Wow, people, heres someone who can give reviews which really help, with respect to your comment on my clear day image, i dont really find the same effect, as opposed to green i see just a bit too much yellows, this is probably due to uncorrect monitor calibration, i know mine isnt perfect, thanks for the advice tho
oh, and post more of the pictures from your site, some of them are fantastic
Hey...thanks for your nice comment on "Blue Mooring". I am glad that you did like it even though it could use some messing around with. Thanks so much for your time in visiting my image. I so appreciate it. Come back again...ya hear!!
Oh yes, Death by chocolate , whadda way to go! Thanks for stopping by to take a peak and also for the advice. I'm new to Photoshop, but, I'll give it a go. :)
Hi Chip, welcome to Caedes and thanks for your comments on Robin 3. I know what you mean about the lighting but thinking back there wasn't anything close apart from a wall. It was late on in an overcast but very cold day, so it could just be the sun through the clouds.
Hello Chip! Thanks so much for your kind words on ONe Foggy Day..., I am very pleased you enjoyed it and found it professional looking. Yes, I really am 14. :)
Hello Chip,
I just noticed we have new serious competition with you on board!
But you are very welcome,I already found some inspiring works in your gallery. I look forward for new works to come for your hands.
Concerning your question, I do not always shoot RAW format. But I do when I want to make a photo that needs processings afterwards, like those foggy mill photo's. Lately I use Rawshooter from Corel to process them. It works pretty good. You can download a trial version if you like to try it. What do you use for processing RAW images?
Nice hearing from you,
Paul
Hi Chip, nice to hear from you again...thanks for your time and nice comments on my new image (Purple Haze). I am so glad that you liked it :) Come back again anytime....
Ephesians 2: 8 & 9, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Why did Jesus have to die on the cross if all it took was good works to get to heaven? And if you had to earn salvation it wouldn't be a gift, it would be a wage. And if you had to be good enough to get saved then how do you know when your there?
Glad you liked the "Glass Dragon"...never really realized the wings were shaped like rocket ships; didn't really think about that one...I guess they do! :)
Hey Chip, thanks for the visit to "Summer Breeze". I am glad that you find you like this image. I too wish I were there now. Man o Man, with a cold drink in one hand and the sun beating down on me with the breeze blowing against my face...*SIGH* thanks so much for all your support. Means alot.
I can't believe you recognize the track in my "Waiting" photo! What are the odds of that? I thought it was out in the middle of nowhere, but I guess that nothing on the California coast is the middle of nowhere, eh?
Hi Chip. I thank you very much for checking out "Tea glory" and keeping me a bit of your wizdom in that. I will try the advice you have given me when I go out for my next shoot. I can take few shots with different settings and compare. Thank you very much.
Hi Chip,
Thanks for the nice comment about "Grand Canyon Sunset." That photo and "Another Storm Passing" were taken from the same spot. I'm glad we could both be there to get photos of this fantastic place.
Olie
Your nice words you were so kind to leave me on "I am blue" brought me so much pleasure. The title refers not the condition of my mind but more to the omnipresent colour - blue which made the scenery simple and so impressive at the same time. But I have to admit I am already fed up with winter time.
Hi Chip, thanks for your comment on pearl!
I also think it would be better with a different background but i decided to upload it anyways.
and yes, it's shoot inside my house because its too cold for the banana outside now :(
greets
Hi there Chip! I want to let you know how much I appreciate the gracious comment you left for 'Shrouded In A Veil Of White'...I'm so pleased you like it and I'm honored you put it into your favorites...thank you bunches!
Cindy :)
Thanks for commenting on golden sunset. i agree with the comment about it being good practice in going to the same location and looking for different subjects to shoot. i find its quite abit easier in the winter, because the exact same spot can look entirely different the next week ;). i didnt even realize the shot was 1/4s until on the computer, the 10mm lens makes it really easy handhold, i believe this was iso 200, f/22 with a polarizer. have a great day!
Thank you for your comments about “Just Cruising” Chip. I appreciate the laugh about the killer Pelican. You know he probably just wanted to join you for lunch :-)
Hi Chip! Hello! I so much appreciate the kind words you left for 'Sign Of The Covenant'...thank you very much and I'm delighted you like it and grateful for your time!
My water reflections usually turn out really, really, really bad....so I polish them up a bit!
Cindy :)
Good Morning Chip! Thanks bunches for the really great comment you left for 'So Sleeps The Quiet Snow', I'm most grateful! And thanks big time for taking time out to view and comment, I really appreciate that!
Thanks again!
Cindy
thanks for commenting on my images, about 'where does the wind come from?' i agree with you about the cropping, the composition is really quite weak, it just has some interesting elements, and i probably would have cropped it to about a 2:3 aspect ratio if this werent a (&^% wallpaper site and only accept 3:4, and im getting sick of having boarders on all my pictures, but i agree with you, thanks for commenting
Thank you Chip for the kind remarks and suggestions on my image the legends 1951 Chevy truck. I usually carry a good set of filters with me but i was out more for sunset on this day, darn I was lucky I had one of my larger flashes with me. I really was not expecting this truck to come a long. But it did. So I took the time to capture it. So I made the resolution to do what I use to do and carry a good assortment of filters other then a few graduate filtres and a polarizer and a good size flash from now on.
I'm one of those people that like looking at photographs/art etc, I don't create it. It's something I've learned to live with. I'm currently studying human bio right now, so the human body is my main passion. Being a science major has given me the power of... well... just observation.
RE: My alligator picture {Thanks for visiting, Chip!!!!!!}
Actually......this was one shot I took that was a bit reckless....:) I was on a small ledge, at very edge of water...one foot up on a leaning tree....so that I could get up and over a bit more. The thing is...it was the babies I was trying to get practically on top of to get close ups. She was farther away when I began. I think I sensed her before she loomed up...and I was torn between wetting my pants out of surprise...or continue to snap away...and I took maybe 5 shots and slowly but swiftly, moved away. I wasn't really scared...but surprised----ok...maybe just a little scared....:)
Hello Chip. Thank you for your comments about “Rainbow Sailor”. I was more than happy with the way that photo was going then… the birds flew by, that really was unexpected.
Hey there Chip! I want to thank you bunches for the kind words you gave for 'Happy Easter!', I'm so happy you enjoyed it and I hope that you had a great Easter!
Cindy :)
Dear Chip,
Thank you so much for your sympathy and kind words on 'azalea for Terri'. I am really getting better very fast now - mostly because I cannot afford being unwell too long as the dog [Boris] demands his DUE walks in a regal manner LOL
Chip, I have the little brother of your macro lens. I like it quite a bit, but it isn't perfect. I am curious to know what makes the enormous price jump worth the lens you have in a non-quantified sense. Could you help me out?
You are right my friend, I am more and more convinced we don't need sophisticated cameras to take good shots. Glad you liked my dreamy crocus taken with a simple camera. There is one thing I love my camera for - the flip-out and twist LCD. I can compose my image without the need to lie down on the ground.
Thank you so much Chip, you have many many times brought me a smile by your kind comments and your caring way. This time I was touched with your nice words to "pink" flower. I suddenly found out that flowers with their abundant springtime variety make a wonderful topic for a photo.
This is whom I call a careful observer! How did you know that! Yes, the sunset capture "red hot disk" was taken in the same place as "I am blue". I pass by Zegrzynski Water Reservoir every time I go to my parents cottage. Often trying to take something interesting. This evening when I was struggling with my camera to get a decent sunset photo there was a serious accident - the car fell into water and soon the traffic was stopped, medical forces and fire brigade have arrived to rescue people. It was the first time I saw a medical chopper landing on the bridge.
Hay Chip. Seems u have liked "Early woking bird" and thank you for that. Work at these kind of Rubber estates are hectic and some times an un healthy task. Just like Rubber they try to streach there life by making it.
Yes, it was love at first sight. The "muskrat" seemed so gentle and his fur was so soft... Besides he was a vegetarian... But soon it became obvious we would face a conflict of characters, lol. There was no future in this relationship I am afraid.
seriously Chip: What a poem, I am impressed! It was so nice to read it. You were right by the way - I am testing my new camera and the teleconverter (Konica Minolta Dimage A200). And I am testing my green outfit, which made it possible to come very close without being noticed. It was a real eye-pleasure to observe the critter.
Hello Chip, Thank you so very much for the comments and advice on the picture. It was very helpful...I am an amateur with all this stuff so the more people give constructive criticism the better it... will come in handy for later works. Thanks a bunch :)

I am so proud to have deserved your kind attention paid to Dunajec castle. The place is exceptionally picturesque and depending on weather conditions it evokes different feelings. I wish I captured some frogs or bunnies for ya. I suppose it may be a reason to come back…perhaps next time.
ya i agree about the benefits of doing most of your work prior to the raw conversion. i use nikon capture for just about all my colour work. i then use PS for cropping, cloning, layer or whatever is required. i was just curious about your orange image because it seems so surreal, its hard to believe little to no 'area specific' work was done.

'Christian of Caedes'
“Praise the light of late November,
the thin sunlight that goes deep in the bones.
Praise the crows chattering in the oak trees;
though they are clothed in night, they do not
despair. Praise what little there's left:
the small boats of milkweed pods, husks, hulls,
shells, the architecture of trees. Praise the meadow
of dried weeds: yarrow, goldenrod, chicory,
the remains of summer. Praise the blue sky
that hasn't cracked yet. Praise the sun slipping down
behind the beechnuts, praise the quilt of leaves
that covers the grass: Scarlet Oak, Sweet Gum,
Sugar Maple. Though darkness gathers, praise our crazy
fallen world; it's all we have, and it's never enough.”
- by Barbara Crooker -
Thank you for your heartwarming words of friendship and positive reinforcement of my efforts at "November impressions II", Chip. I am looking forward to your next visit.
Hi Chip, once again I find myself extraordinarily behind on “thankyous” so I'm sending out a single giant hug for all the kind words you have left on my “green metallic fly”. Our model is delighted with its unexpected but immense popularity and promises not to disturb fans during warm and lazy sunny afternoons next summer…
Hey there Mister Madman, wat'cha know that I don't know
Tell me some crazy stories, let me know who runs this show
Glassy-eyed and laughing, he turns and walks away
Tell me what made you that way
G'day Chip,
Just had a browse thru your gallery. You have a fantastic eye and a nice tweak to your imagination. Love the clarity in your images and the diversity of approaches you've taken.
Mikel.
Chip,
Thks for stopping in at "Window Through The Cypress". This has become one of my favorite postings. I hope I can find this particular spot in the spring and shoot it again.
Pat
Thank you for your kind comments about “Flying High” Chip. I was I little dismayed when I saw those clouds because I knew they would pull the shutter speed down. If memory serves me right the shutter was about 1600 so I didn’t need to worry.
I love photographing those guys but sometimes it’s nice to forget the camera and just watch them with my mouth open like everyone else :-)
Hi CHip....I just had to tell you how happy I was to see your new posting!! It's absolutely brilliant in more ways than one!!
I wish you'd post more photos, I really enjoy your skills. V
oh, and post more of the pictures from your site, some of them are fantastic
