Hey guys,
I'm fairly new to Caedes and having looked around I can tell that most members obviously use special software to create such detailed and graphical images, whereas, at the moment I'm limited to the use of Paint and scanning my own drawings, so it would be really helpful if someone could give me a few examples of the software available for making those fabulous desktops that can be viewed on this site,
Thanks :)
P.S. All comments are greatly appreciated

thanx for your comment on "the process" and as for the programs i can suggest a free landscape creating software most people use called terragen http://www.planetside.co.uk/terragen/

Lol, some people think me weird too for having a snake as a pet, but hey! We all have different tastes, and I agree, they are fun, just not when they bite you (and I should know ;] )
Thanks for your flattering comments on my profile, I don't know about being an expert though! I'm glad you liked the inner series - I always thought they were a little weak (leastways, I never seemed to get a good c-index for them) so I never continued the series.
As for you, I am jealous of your drawing skills. I hope to see some more images.

Hi there, and thanks for your kind comment on "Just a soap bubble". It is a photo, of the reflections in a soap bubble. I wasn't completely happy with the way it came out, but I've not got anything nearly this good in later attempts, so I guess it must be OK. Thanks for your interest :-)
I want to thank you for your nice comments on my White Owl photo. I'm very glad that you liked it enough to take the time to vote and send me a comment. Sometimes these images just pop into my brain.

Hey PrettyFae, Thanks for your message about "Suffocation." I'm really glad you like it, although I can't take much credit for it- Photoshop did all of the work. I just had a look at your gallery- beautiful and amazing! How in the world did you dream-up your "Night Fantasy"? It's brilliant!!!
Hi there! Thanks so much for your wonderful comments on "For those who are without a Valentine..." I'm so glad you enjoyed it so much :o) Your comment was very appreciated.
There's an emptiness inside her and she'd do anything to fill it in. Though it's red blood bleeding from her now, it's more like cold blue ice in her heart. She feels like kicking out all the windows and setting fire to this life. She could change everything about her using colors bold and bright, but all the colors mix together...to grey. ~*DaveMatthewsBand*~
Hey PrettyFae- Thanks for checking out the snake photo, and for your kind words about it. You're really sweet! I like snakes, too. This one was really special- he let me take all the pictures I wanted, and kept smiling the whole time!!
Hey, thanks for your coment on Island Sunset. You're entirely correct that I was very lucky to have been in the right place to see this. In fact we almost missed it...my wife and I were indoors talking and didn't notice the sunset until it was almost too late.
Hello
Thanks for the nice comment on "Piece of wood", I appreciated it much :).
The picture was taken last summer on a walk in a forest. I was lucky to find this log and to see the pattern.
God give me the calmness to take the things, which I cannot change, the power to change the things, I should change, and the wisdom make a difference between the two.
Thank you so much for the compliments PrettyFae, on "Roses". Yes, I love cats. I have 3. :) They are all rescues. A black & white shorthaired American female named Domino and 2 all white twin brothers named Gus & Homer. Welcome to Caedes.
Thank you for enjoying my work. I'm so glad for the compliments. Much appreciated. Do you have cats? If so, how many and what are their names? Glad to share cat stories with a fellow cat lover. ;) Sarah
Thank you for you kind words for the " Cheetah " photo. We were very lucky to see this magnificent animal so close up, it just walked right past our car :)
HI there. Thanks for commenting on "Reflections in Steam" - and yes these were the real colors! Amazing what you can see naturally in nature isn't it. M
Hi and thanks for the comment on (Lakeside Splendor). I'm glad you enjoyed it. If you're looking for more sunsets than what you can find in my gallery there is actually a dedicated sunrise/sunset gallery under photography where you can find the best :)

I'm really pleased you liked "What the World Needs Now". Thank you.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Thank you for your comments on my posting Leaves in Sand. I agree with some people concerning the use of borders. You can see from my gallery that I do not use them exclusively. ...only when I think it will add to the image or present the image in a new form (to stimulate creativity in others). It's curious, that on the few occassions where I post an image with borders and the same image without borders ...that the ratings on the images without borders is usually poorer.

Thanks for the comment on Caedes Lavender. The reason I didn't like it too much was the icon got warped when I pinched it. Doesn't look as good as it should.
hmm just read your comment up near the top. I use Paint Shop Pro 7. As for being special, as far as I am aware it was part of the software bundle with the computer.
Thx you PrettyFae for your comments on Hidden Creatures, my other images are: Ocean Wilderness and Flirting UnderSea ,i'm glad you like them also :0))!!

Hello my Pretty! Tks so much for liking my swans, they are gorgeous creatures. I was so fortunate to get so close and if I hadn't been holding the camera, I would have attempted to pet it? LOL
You can see more in my gallery, but there are a few more to come yet.
