You know, after Katrina another sad thing is that many old people - our grandparents and parents, aunts and uncles are dying rather than face the task of rebuilding their lives. The fellow who owned that house that I shot is in his 70's and I can tell from talking to him that he's ready for the grave. I love some of these people, and it's really hard to keep dragging them up when they're down.

As to my low Karma, I think the number has more to do with how many interactions you have with other members through comments as it does with how many posts you might have. I guess if I would want to increase that number I will need to be more outgoing. But hey it is Spring in the Northland and the time to enjoy the great outdoors is at hand so........

Thanks for your comments on the magic forrest. I understand what you mean about the large branches, but I was trying for a ghosted tree effect giving the impression of old like springing to new. In the end I am glad you liked it in part. I have never been one to form into convention, and I think going on some of my past work, this is quite normal.....lol.

hi there and thanks for your comments on lest we forget. the writing is a strong part of this piece and it is a lot smoother than it was before. I myself don't think it ditracts from the piece and although it may not enhance the peice, I still think it is needed. I am trying to get the writing a little smoother, if only for my own satisfaction. I am as my wife describes me as " A Hopeless perfectionist who will probably not be satisfied with the possitioning of my own coffin.
