"Once you have heard the lark, known the swish of feet through hill-top grass and smelt the earth made ready for the seed, you are never again going to be fully happy about the cities and towns that man carries like a crippling weight upon his back."
- Gwyn Thomas
Thanks Sam for the comments on my Campfire 2 image. I took this image with a tripod and a longer exposure using the self timer shutter release feature.

Thank you so much for the compliment on "Lakeside Early." I really appreciate your comments and kind words, Sam. I tend to like hues of washed pastel and soft images, so I feel this is one of my luckiest captures to date. Thanks again... Steve
Hello Sam. I saw your lovely comment on Waters' End. I appreciate your encouragement. It keeps me (and I'm sure a lot of us, here ate Caedes) going. Thanks again.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Wow, Sam, you are really lucky to have started travelling as a student. I made my first visit after I finished my Bachelor's degree at college and have gone back repeatedly. Each time I see things with a slightly different perspective - and a camera really makes you hunt out the "uniqueness" of each setting! Travel is great! Regards. Miriam
Thank you so very very much for your lovely comment on my white rose and the poem I wrote for it....it means a lot to know people like yourself enjoy the postings..smile
Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
Thank you for your positive feedback on "classicisstic facade". I am glad you found it interesting and I really appreciate it. Soon I will upload a new interesting architecture shot. Stay tuned.
Hey Sam,
thanx a ton for the nice comment on "Asterias", it has been my desktop background for a couple of weeks now and wanted to share this. Glad you liked it!

Thank you Sam for watching my pics and leaving a comment on "Relaxing Pool Scenery", much appreciated. In Germany where I live (near Frankfurt) we had a fantastic fall with warm and sunny days. I was lying on my balcony last week and got sun tanned but now the first signs of winter seem to arrive. There is a cold wind blowing steadily and the sun is hidden behind the clouds. That's why I posted this image... I'm glad you liked it.
Hello - Thanks for your feedback of my "Tree Presence" - its quite a challenge to express the awesome tree size and the atmosphere it imparts - which I hoped this capture has expressed. All the best Amida
So glad you were among the few ones who responded to my mountain trail. Your words so nice and comforting. The photo was taken in Bieszczady Mountains, Poland. I have to admit the climbing was terrific. If you like such shots you should visit some of my oldies.
Thanks for thanking me for commenting your "Drinks All Around". And thanks for liking my "Frozen Church". And thanks for writing the very first comment on my "user information"-page. Now I guess you will always be my No. 1 :-)
Glad you took oportunity to visit my mountain shot. So happy to hear that you found it so appealing. The photo wasn't editied at all, cause it that was the time when I didn't even hear about photo editiors. That is why you nice comment gives me even more satisfaction. Thank you.
Thanks for the comment on my Gorilla Stare picture. I'm not sure what you mean by too small? I love having fun with my pictures... this was a fun one to shoot.
