Steb, thanks for the comment on "Piercing Qualities". I captured it using a Canon 100-400mmL IS lens mounted to the Canon EOS 20D body. I further enlarged it by cropping;-)
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Thanks once again, Steb. Silhouette was one of the few moments where i knew my picture was going to turn out almost exactly how i envisioned it. it was kind of inspired from a photo i saw once of a Concorde flying across the sky during a solar eclipse (now THAT was a masterful photo)
When I saw your gallery every picture was so good that I wanted to comment and vote on every single one! But instead of that...(because I don't have that kind of time on my hands)...I decided just to leave a note on your profile page!
Your pictures are all fabulous! They have the look of an experienced artist. You obviously have a wonderful gift for photography. I've not been talking pictures for very long...only a year or so...and I must say that I hope my gallery looks as good as yours someday!!!
Thank you for the comment on 'Silent Lamentations', I really appreciate it! No, it's not a conscience choice, didn't realize I did that until you mentioned it..lol! I don't know why that is...will have to think on it a bit! Thanks again!
Many thanks, Steb, for your feedback on my 'Toward the summit (2)'. The winter's light was just beautiful, coming from the side. That helped me for the snow... :-)
Hey Steb! Thanks so much for commenting on "Kimolos reworked", I really appreciate it. I love taking pictures of the islands here, the colours and the light are always so tempting. Thank you so much, have a great day
Maria
Hello Steb, thank you very much for your comment and the helpful tech tips on "Fall Impressions". I agree with you and will hopefully remeber using my flash next time when it comes to a similar lighting situation. Your constructive criticism is always welcome and highly appreciated.... Have a great time and stop by from time to time and watch my gallery.

Thanks for the comment on "Water in Motion" It actually didn't take me that long to take out the background-- I just increased the contrast and colored over the woman and her son who were standing in the background, then clone stamped the edges of the water to get rid of any smudges. I'm actually not that skilled with Photoshop, myself, so I'm sure there was a better and more high tech way to do things.
Agreed Steb, birds in flight are a challenge. I find the success rate low but the satisfaction high. Thanks for your comments about Aerial Supremacy. I really dont know why his mouth was open like that, maybe he was anticipating something to eat.
I took a picture of Gunnamatta Beach (or at least right next to it), and i would like to know what you think of it (seen as you have been there). If you get the time could you have a look. It's title is 'Gunnamatta Beach'
Thanks for having a look at 'Gunnamatta Beach'. The way the rugged coastline is captured is memorable. Other than that i guess it isn't too memorable. thanks again.
Hey Steb, I wanted to ask for your help on my new upload. Its called :" Heavenly Dreaming". I would love to see a comment from you, because there is so much to learn from you.... :D
Thank you Steb to taking the time to post a comment on my Mountain Stream 12 image. I'm glad that you had a chance to view this image. I not sure if it's tilted or not. The water on the right is falling straight down and the level of the water above seems flat. The rocky stream on the left is a higher elevation than the one on the right which may cause it to appear tilted. Who knows?

Thanks for your comments on "over the river"....yes,i was in a hurry...in after thought...i should have laid down on the ground and shot through the path,up the hill.
Thank you Steb, for your comment and advice on "The Sole Survivors". I was trying to find a way to artistically present that pile of trees, and it turned out to be a more difficult task than I first thought. I have a few more photos of the same scene from different angles, and I might upload them if I can make time to edit them. Thanks again!
Thanks for stopping by 'Parc Gell, Barcelona', I'm glad you liked it. Gaudi's works are truly amazing, hopefully Sagrada De Familia will be ready soon :P.
I'm from Augusta, but I've been to Camden a lot. My photo "Top of the Mountain" was in one of the 2006 Caedes calendars and is from Mount Battie, overlooking the town.
Hi Steb! Thanks for your comments on Holly. I am new to trying to alter photos. This was an attempt to use a few items. I tried to put a sepia effect to the outer areas of the photo. The one leaf added its own effect! Thanks for stopping by!
Hey Steb! I wanted to drop off and tell you that I've brought snow pics from Israel! I only uploaded one, but a series of them is coming. I'll be glad if you take a look.
Hi Steb. Its great to hear from you again. Thank you for your comments about Wollombi Kingfisher. Those kingfishers are even more beautiful when they fly. The sun catches their feathers so they twinkle like jewellery.
Thanks for the comment on Fireball Sunset. Can't say I noticed the horizon wasn't straight til you mentioned it so I'll work on that next time.
Cheers,
Chris.
Hi Steb! Many thanks for stopping by and checking out "Wakeboard Bob". I always enjoy knowing someone likes that photo. I appreciate your kind comments...Carolyn
Dragon Fly 5 is a capture of a little friend that posed for me. Thanks Steb for viewing and commenting on Flitter's photo. Shot with a Konica Minolta A200 in telephoto-macro mode, iso50 at f-11 with a fill flash. You have a stunning gallery of image. Wow!

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Thanks for all your support and all the kind comments that you have left on my latest images. Im glad that you liked and I hope that you enjoy the ones to come.
A canting keel? Well, shows to go ya how much I know about racing boats. I went back and looked at it again and now I see what you are talking about. Thorry about that. So, you took it from the doorway of a helicopter without a door? Let me think that one over for awhile....(walks off scratching her head).
Pat
Hey Steb, my gratitude for your encouraging comment on 'Illuminated Summer'. Your admiration for the beauty of the flowers comforts me greatly. Thanks again, for taking some time out to comment. Ashley
Hi Steb

Thank you so much for those nice words about Sea of flowers. Just today I saw, that this image was archived and I felt bad about it - your words helped a lot.

Old Speed is truly a hard shot to get. I try not to zoom to much so I get better resolution, so getting the airplane leaving was the best I could do. No I send many of my photos to Highgallery.com where he has many of my works.
Thank for your feedback Step on A bite of lunch (Cedar Waxwing). On second (third, fourth!!) glance I think it is all the tree branches and berries that take away from this. The light is not flash. That is direct morning sunlight .... I did not mind it at the time as I was hand holding a 400mm!! What do you think of this one.

Thanks Steb for the comments you left for "House in the Woods". I'm glad the shot came out as it did. I also love your work with objects in motion especially all the sailing images.
