One of the absolutely beautiful domes in St. Peters Basilica (which is in Vatican City/ Rome). I was walking around and when I looked up, it seems that God was looking at me too. =)

Hey Alexandra. To answer your question about England, I can some it up in one word - RAIN. But, when it's sunny, it is amazing, especially in the famous Lake District. (Although you lot have probably never heard of it!) I would like to visit Maryland, sounds so, how do i put this, seriel! I'm probably wrong (for a change!), but it does sound like a quiet, friendly place.

I havn't been to Scotland no, but i really want to. I only live about nearly two hours away, so i ought to really. I bet it's still amazing where you live - it just sounds it! Have you ever been to Scotland? We were going to move to Ireland, but we decided not to for some reason. I could hav got some decent shots if we had, but ah well, theres always time to visit.

Hey again Alexzandra! I doubt you'll see me in Scotland sadly. I'll be in good old England. I would love to visit the famous Loch Ness aswell, but i suppose I've got my whole life ahead of me (touch wood!). And thankfully I don't live near London, I live up in the North West, so I'm hours away. Everyone was so shocked when we heard about the bombs, as the IRA are known for bombing cities in England; although this isn't IRA work, so everyone is cautious now. My brother was in London only last week, so he had a lucky escape. Although it wasn't on the same scale as the World Trade Centre Attack on your side of the big pond.

I've heard of it alright! I haven't seen the new one unfortunately, but i saw the original a few years back. From what I remember, it was very good. I'm hoping to see the new one, as everyone has told me it is excellent. I'm hoping to win a pair of tickets from school to see it anyway this week, so I'm crossing my fingers. Have you seen the new one? I do hope it sticks to the storyline though, as the new 'Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy' didn't. :-(

I agree with you, it's fascinating to be in a place with a history, to feel the atmosphere and to imagne how it was back then a long time ago. And to think about how my own life would have been if I lived there then. We have a great saying in swedish (I don't know if it exists a corresponding one in english) about feeling the historical atmosphere which goes: "Att känna historiens vingslag". In a translation, feeling the flaps of the wings of history.
