Michael - yes, I agree. Monhegan is wonderful. When I wore my "Monhegan" hooded sweatshirt to work today, I drifted back to our time on the island in September - sure would like to spend an extended period of time there. And I can't wait to get back again! Glad you viewed my "Last sunset on Monhegan" image. ~ Jan

Hello Michael. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my Providence Spring photo. I just liked the rolling green hill with the clouds and the tones of the rock spring house. I'm glad that you like it.

Hi, Michael...glad you enjoyed Black head at Dawn. Hard to explain Monhegan to someone who has not been there. Like you, we loved the place. And we're going back for a week in May.
Hello Michael! Thank you for viewing and commenting on my image Stay in the Van. I'm glad that you liked it. Most of the grain in this image is actually the very small water droplets on the window.
Hello. Thanks to look at 'Wild nature in Quebec'. This is one of my oldest photos on the site. I visited your country a few years ago. Wonderful for fishing and canoeing... :-)
Michael, thank you for your kinds words concerning my posting New Hampshire Calm Base. I was pleased, and humbled to see it reach Top Images. I'm very happy that you enjoyed it.. I agree that many of the beautiful images on the site stem from New England. It's not hard to understand as each turn provides such bounty for the eye and the lens.
Hey Michael, thank you for recognizing and enjoying my photo entitled Swan on Fall Pond. I'm glad you liked it and appreciate your comments. This shot was done in Canada but, further to earlier comments, I have more Maine shots in the stack to post. A shot or two from Portland harbour that you and others might enjoy.
Hi Michael. Thanks for your comments on "winter in New England". I live in the southern most state of New England, Connecticut. But I grew up in Rhode Island. I do have a small piece of property in Fayette, ME, just west of Augusta.
Michael, many thanks for your comment on Monhegan Surf. Especially appreciated since it appears you're from Maine. We're headed back to Monhegan for a week in May and I'm looking forward to spending most of that time with a camera in my hands.
Good morning Michael
Thank you for your comments and appreciation for "Dead stump in water". Am glad that you like it. Am fascinated with the fact that it actually grew in that environment in the first place.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning Michael
Thanks for your comments on "Unusual road signs: Motorbike heaven", and am glad that you enjoy it. Lonely images, eh? I haven't checked in there for a while.
Enjoy your day

Thanks for your comment on "Spring already?", Michael. You're welcome to upload your rework, as long as you credit me for the original image - I look forward to seeing what you've done with it :-)
Thanks for your nice comments on my Cape Town and Storms River pictures.
I put the wires there on purpose to create a bit more depth in the picture. Ans Storms River looked like Paradise to me!
I'm glad you liked Niagara Falls USA yes at night they fill the reservoir with water from the river to use to run the power plant below the falls down river you might like this web site you can watch live video.....

Thanks for the comment on Field and Forest.. I grew up just down the road from that field and played in that forest a lot with neighbor kids.. So it's kind of special to me.. Very glad you enjoyed it, too...
Hi Michael, thanks for the comment on the VT walk. Yeah, it will be pretty in fall. I go up often enough, I'll try and get this same shot, different season.
Thanks for the comments on "Forests Edge".Glad that you liked it.Also for "Old Pier".I actually toned down the color on that a bit.Just came out like that and looked that way that day.Thanks.Glad that you liked Mushroom forest as well. With those sort of macros the distance away from the subject is most importent for the focus to come in.A fraction of an inch off and it doesnt work.
Hello Michael, I just dropped by to say thank you for your comments about “Dusky Blades”. I drove past that windmill frequently waiting for the right evening to get my photo. I’m pleased you enjoyed the result.
Hello Michael, hope you will forgive me, but this message is pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my image "As The Seasons Change" and “At The Giants Feet". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
Thanks for you lovely compliment on "Six a.m.", Michael - somehow the church tower looks even more ornate in silhouette than it does in more normal lighting...
Hello Michael. Thank you for your query about “Dunbogan”. The body of water top right is a shallow inlet with beaches that are underwater at high tide. The things in the water are oyster leases.
Michael, thanks for your comments on Maine Sky With Eiders. I took a quick run through your Monhegan shots and they look great...some perspective in there I can learn from for my next visit. Will get back for more detailed comments this weekend.
Regarding 30 vs. 10 miles, the pic was taken fro mthe end of the dock, and Pt. Clyde is more or less in the center. Based on some careful looking at maps, I'm reasonably sure the far away landform on the right of the photo is Vinylhaven...which is a bit farther off then Pt. Clyde.
Thanx for the nice comment on my waterfall tree roots...yup, nat'l parks are grand places to see kewl stuff. We are fortunate to have them thats for sure
Hi Michael
Thanks for you nice comment on "onion".
You are right i wanted to create an Italian/France atmpohere in it.
But in fact i shoot this one at home on my roofgarden..hope you aint dissapointed now..grinn.
Thanks for youir nice comment on Blondie.. He is such a sweet little guy.. He just loves to tease me and get his picture taken.. I truly appreciate your time..
Thank you very much for your positive feedback on the "cathedral in Frombork". I know about the horizon line. It would be better if it was a little bit higher. We would see more of the coast and the bay in the background. Unfortunately it depended on the tower from which I took the shot.
Hi Michael...thanks a lot for the positive feedback on 3 - in - 1...glad you liked it well enough for your favs and I appreciate the generous marks you gave it.:Pat.
thanks for the comments on fresh snow, but i dont think i'll upload the colour version. i shot it as a jpg (so i cant adjust temperature later) and the only colour was a bit of cyan in a few parts of the snow, which really made the shot less interesting because you realized how little colour there really was, and cant use your imagination as much as with b&w
Hi Michael, many thanks to you for stopping by to view "An Array of Splendor"! You may visit anytime for a little shading! I would like that! Smiling, Sincerely, Marilyn
Hey, thanks for peeking at my Gull Rock shot. Monhegan and the whole Maine coast is a cool place, doing mighty battle with Colorado for first place on my list of best spots on the planet. I sorta envy you living close to there. If it weren't about a 14 hour drive, I think we'd visit 4-5 times a year. No end of things to see and experience.
Hi Michael
Thanks for your nice comment on "Rachid ( boy from Taourirt )
glad you like it.
And yes you are so right this boy had an old man's face.
But I know his family and he is just a lucky boy who had enough chances to play and have a normal childhood.
Alright, hot-shot, that's enough lip from you! I challenge you to a snowball fight. Meet me behind the preschool at 2:25 if you are any better than a coward.
Thank you very much for your nice comment on in the village of "Golden Stream" I am glad you liked it. I am going to upload more golden captures if you are interested. Stay tuned.
Glad you visited sunblessed. Your nice words are much appreciated my friend. This was the only moment when I could see the sun. And my plans were so ambitious - I went for a trip to Czersk, in the neighbourhood of Warsaw to visit a medieval fortress. The weather was terrible.
Michael Congratulations ! Your second image, the one we all reccommended, got onto the calender !! Good for you ! I was so happy for you when I saw the calender, I just chuckled.
Lauren
hello Michael, thanks a lot for our kind comments on "An angel" I really appreciate, I did it of the original photo (color) to a drawing picture, and I guess it very catching...thanks. enjoy your day!!!
Hello Michael. Thank you for visiting my gallery. I am very glad you liked my tiger-lily.
About the image... well, it was uploaded about two weeks ago but considering the amount of uploaded photos per day I think it's normal to have so little responses... The galleries are huge. Anyways, I hope other people will find it eventually and enjoy it. Thanx again. :]
