Hi again.Thankyou for the comments on "Old Pier".I am glad that you liked it.That one lost much clarity in the upload unfortunatly and I may try a redo of it.
Thank you for the nice words. The gelam, of course is from the sun. Hummm. I am wondering if this Quiett is the one that lives in Canada along with another member of Caedes? I love the name.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Quiet-Thank you for the perfect description of how I felt while I was composing this image(Bristlecone Pine Tree in the Clouds).
There are times that I have been know to cry as I attempted to work in and around the beauty that God has given all of us. When the tears come I know that I have found peacefulness inwardly and then I attempt to display it outwardly in my photographs.

Thank you for the very nice comments on "Tide Pool".These are some of my favorite kind of photos and it is nice to know that someone else enjoys them as you do.I shall post more.
QUITE;
I am so far behind in my correspondence. Please forgive the late posting to your comment.
Your comments mean a great deal to me. I am so very pleased that you took the time to visit my Bristlecone Pine tree in the Clouds image. This is the image that started such a fuss. First it was the challenge from Carl about the clouds covering thr tree, then came the wonderful poem for Romane. What an emotional roller coaster. It was fun while it lasted. Thank you for your comment.

Quiet, I'm very pleased you liked Diner Reflections. Rob Nevin's explanations (second set of comments) are almost 100% accurate. The actual diner is in Athens, Ohio where my middle son, Greg, goes to college. It was a cold day or I would have had those old tennis shoes and my cutoffs on! (Close on the coffee...actually it was strong English tea).
Hi again, Quiet..glad you liked Pemaquid 2. I really didn't "discover" Maine until last Fall. Loved it! We're going back in May, and I was actually thinking about Pemaquid on my drive home tonight. Our goal is to get there at dawn or shortly after and photograph the place in the morning light.
Quiet,
I am very late with my correspondence to you. Please forgive the delay. Your input is important to me so pleases don't feel that I have avoided you.
Thanks for all of the nice comments about The old Mill image. It is next to impossible to get to where this image was created due to washed out roads and rock slides. In many ways this is good, however the sad part is it is very difficult getting there to get a photograph. You have seen this building from anthing from fine art to an ad for butter. This is one of those photographs that you are required to have if you are a photographer in Colorado. This building is located near Marble Colorado. It was a saw mill at one time. That is about all that is known about it since all history of that old ghost town has been lost with time. The river that it sits above is the Crystal river,

Thank you Quiet for that comment on "Majestic". This one was taken a couple days later from the first. There is a nest nearby that I will get back to once the eggs have hatched. I don't want to disturb the area to much as they are very private birds and babies have a low survival rate.
A lot of great photos are taken by mistake, then found. Don't give up on a failure.

Quiet, I always consider it a honor to see a post by you. They arer indeed rare,at least for my images. Isn't this a wonderful tree in my Carl and Old Tree image? For the past 40+ years this type of enviorment has been our office. If we are unhappy or tire of the surroundings we just move to a new locaton. No lease or phone lines

Thanks for the nice comment on Gingerbread House. There are some really beautiful ones in this town, but I am very partial to this one as my mohter owned it many years ago. I will be trying to get pictures of some of the best, as the weather gets better.
Hello Quiet, What do you mean back to the tree, aren’t you going to help bb control this thing? He might have bitten off more than he can chew you know :-)
Thank you for your comments about “Memorable Guest” See you at the next virtual BBQ.
Quiet;
There is always room for ice cream. This was a fun set up. I sometimes feel that I get to formal with my still life's. This type of set-up helps me to have some fun. Nothing else to do because of the heavy snow falling. I am happy that you enjoyed my Carnation Ice Cream image. Thank you for your input.

Thank you Quiet for the nice comments on my Bumble Bee Blossom 3 photo. It's hard to get these little guys to stay still long enough to lock in the focus. I'm glad that you liked it.

Good morning, Quiet. Thanks for stopping by at "Vermont Farms" and leaving comments. VT is such a beautiful state, still with many open areas. My husband and I were just up there, too, this past weekend. There and over the line in Washington county, NY (where the Battenkill River is famous for the trout) Glad you enjoyed the barns, have a great day!
...and thank you also for your kind comment (and vote!) on "An gullan". Gulls can be a nuisance, but they are beautiful birds in the right environment :-)
Hello ????, thank you for your kind words.
Concerning "Wrong place, wrong time...", it was a set up.
I put in the Rhino afterwards. Funny though, I received only one question why I put this in the Computer gallery!
Hello, hope you will forgive me, but this message is pretty well canned and much the same for everyone who responded to my image “As The Seasons Change". I’m stuck in a very tight schedule at work and have been putting in as many as 35 hrs overtime each week for going on a month now. Even though this is a generic thank you, it doesn’t mean that I don’t appreciate each comment, it’s just that I have very limited time and not enough of it to respond individually. For all that asked particular questions, I will try to leave an answer at the end of this post. For those who left comments some time ago, please accept my apology for being so late in responding.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR CONTINUING SUPPORT OF MY IMAGES .IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.
Thanks for the comment on pampas grass - and also great eye, I was standing in it at the bottom of a ditch, it was an incredible moment locked in my memory, the wind was blowing and the sound of the grass swaying was mesmerizing, I even took a short QT video.
Thanks so much Quite, for viewing (Gentle Dew), and your nice comments, it was a wonderful morning indeed. You could even hear the dew dripping off the leaves, now i like that. Thanks again. Dwight.

Thanks Quiet, I was shooting with a 100-400 zoom with a Canon 10 D, which makes it a 160-640 zoom. This shot was taken with the lens at 200mm so effective focal length 320mm, f6.7, 1/1000th. I was on the Southern Peninsula Rescue Boat, which is a bit smaller that the yacht I was shooting (probably 22-25 ft). It was "quite" rough and I was bracing myself against the wheelhouse most of the time, but I've got used to moving with the boat and I wear a big towel aroung my neck to wipe off any spray.
The only time I have ever fallen off (with all my gear!!) was on a big boat, at anchor in a flat calm. Doesn't make much sense. All the gear now replaced - same lenses and a 20D.

Quiet,
Please forgive my late reply to your comment about my, Grand Canyon in Fog and Snow. Annie and I just returned from a 15 day ( which was supposed to last only ten days) photo trip. It was so beautiful that we just couldn't leave. How about taking a vacation and joining both of us where the temperature every morning was, 0 C and warmed to 20 C by mid afternoon. It is a hard life but someone has to do it. <smile>. Please frogive my short answer to our comment. (see above). I have had the worst laptop ever invented . I have fought it for the past five yeaes. Finally Annie got tired of my four letter words when I used it. For Fathers day she purchased a new dell for me. Hopefully I will have it loaded and ready for use on our next ext trip back to the same area for another two weeks. Leaving again on the 12 of July.

Hi there Quiet...thank you for your nice comments on Water Colors # 2....glad you enjoyed it...I have a few other water pics coming up so thought I'd take a page from your hubby's book and do a short series...each one is a little different, thus the title...tks again for dropping by.:Pat.
I'm so glad you liked my posts of wheat shocks. It's fascinating to see the tremendous effort the Amish put forth in their every day lives. In some ways I admire their way of life, in other ways I think they're nuts. =) Mindy
