Hi Stephen: Thanks for looking in at my cardinal! I was sooooo blessed/lucky that day...and have so many cardinal shots that Caedes might boot me off for over-saturation...:) I guess I'll have to pace myself..and list them one by one...over the next several months. :) You have a great gallery! Hi Steve - I am glad you enjoyed ...red sky at night. This is the first 4th of July I have spent at home in 4 years and I know first hand how much it really costs to be free. Happy 4th and be well - R

Hello Dear Caedes Friend, I will be away with business and ministry for a few weeks so I won't be available to respond to comments or leave any critiques. I will check in when I can but wanted to let you all know that I'm not ignoring you, just not available. Bless you, anne :-)

I'm glad you are aware of how tricky these photos can be especially when the crowd is around. I had a small gap away from the ribbon holding poles and timed the shot to get the airplane. I was lucky. Ted
Thanks for all your support and all the kind comments that you have left on my latest images. Im glad that you liked and I hope that you enjoy the ones to come.

Funny, the tree in "Contrast & Texture" was shot in the heat of the summer in Utah. It probably seems cold because the tree was dead. In a the midst of summer growth, it was quite a sight but really stood out against that sky. Thanks again for your thoughtful comments. anne :-)

Thank you Stephen for your comment on "Zurich Sunset". Re the crowded composition, you have a point but I meant to include other elements as well as the sunset itself. Maybe "Zurich Scene" would be a better title, but it is a sunset after all! Also, if I cropped it more, both the quality and clarity would substantially drop. Thanks once again for your valuable comment!
Sincerely,
Rokh
Hey THere!!! I am sooooooo happy you are back around! I have missed you a lot...I'm going to go take a look at your new posting now..Welcome back my friend!! Verena
Thanks Steve for dropping by to look at Albania with me. Glad you enjoyed it. Would love to take the signs away for you and my Photoshop skills are right up to it BUT they were there on the shore-line so best left I think. You know Wind-surfers and swimmers try to leave Albania across those 4 miles or so? Madness. Thanks Mate. TG
Click here to see WHITBY through the lens of Frank Meadow Sutcliffe! PS I have no commercial link but Sutcliffe's photographs are historical! and any photographer worth his salt should at least know the history of their subject. He is one of the reasons I consider myself lacking, by the way. TG
I am glad you enjoyed the Taliban Spring, Steve It's a shame that we cannot take time to really look for beauty out here...too many ways to die if you are not really focused on more mundane things like staying alive.

Hey Stephen...thanx so very much for commenting on my OVal Clover photo. I love the hills here right now, tons and tons of Crimson...so beautiful to look at. I'd love to just sit in the middle of the clover. Hope you are doing well...Verena
And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."
Hello Stephen....Many thanks for taking the time to view (HEADS UP)and for your comments,it is very much appreciated....It was a game of patience trying to get the picture that the owner and her daughter would be pleased with....For this shot the owner stood behind me and got the attention of the horses by rustling a paper bag....Thankyou again....All the very best to you Stephen.............Mick.
I added the following to the description... Creds to quickshot for knowing my work so well as to guess it in a general way, but J_E_F Got it exactly! To be specific, it is an AMD Athlon CPU circa 1998. The shot is composed of 40 photos focus stacked and covers an area of 5cm deep by 2cm wide.
People aren't going to remember the things you do. They're going to remember how you made people feel. Be kind, gracious, and appreciative. Dan Winters - Photographer.
