Freezing Waters Uploaded: 12/06/10 10:57 PM GMT

Image: Freezing Waters

I seem to have a knack for taking photos, but I can sit here for 20mins and not think of a title for them. Does anyone else have that problem? lol. This was taken a few years ago in Phoneix, NY. On the Oneida River. I tried to give it the feeling as is you could walk into the scene. One would want to tred carefully tho. Thanks for having a look, any comments are welcomed.

Thanks for the kind comment regarding my gallery. I appreciate it. Welcome to caedes. I'm happy to see you have settled in here and kept your work coming. Your pieces have a very intriguing and distinct feeling to them. I particularly like "From Dusk 'till Dawn" and "The Final Judgement". The layering works out very nicely in those and makes for a dreamlike quality.

Hey Jason,

First, let me be second to welcome you to the site.

Annnnd ...

Just caught your piece; "Contemplating when.." ... excellent and most impressive work. And I was compelled to mention you on a discussion thread, found here ... A Voting Game!!!

It is that good in my eyes.

Give me some time to get around back to your galleries. I am looking forward to that visit and seeing more of your work.

Les.

hi Jay, im glad you liked the infra red river shot, theres a few more in my gallery! (i have bit of an obsession with that filter) :-)
i have not had much sucess immitating this in photoshop, although you can download an infrared action and also a fake infra red filter thing, but i dont like the effects myself.
in the latest paintshop pro there is an infra red effect which is more successful, if you look in my gallery for daisy and lily, you can see how it comes out.
Have fun :-) Jan

Re Two for One (c/p response to all my commenters)--I knew the frame and the picture didn't go together and I mentioned that in my description. So I can't see why that was even an issue with anyone. (Did that sound harsh. It wasn't meant to. I just went out on a limb.) And since I know most people have their manipulating devices I'd just figured if anyone like the kayak enough they could crop it out. And if they liked the frame they could do the same with that. So as you see I'm well aware of the "clash-iosity and did it anyway.
