot, generally in areas that have been set aside and left pretty much to Mother Nature.
Wallowa Lake is a natural lake formed from a terminal moraine of an old, long since vanished, glacier. The lake has Kokanee salmon in it that every fall migrate up the river to spawn. They turn a bright red as they migrate and just like Pacific Ocean Salmon, once they spawn they die.

Thank you so much Rachel for your comment on "Mt. St. Elias." That is the nicest comment anyone has ever given me on any of my pictures. I thank you very much.
Today a man on acid realized that we are all one conciousness, there is no such thing is death, life is just a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.
Thanks Rachel for your comment on Road Of Purple... im glad you liked it.. the colours are amazing.. they are called Jacaranda Tree and only bloom around October/November..
Rachel, thanks very much for taking a look at Pemaquid Lighthouse and for your comments. I'm very glad you liked the photo...the rocks there are simply amazing..Mike
To travel is a true passion. After a journey, we directly seek the next destination... ;-)
It's so enriching to meet other cultures! Thanks for your kind message, Rachel.
Hey Rachel, thanks so much for your nice comment on "Sunbathed island" it really raised my morale! I'm glad you liked it. And I love your personal icon!
Hello Rachel! Thank you for viewing and commenting on my image Stay in the Van. I'm glad that you liked it. Most of the grain in this image is actually the very small water droplets on the window.
Yes, cats love the Xmas trees for some reason. I think mine are impressed with the lights, and of course anything that dangles off so they can swipe at it. My tree's a little to small for any climing action but I wouldn't put it past them to try anyway. Thanx for your comments, much appreciated. LPF
Thanks for taking time to comment on "Symphony in Stone." It is an incredible view, isn't it? There are places in Utah, up on the high plateaus - where you can see forever. Such awesome scenery is one reason why Utah has so many national parks, monuments, etc.
One reason I really enjoy Caedes is that I can see photos of other wonderful places I've never been to. Lovely places. Makes me really appreciate what a beautfiul spot in the universe that our world is.
I have ancestors who came from England, Ireland, and Scotland, but I've never been there yet. Hopefully, some day.
Between the fabulous places the world has to offer and all the kind and wonderful people I meet, I'd say it's great to be alive! Thanks again for taking time to write.
Hey, Rachel, that's kinda funny, because we used to have a golden retriever who had to have a long name like that, and her's was Raggedy Ann of Robinhood.
Hi Rachel, glad to hear from you and thanks for your comments On a Clear Day. I think England is one of the most beautiful places I have been (spent several very pleasant days in Poole a few years ago). If you ever get a chance to come to the US, I highly recomend the Southwest, especially northern Arizona. Ohio, where I grew up, is not too different from Dorset in terms of vegetation and climate. The first time I saw the desert in northern Arizona, it literally took my eyes and mind a couple days to adjust to what I was seeing. It is totally different from anything you may have experienced.
Thanks Rachel for the comments on my Hey Whats This Thing photo. These little critters went all over and it took a while to get them in one place. I'm glad that you enjoy this image. I added the sepia tone to give it a softer feel.

Thanks for your comments on "Ore Cart", Rachel; appreciated much, believe me. I'm a fan of your b&w work, and also of Moonshadow, who needs to go one one of those low carb diets!
Thank you very much for your pleasant comment on "Obidos". It is indeed true that the weather was hot enormously this day (more 30°F!!) and I can also say to you that it is by looking at these photographs, that I hope that my Canadian winter will not be too long!! Fortunately!!! Bye!

Thanks, I got those shoes for a formal i went to, and once i saw them i fell in love. I'd never really liked a pair of shoes that much before and.. those shoes are SO INCREDIBLY ADORABLE!! Except last night i stepped in a deep puddle in them because of my brother, but they're ok. I love your black and white pictures, I want to do the pictures with like.. random things colored, but the programs i have don't do that. WHOA i wrote a novel, sorry!

Hi Rachel,
Thanks for the positive feedback on "The Rock" I'm glad it inspired you. Actually it's the texture I like about it, because deep down I am a texture freak !.....................John
Thanks, Rachel, for the gracious comments on "Day Lilly Lit." I have to admit, I was pulling weeds, and suddenly, there was the image. I ran inside for my camera... Sometimes I think the best shots are those that happen unexpectedly. Steve
Hey Rachel!! Thank-you so much for your really kind comments on 'Phat Leaf' - I've had it as a desktop for a few weeks, it has been a calming image, the colour and simplicity work well! Again - thank-you so much for your words, they mean a lot to me, bye!
Hi, Rachel...I've been busy on other projects the last few weeks and have not been to Caedes. But I was pleased tonight to find your comments on "Heart of the Canyon". I'm very pleased you liked the photo, and thanks again for the very flattering commernts. Some folks were distracted a bit by the shadows in the photo, but the canyon is so deep that shadows are inevitable. The only question is how you'll work with them. Anyhow, thanks again for your kind words! Mike
Hi Rachel - thanks for your post on 'Here comes the rain again...' - you're right it was a monster storm! It's a shame I don't have a waterproof kit for my camera or I'd have taken a few 'eye of the storm' shots....
hey rachel, thanks for your comment. that arch is a pedestrian bridge over the yarra river. if u ever get to visit melbourne, u'll get to witness drunk people and morons alike who actually manage to climb up and walk over the arch...
when i took in the sun it was just by my house in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. we've had a cold spell where the high never got above -20 or so for over a week.
Hey there Rachel! Thanks for stopping by on 'Milly' - we haven't been able to have a cat for about 7 years! So she is a welcome new family member! Cheers!!
Hello Rachel! Thanks for the nice comments on my Mingus Mill 2 photo. I'm glad that you like it. It was shot at ISO 64, f 8 and about a 1 second exposure.
Russ
Thanks Rachel for taking the time to view and comment on my Providence Spring 2 photo. The original spring started flowing from the ground like a providence from God to provide water to the dying soldiers. This fountain and spring house were built later after the area became a National Historic Site. I'm glad that you liked this image.

Thanks Rachel for the comments on Hull Grotto. The rocks had a blue tint to them that came out stronger in the photo for some reason.Very cold there..about 25 degrees.

Hi Rachel. Thanks for the nice compliment on "Milk Run." That was the photo I wanted to display. I posted "Fishhawk Falls" so that people could see the entire waterfall, though it's difficult to photograph well due to the terrain at the bottom of the falls. I also got a neat photo last night of several Roosevelt elk, majestic animals, that I'll post sometime later this week. Thanks for stopping by.... Steve
Hello Rachel, lol. That is my ten yr old above me here, forgive her spelling, lol.
Tks for your comments on Desktop Joey!
He's a really sweet pooch.

Thanks Rachel! I'm glad that you found my Plant Textures interesting. I appreciate your nice comments. This was taken with my new camera as a test shot.

Thanks Rachel! I'm glad that you liked my Playground Climber photo. Thanks for your nice comments. I was just trying out my new camera and its features.

Thank you Rachel on your lovely comment on "Elephant's Head". I live in Alpinean part of Slovenia, the water there is very cold even in summer. I wouldn't swim through there, coz I'm a warm person. I will post the shot from below of the head tomorrow, feel free and take a look of it. Thanx again. :o)
Rachel, thank you for the kind comments on "Beuaty at the Center". I really like lily's a lot myself and recently saw a PBS special on the Egyptians and the lotus flower - I have to wonder if the lotus is related to the lily. There is a garden somewhere in england where they have lotus flowers that have ancestry that date back to the Egyptians. I would love to travel across the ocean for a chance to photograph them! The garden looked absolutely amazing. Thanks again, Michelle
