Hi Susie, thanks for faving and commenting on "Ice Falls". Very much appreciated and glad you liked it. The temperatures have to fall well into the cold range and stay there for several days. About the time I shot these it was anywhere from -5 to -20 (or so) Celsius.

As for the cold temperatures, you get used to it. It's not too bad as long as there is little or no wind blowing. The day I took the waterfall shots it was about -3 to -5 C and no wind down in the gully of the stream. So it felt quite warm to the point I left my jacket open so I wouldn't overheat.
