Jessie, I live in a small town called New Paltz, NY. It's about 2 hours from the city. I don't know where Folton is. I'm guessing it's farther upstate, nearer to Albany or even Buffalo. Your pics of south FL. sure look nice. You've probably never experienced a New York Winter.

I like your pets and all the cool lighthouse shots. I am getting a digital camera and hope to get some shots in Minnesota. You have a great talent, Keep up the beautiful pics.
Thank you very much! That was a sweet thing to say. To answer your question about 9 yrs. I've attended a few 'Handfasting' ceremonies and they are beautiful. Someday I will attend my own. LOL Again thanx!

There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,

Tks Jeremy for your comments on Caffeine Fix for Fox. Yes, they are quite timid, but there are so many here and this one being so young, probably didn't know any better. You could hear others in the bush indicating mom wasn't too far away. Good reason to stay in the vehicle to get the shots.

I'm glad you liked "Evil The Cat." It was a fun photo to shoot with my fiancee and I playing tourist in our city. The cat was a nice one, but when I looked at the shots afterward that one looked wicked cool. Your comment means a lot coming from the authour of "Pete in Black and White" and "Miss Kitty." Thanks.
Hi Jeremy! Very interesting comment on " sit down and relax"
I have to look at it with new eyes and i agree, it can be a little creepy too..
Thanks for your time to comment on this one../ Tommy
Thanks very much for your comment on Hawaii Sunset 2 -- I think the clouds did a lot for the depth of the photo, because the lighting was so varied -- some of them were still fully lit, and others were completely dark. So yeah, it looked like a million miles away; but then I think it's a little more than that ;-)
thanks Jeremy for commenting on my kitty picture "roar" = ) really umm *apreciated* im trying to find another word for "apreciated" since everyone uses it , and maybe might abuse it as just writing something, buT! i cant = ) but i really do apreciate comments on the photos i take, escepsiallly !!! my kitty pics :)
Thank you Jeremy for the nice commet on "Dead End 2". Glad it made you think of times past. I used hue/saturation in Photoshop 7 to make the sepia tones;-)
Thanks for the comment on 'sunny spot' The cat and couch are both the same shade of blue/gray but the walls and curtain were white. Since the light was so close to the camera on the couch the whole shot was saturated with that color. I liked the effect and left it.
Wow! Hi Jeremy I didn't think anybody liked my photo, "Metropolis". I figured it had a double whammy of being in black and white and of being a photo that no one could identify. It's actually a shot of the Getty Museum of Art in Malibu, California. I shot the photo in a vertical aspect, then rotated it 90 degrees for the image. The building is not actually oriented that way :-) Thanks for the encouragement. I'll keep it.
Thank you Jeremy for your feedback on my Train Wheel photo. I'm glad that you liked it enough to make the nice comments. I looked like a mechanical face to me when I first saw it.

Thanks for the comment on "Annie" That washed out look came from trying to expose for the dark window. The bright light on the faded wood really stood out.
Thank you for the comment on fall. It was taken at the start of a hike at ribion creek in Kananaskis (rockey mountians kinda near banff). It would be a nice place to live.
"A piece of toast with butter always lands butter side down, and a cat always lands on its feet. What happens if a piece of toast is tied butter side down to the back of a cat? Does it perpetually hover above the ground in indecision when dropped?"
Thanks for your comment on "Do you like my style" was getting a little disappointed that nobody had commented on it. However, didnt quite understand, what do you mean, it must be film??? Sorry being dense!
Yeah it was taken with a film camera. Im not much into digital as a way of photograph except on a night out. I like my SLR. However, not only is this film but i developed the film and processed the photograph all by hand if you think that might make a difference too. Thanks for answering my querie its most appreciated. :)
Thankss for your comment on another one with clouds. I didnt really think it was that special so 'breathtaking' is a really big complement. Thankyou!!! :D
Thanks again, Jeremy, for stopping in at "the road I took". I spend quite a bit of time in the upstate area, primarily Washington county. I love it up there and I also like the proximity of VT.
Thanks Jeremy for your generous comments on "Nice View" and "The World Through A Drop of Water". I'm glad you enjoy them. Just keep at the macro shots, it takes lots of practice, i'm sure you'll get some really stunning shots :)
Thank you Jeremy for viewing and commenting on my Over The Hill photo. I'm glad that you took a liking to it. This image was originally in color but I didn't like the tones so I converted it to a sepia tone.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for the feedback on " Conservation Area", we seem to take the same type of pictures you and I after checking your gallery. I have hundreds of woods, stream and outdoor photos but they don't seem to get the action flowers seem to get so I hold back on their postings. John
Thanx for our opinion. It makes me glad to know that you like it. I'm just learning about photography, so it helps when people are encouraging. Thanx again. LPF
Wow, eight cats. I love cats, but I have only two. I think I take more pictures of them than anything else these days. I think they're sick of the flash though (lol). I do try to get outdoors to take photos, but it averages about -20 celsius here right now. My cats will have to live with it. Thanx for your comments, much appreciated. LPF
Jeremy, thank you for the nice compliment on "Frosty Dawn." That was one of my first attempts to do something suitable for this website, and I'm thrilled so many people, including you, seem to like it. Thanks again. Steve
Hey Jeremy,
Thanks for the feedback on "Bracebridge Barn" glad you liked it. I think I have the same "barn condition" as you, but I wish it was contagious, there aren't enough barn huggers around. My dream has always been to live in a converted barn.............John
Hi Jeremy, thank you for the encouraging comment on (Seeing is Believing). I'm always glad to here when someone else appreciates one of my photos that doesn't do so well on the site, especially when it's one I like so much myself :)
Spasibo, Danke...all those words you find floating on those multi-lingual thank you card. I appreciate hearing other's thoughts on my work, so "thank you!" It's immensely helpful, and perusing your gallery, I'm noticing I've downloaded a lot of your stuff! Go figure. =D
