Hi guys, sorry for the lack of updates (and I agree about Skin, it's not my strongest work) but I've hopefully got some more nice shots to put up from my last holiday. I've been thinking of selling some prints via Ebay though, so I'll maybe have to spend some time with that for a while.
Thanks Pierre. I'm hoping to have some new images soon, I've just ordered a Canon A620 to replace my ageing Minolta Dimage S304. I've had a good 4 and a half years out of the old workhorse but it's time for a change. Looking forward to seeing what I can do with the 1cm macro range :)
My You looking at me photo was taken on a foot bridge crossing a dam on a lake in North Georgia. This Bold Jumping Spider was very agressive towards the camera when I moved close to take a photo. Thanks Morat for the comments. This is a telephoto-macro shot with max zoom. Those extreme setting causes a loss of detail.

Hey, thanks for checking out "Outer Limits" I'm glad you like it. I was trying to go for turbine look, so I'm glad you thought it looked like one! I haven't heard of Blender before, but it sounds intriguing.

Hello Morat. Thank you for your approval of “Aerial Surveillance” and the welcome 10. I must admit I had to try a couple of times before I got decent results. It was really a matter of finding a cooperative dragonfly.
Thanks for the kind words regarding Still Waters, they're much appreciated. Glad you liked it. I definately plan on returning to that site for more pics in different light.

Hi again. That barn fire was quite a few years earlier than the tanker, yet the composition is identical. I'd never looked at them together before this. Glad you liked them.
Thank you Morat. For your comments about “Spiritual Freedom”. Frankly I’m surprised it came out so well too. I’m pleased to say nothing was damaged but I was seeing yellow blobs for a few minutes. I’m will look out for your similar photo.
Hi Morat, you left a comment on my Barracks picture. I just looked through your gallery a bit. Wow! That you liked my picture is kinda amazing :-) cheers, Quiet
Thanks for visiting my gallery, I don't think many people do, and your comments are very welcome. My Africa pictures were a direct result of my recent move to Australia - I couldn't leave the country without visiting Kruger National Park, and I seem to have had one of the best trips ever! I love your gallery too, macros and closeups are my favourite and you have many superb examples. - cheers, kim
you can say that again Morat..... Flowers are ok, as long as they accompany an artistic theme. In my own view, I think Art is whatever floats your boat. To some it might be repelent, but to others, it is whatever the imagination conjours up. I am glad you posted it too, as without it, as i said before, life would be very boring.
Howdy from Arizona! Thank you for commenting at "Before Remotes". I see in your gallery you like macros - I do too but don't seem to take them as often as I'd like. I was checking if this old TV from my kid's (now in college) room still worked and was going to dust it - but thought I'd take a picture first. Thanks for noticing!
hi jonathan, the grand canyon is so big that one has no idea what to include. i guessed bits and pieces would have to do. thanks for the kind words. jen
** To all my dear friends, I will be missing from Caedes, from the 24th June...touring and vacationing!.....Will miss you all...but will have great 'goodies' for you when I return!!!**
Thanks Johnathan for your comments and support on my picture “Natures Camouflage” It was taken on one of my first trips to the butterfly house and still remains one of my favorites.

If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Thanks for your comments on “Nut Cracker” The squirrels were quite active on this day. I find a long lens a must in this park the squirrels are not that tame.
Thanks Johnathan for your comments on "As Far as the Eye Can See". I'm pleased you likr it and I'm sorry to have taken so long to thank you. I'm just starting to get a handle on my behind work.

It seems there are a lot of folks here from the UK. I found it a very beautiful country. I would love to see London again and some of the sites we didn't have time for. My husband did quite well driving on the left side of the road, but those round-abouts are too many! UK could use a few good E-W highways! LOL We stayed for a week quite near the Wales border and made day trips from that location. It was really quite an education.
