On a Night...Such as This...Take the pen tool, make a "puddle" of some solid bright (or dark) color, noodle with the gaussian or motion blur, lessen the opacity, then "stretch" the effect across the desired place...simple...Thanks for stopping by...

Thanks for the comment on spring in the southwest. Yes it is one material in Vue on one terrain. The same material in Desolate Shore actually so it is a very very versatile material for southern desert scenes.

Hi Tootles. You are so correct about that white line on the left side of "Pathfinders." Surprisingly, it did not show up in PhotoShop when I was working on the picture. I only noticed it when I downloaded it from Caedes. I have since corrected my personal file copy but did not know if I should repost or not.

Thank you for your comments on Into the Old Forest! I won't tell you how much extra work went into it because of my lack of experience and control in Vue, except that the final picture contains multiple renders ...
But I chose Vue when I was thinking of getting into 3D work, because a lot of the pictures I saw and liked most seemed to be from Vue. Not very scientific, I know!

Hi Tootles, thank you for your comments on "The Egg Man." I worked on those eyes. I created the original picture, then saved a fractal version of it. Then I took the eyes from the original and blended them into the fractal version. I added the water wave to the fractal version, re-cropped it, played with the colors and lighting, and presto, "The Egg Man." Glad you liked it ~~ John

Devil's Hole in the Lost Sea Cave Tootles it's big claim to fame it's America's largest underground lake. You take a 3/4 mile cave walking tour complete with a boat trip around the low lit lake stocked with trout the tour guide tosses fish food into the water and the big trout come alongside the boat and gobble it down. It's no great shakes but OK.....The more I look at this picture the stranger it becomes with an optical illusion to the eye, To tell the truth I only took cursory glance before I uploaded it from my visit to Lost Sea, Sweetwater Tennessee last month.
