Thank you, Simon, for your generous comments on "woodland ducks". I'm glad no one was around to witness my foolishness that day. I ended up scooting along the snow on my knees to avoid further breakthrough on the ice!
Thanks for the comment on "fallen in the rain" -- I have to admit that I nudged the flower just a little to get those indentations in the water, so I'm glad you noticed!

Thanks for the comment on "Just Resting" I think you are right about the shadow , it was late in the day and the shadows were dark and long, just trying out the light, I think next time I will change the exposure a bit. Check out "Just Resting 2" tell me if this isn't a bit better.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

Hello Si, Thank you for your comments about “Gidgit”. Yes it took a while to separate her from the background but it was a pleasurable task. I’m pleased you like the result.
Hello Simon ! B.J. and I appreciate your nice comment on the hepatica image - it is always very nice to find it - you know for sure that a more pleasant season is on it´s way ! Don´t know if you can see this flower in Cornwall. You are welcome to steal the idea with frameworks, Simon..lol...we are looking forwards to see them. Thanks for your comment.
Simon;
THank you for your suggedton about my Line Shack and Aspens. You wished to see the image without polarizer. You are looking at it. I had mentioned in the description the use of a polarizer would make the sky tunr almost black. That is the way it is at 11,000 feet.

Simon;
Thank you for answering my reply. Although the sky is very dark, most of the effect is caused by the human brain. As we have been trained to see a sky as blue, when we look at something that is not exactly as the brain knows it to be it will do an "automatic" color ( colour) correction. Film, however does not have that option and is therefore more honest with colors that surround us every day. Isn't it a wonderful that we can look at the "Real World' now and then and become overwhelmed by the beauty that we usually do not see? When you are at altitude and look skyward there is a noticeable difference in the deep rich color of the sky but only a film will record it at it's full beauty. I am so happy hat you have enjoyed my Aspen series. Thank you so very much for all of your nice words that make me humble in the presence of greater photographers that I will ever hope to be..

Hi Simon..thanks so much for taking the time to leave such a nice comment on ~reflections~. I love the idea of the abstract without the duck, but the ducks were everywhere (this is their season to make baby ducks :) & we just couldn't get away from them. I will try that when we go there again with different flowers. These were masses of red and yellow tulips along the banks of the small pond! Have a good weekend :~)
Hi, Simon, wanted to let you know I appreciate your comments on Capturing the Dawn. I tried yesterday to shoot the same scene without the photographer, but the dawn was too foggy, and the strong golden light never appeared.
Good morning Simon..thanks so much for visiting ~reflection pond~ I stepped out of my comfort zone (scary for me..lol) & went for something a bit different. This entire pond was lined with these beauties, it was quite a site to behold. I am glad that you enjoyed it and your comment is much appreciated :~)
Simon, I really appreciate your taking time to comment on Great Sand Dunes at Sunset. It is really a pleasure to share the experience of this landscape with so many others...Mike
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Hi, Simon. Thanks for commenting on "Favorite Toy." My pug "Koda" much prefers to play with all things in my house that he's not supposed to play with. Every room has several "dog toys" in them for his entertainment, but he wants to play with my glasses, my bottle of Tylenol, my shoes, etc. etc. etc....He's quite a character but he's only a year old...(I'm hoping he "matures" a bit. LOL!) Border Collie's are great dogs. Thanks for sharing. Nice to meet ya!

Thanks so much for your comment on Flame Marble.. I am juat learning to use Chaoscope.. It is much more fun than I thought it would be.. Much appreciated..
I've just returned from my hiking holiday in Cornwall, enjoyed it very much. It was very funny to walk "inside" your picture of St. Ives and see the place with my own eyes. Beatiful picture. Thank you for posting it. And great place with very friendly people.
Simon, please remember that I have been the mother of the virtual voting idea. LOL Seriously I am just about to lose my temper about all these idiotic changes following one another at a terrible speed here on Caedes which used to be such a nice quiet shelter from the hectic reality. Best regards.
Thank you very much for your generous comment on the "sunset". I really appreciate it. I am glad you liked it. I strongly encourage you to visit my other photos. Perhaps you'll find something of interest.
This sunset was one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. I passed by this place so many times so finally I had to stop some day to take the shot.
Many thanx go to you about the comment on my IndianHead Beach photo...yes the people give it some sense of size..and the fence seemed to feel right to me..thank you so much once more!!
Hi Simon - Thanks for visiting my "Columbian Range" - I have just posted another sky picture on the same journey. You might enjoy this one at Columbian Sky II Best

Hey What cheer Simon....appreciate your welcome comments to 'Stormy Rose'....I dont know who got 'soaked the worst'...me or the flower!.......I did not need to do a lot with it just a tweak on auto levels and some blur with a touch of H&S...Glad you like it....thanks.
Glad my ducks family caught your attention in the gallery. Thank you so much for your warm coment on this little group. I have to agree it is the green which makes the photo so appealing. You are always welcome to my gallery.
Hello Simon, many thanks for your compliments and thoughts about “Dispute Settled”. I avoided portrait style shots on Caedes for a long time. Of late I’ve discovered a certain challenge in trying to present them in a manner that is acceptable.
Thanks for the comment on "Ashley River" You should have seen that water in person -- some parts of the river were bright blue, but the inlets not too far away were black. It does tend to look a bit artificial (the water, I mean), but it was so saturated with minerals and the like that it reflected the color of the sky really well.
Hi Simon, on "A peaceful place," it's a very nice photo, but as a student in ecology and naturalist on the side something bothers me about this shot. My instincts tell me the grass is probably not native, and is likely to become invasive and very damaging to the local plants and animals if it starts to expand unchecked. You may want to keep an eye on it and if it's on your land, spray if it keeps expanding each year. Of course, I could be wrong, but it's probably worth checking into. Thanks for reading, Cheers.

Hello Simon....Thankyou for your kind comments on (LIGHTHOUSE)....I captured the image at the beginning of the week....Its so nice to go walking around that area but rather cold at this time of the year...Thanks again...All the best ..Mick.
Thanks for your great attitude towards commenting. I guess I feel safe with you (and have for a long time) but, I have a habit of pointing out my nitpicking for what it is nonetheless... ^_^ If I don't hear from you the nearest future, be sure to have a great New Years celebration and may your next year prove to be a good one! :)
thanks for the constructive crit on my image "summer reflections" this type of comment I like to hear more of because it helps and artist learn. I left a response on the image page here. Thanks again.
Hey Simon thanks for your interest in Pionts Of Light and your comment. My wife bought a glass ball at a yard sale it had blue blobs in the glass took it outside helded it up to the sun clicked a shot in super marco manipulation was in ps. Dwight.
The emotions, the tears, of wasted years, wash over me like a cold wind out of the north. I tremble and shake, with each breath i take, and there's no one around me that cares. Dwight.
Thanks for your feedback on my posting "Fergus 3". Glad it provided you with a playground to experiment a bit. It was done as a study so glad to see it's value continue.
thanks Simon for your comments on Cherry tree infinity :) I ran by there yesterday to take some photos, I've been waiting all week. I've got another that's closer to the trees I'll be posting later
Thanks for your comments on "Tieton River," I appreciate it. Actually I did paint the background on with crayons.....no I didn't I'm kidding. Thanks for looking mate.
Thanks for your observations on "Wreckless Abandon," Simon. I very much appreciate the different perspectives, especially the one which are favorable... :)

Howdy from Arizona! I see you have a lot of great bird and butterfly shots so thank you for your nice comment at "This Anna's a Male". For every one of these I get a lot of pix of the S end of N bound hummers! Maybe I'll post one here sometime. I have a couple others here you might also like - "Hummer on a Shell" and "Itchy or Scratchy" (it'll make sense when you see it!). Thank you again .....
Hi, just dropping in to say thank you for stopping by and checking out my work and for the comments. I really appreciate it very much. I just don’t have the time to say thank you to you every time that you do. I hope you understand. I’m sending everyone the same message, however this comes from the heart. Again thank you for your support.
Bee Blossom 2 is a tight crop of an off center image that I took during the Cherry Blossom Festival. This composition seems to work well and I appreciate your support. Thanks Simon for taking the time to view and comment on this image.

Whatever my Mystery Critter is, he looks interesting. I just wish I could have gotten a better photo before he flew away. Thanks Simon for viewing and commenting on this image.

Steve.

"The shade of the staircase" is not really a wallpaper, but the light in that castle was really interesting. Thanks for the feedback!
