Hey Jim....thank yu every so much for enjoying my white cloud over the beach and Ocean photo...It's an amazing spot to view from when this happens. I've seen it a few times. Every time it's like the first time. Anyone can take a photo like this, but ya gotta happen to be there at that moment..heehee I'm glad I could share this with you..thankies..verena
Hi Jim, Thanks for the comment on "Cloudy but Clear Reflections" I did alot of concert shots but not sure if that is allowed on caedes. I have not downloaded them onto the puter yet either. He was so very good! Lots of passion! sandi♥
One item on my "bucket list" is to visit every National Park in the United States. So far, 2 are in the book. Please check out my website for all my shots from Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.
Hey Jim..thanks for your comments on "Raymondskill Falls"...I'm not sure exactly what my settings were for that particular shot. But, I can tell you that I always use a tripod (a must for waterfall shots) and I use a neutral density filter (usually 0.9). Coupled with an EV of -2, I can usually manage shutter speeds of around say 3 to 6 seconds. That particular day was stormy and overcast, so many of the places were darker than normal and I managed shutter speeds of up to 25 seconds. With all that said...I would say my f-stop would probably be somewhere in the 20 range, which helps to render most of the scene in detail.

I am on my way for a holliday for a while, if weather permits, i will go and see 6 countries, the parts of where
the alp mountain range lays. Germany, Austria, Liechtenstein, Switzerland, France, Italy.
But as said it depends on the weather, and how my bad back is holding out.
Before i go, i want to thank you for taking the time and effort to view and reply to my latest postings.
It is realy apriciated, and always good to read when someone likes the photo's/dekstops.
Hope to come back, with a lot of new material, wich i shall post at caedes.
Thanks for your lovely comments on my "Mystic Falls." This was my first attempt at blurring and I didn't ahve a tripod with me. I was tickled that it turned out. With a little practice I might even get better. : )
Hi Jim, Thanks so much for leaving a comment on Cruise Control is the Best Invention. I forgot they were called windshields with you. I got so confused while i was out there with all the different terminology. The best one was when we were off to Yellowstone and were camping. I went into the shop asking for a torch.....turns out its not torch its flashlight but the poor lady had no idea what i was on about until my hubby rescued me LOL!!
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the almighty. I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom i trust". Psalm 91: 1 and 2
Thanks Jim for your kind comment on "Still green". The "bear" sure is happy that it is getting a bit colder... she's a newfoundlander so she loves the cold.
Have a great week.
Gabrielle
And thanks also for the kind comment on "The family". Indeed before you know it they are all grown and ready to go out there on their own. But right now they look really cute and fluffy.
Hey Jim...thanks so much for your comments on my waterfalls...glad ya like!!
Are you following the world series at all? I'm getting run ragged here! I'm emotionally and physically drained at this point...I just need one more W and its over!!
Hey Jim I really wanted to get a face shot but I got lucky w/ his back side. He flew away moments after this shot. Thank you for your kind comments and info:)
Heyyy, thx for the very sweet comment on my hand and computer drawn scarecrow....:) It's kinda goofy looking, but my thanks to you for liking it-lol. Best wishes! MM

Hi again
Thank you for your nice comment you left at "Floating Dreams". It's very much appreciated I checked out Roger Dean's Art work ...impressive and beautiful:)
Hey Jim..thanks for commenting on "Painting with Fall 3"...definitely take a shot at the swirling leaves thing..its challenging and a lot of fun to try. I agree..I'm ready for some winter waterfalls...definitely difficult to shoot as well with all the snow and ice to get the exposure right.
Thank you Jim for your nice comment on "Christmas tree". They look kinda funny indeed those snow flakes. But believe me that the sky really was that color.
Thanks Jim for your comment on "Sunny moon". I know it is something different and nice to see... nothing wrong there. What I feel is wrong with this image is that there is a lot of noise in the sky and I don't know how to remove that.
Also thanks for your comment on "Where did I leave it". Since I really had forgotten were I put it... I just stayed at my dancingschool until almost all the bikes were gone.
Hey there...thank you ever so much for all your wonderful comments on my Bannack, the ghost town series. That means a lot to me, to know you enjoyed them. Verena
Thanks Jim for your lovely comment on 'longing'. It does indeed hurt much but I have great hope it will get better soon.
Until that time you will have to do it with images from my shoebox.
Also many thanks for your comment on 'what happened'. If you would try to make it yourself you would surely fale...
I too love the sculpture mother nature made.
