Let nothing disturb you, Nothing affright you.
All things pass,
God is unchanging.
Patience obtains all:
Whoever has God
Needs nothing else.
God alone suffices.
St. Theresa of Avila
thanks for commenting on my "almost summer!" picture. You said i must use a excellent camera; not excatly. Its a pentax normal point and shoot sort of thing. Autofocus and what not, 3x zoom, nothing much.
:-) Well, I think there are things more beautiful than math, but it does seem like an art. It's amazing to me how all these little symbols have come together over the centuries to create something so... mesmerizing. It's a fitting, ultimate monument to the human mind.... Oh, and thanks for comment!
Yes it is indeed a very mystical place, the Loch Lomond. Even if are there people. You have the idea that you are alone. Such a powerful environment hangs here.

Thanks for commenting on my geese out for a walk....they were so cute walking back and forth across the road. All the people in their cars just sat there watching them for at least 5 minutes while the geese tried to make up their mind which direction they wanted to go. It's one of those "ha...I told you I should always keep my camera with me" moments!
A little something? I just don't tolerate with such modesty! You either shoot out of passion or you don't shoot at all! Photography is about seeing things others can't see.

For me, the strength of photography lies in its ability to evoke humanity. If war is an attempt to negate humanity, then photography can be perceived as the opposite of war.

I guess every girl goes through a photography phase. You know, horses... taking pictures of your feet.

Science and art belong to the whole world, and before them vanish the barriers of nationality.

Thanks for commenting on "Meet you on top of the hill". I see your from northern Minnesota. I was to North Mankato Minnesota twice on business. The land is very rich and the soil is a lot darker than in Maryland.
Thanks for your interesting comment about Finnish immigrants, love to read . I know that plenty of people went to America, some of my relatives too. I'm glad to give you some joy with my photos. All the best... "Elini"( Helena)
Fire in the Sky............. Thanks for stopping by and your kind comments. Since that shot, I've been keeping better tabs on the sky, and have a few more in my gallery, all different, but equally intrigueing.
I also have a brother, on Farm Island Lake, near Aitkin.
I always liked H.H. He was a real gentleman, unlike that foul mouthed Nixon. Not that he wasn't bright. He just lacked integrity.Truman was another mistake by the American public, but big money pushed him aside. He was to honest, and wouldn't be manipulated.
By the way, if you didn't find the other sunsets, I think they were called Firestorm.
Hi & thanks for the comments on Hans Christian! This sculpture is actually in Sioux Falls where I live. They have a sculpture walk downtown & this one of the displays this summer. Thanks again for visiting..glad you liked it!!

Thanks for liking my sunset. To get the grass perspective. I found a small sand dune, backed away from it to get the dof and sat in the sand. It worked.
Hi Karl, Say you are from Minnesota also .... the northern part is very beautiful. I appreciate you stopping by "Suspension Bridge" & for your kind comments. Greatly appreciated & I'm glad you enjoyed it. There are so many great state parks in MN ... I have been to 5 total. Thanks once again, Sherree
Thanks for the commentbs on "Ceades Fat Kat". There is no orginald picture all of it came out of my head using photoshop...I made a panda, turned it into a fox, and turned the fox into the Caedes Fat Kat creation. Check out my gallery to see where it all started..imagination is the key;o)...Thanks again...Kat
Hello MathKing99. Thank you very much indeed for your comments about my photo "Wheat Field & Oak". Your view of my picture was the most imaginative and refreshing comment I have had since I have been a member of Caedes. Your point of view was gratefully received.
Thanks for comments on "rounding the tip". I was on a tour boat and had to go where the boat went so I can't really claim that it was "carefully set up". Just saw the shot and took it. Everybody else on the boat was so intent on seeing bears that they seemed to totally ignore all the beautiful scenery we passed by on the way out.
BTW - were you a former math teacher? I *LOVE* math. I've lived most of my life programming but I still do a lot of math stuff just for the heck of it.
Hi Karl, Thanks for your comments on "Davis Bay ... St. Croix, USVI. Glad you enjoyed it. So are the Twins going to surprise everyone ?... hopefully they will keep on winning. Much appreciation, Sherree

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Hi Karl, Thank you for your comments on "C'est La Vie". Glad you enjoyed it ... I had fun making it look like a painting. Wow those Twins amaze me ... division champs. Hooray!!!!! Take care, Sherree

"For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if One died for all, then were all dead: and that He died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto Him which died for them, and rose again." II Corinthians 5:14-15, KJB
Hi Karl, Thank you for your comments on "Winter Blues". After getting over 2 feet of snow, it is almost gone now after the warmer temp's. Looking forward to spring though. Glad you enjoyed it. Sherree
How are you doing King. Thank you for your comment on "Pearched" Dragon. I caught him just after he caught a fly so I was lucky that he didn't mind my presence all to much.
