Hi Justin. Thanks for the comment on my "Slim" photo. Those caterpillars were really beautiful, and I had no idea they cause such havoc in Canada. When I saw them though, the branches were literally coated with the seething mass of bodies. It was rather, um, icky, for wont of a better word. As I pushed my way through the undergrowth and swamp, these beasties along with spiders and dew from the trees kept falling on me. It didn't take much effort to photograph them. All I really had to do was stop swatting flies long enough to point my camera at a branch six or so inches from my face, and there it was.
Thanks for the kind comments on the McCloud Falls - Lower photo. This fall is right next to the camp ground overlook, the photo was taken about 7:45 AM on 02/11/06. The shot of the middle falls was about 45 minutes later. There was scattered overcast so no direct sunlight on the water, both of these shots were exposed for about 13-15 seconds using a 4x ND filter. Thanks again.
An interesting comment you left on my image New Hampshire Calm. (by the way, you might also like my posting New Hampshire Calm Base ..same image, no border).
This picture was taken at a family property in New Hampshire. You wrote "So calm and peaceful. Makes me want to go outside early in the morning and just sit there, not having a care in the world." This is EXACTLY what we do at this spot. We walk down from the cabin first thing in the morning, while the lake is still like glass and watch the mist abate while sipping a coffee. Wonderful. Glad you recognized the moment in the shot.
Hi Justin...nice to meet you and thanks so much for dropping by to view A Picturesque Picnic Revised...glad you liked it...a former member and friend helped make it look its' best...I appreciate your visit.:Pat.
Hello Justin. Welcome to Caedes.
Thank you so much for all those wonderful comments you left at my gallery. Anyone who spends that much time there is indeed a friend. One thing that stands out is that each and every comment you left is meaningful, thoughtful and well worth reading. So thank you for entertaining me too :-)
You mentioned the angle I used at “Sumersby Falls”. I had to compose the shot so it didn’t include the bus load a tourists line up in front of the falls :-)
Thanks again Justin, all those comments are much appreciated.
Thanks for your comment on "Two Bees." I think it would look better with more of the flower also. Except... the flower really was huge. It was this thing on a bananna plant that I have never seen before... the plants in the back yard were just doing there own thing and I look back there and its like blooming... I didn't know they even did that. lol
lots of the rock of there looks similar to this and the wetter it is the more you can see. thanks for letting me know you like it. your comments are important to me.

Thanks for stopping by "On Final in Red Rock Country". Tried to 'Neat Image' it but majority of the 'fuzzyness' is probably due to vibration. It's film taken out the side window while just starting a banking descent to the runway. What's wrong w/the '70s anyway? (you show the same age as my kid!)
Thanks Justin for your kind comments on "I Spy". I like using shallow depth of field when I want people to focus on just one or two elements in an image. I find it less distracting that way. Thanks again.
Thanks Justin for your great feedback on St. Marys.. I really appreciate it... that image was the very first night shot I did, one of the first serious photos I took instead of just snapshots, at the time I hadn't even heard of photoshop.. hence all the faults in it.. =D
"What other reason could there be to get up in the morning except to set ourselves free."
If my comment on your work ever seems to criticise, it does not. It is always so that we may learn together.
Thank you Justin, for my Glasgow image...Yes in hindsight, I wish I had made it bigger too!
I had a 'memory lapse' and typed in the wrong re-size,. I still feel foolish.. because I deleted the original, and when trying to make this bigger, it becomes pixilated!
Thank you for your interest......Bob
Hey Justin ... thanks for your comments on my posting "silly fellow".
You wrote: "Fantastic image. Great color balance, framing of the object, and lighting/shadows. The border/matte is prominant yet tasteful. I like how you used the base image as the matte. That really sets this capture apart. Had just a plain color been used the image would have been overrun with border, but this is nicely done. Great job!"
High praise indeed. So pleased that you liked it and took the time for such a great commentary. Thank you sincerely,
Hello Justin. Many thanks for your comments about “Wollombi Kingfisher”, especially the bit about the border. I did two versions, one with and one without the border and thought the border version was better. How right you are about the colours in the bird matching the background, I hadn’t noticed until you mentioned it :-)
Hi Justin,
I appreciate your comments on my pic 'On A Clear Day'. I hadn't noticed the little bits of glare at the bottom before. It wasn't taken through a window. I guess the glare came from my zoom lens. I took the pic at the same time and from the same place as my pic 'Private View of Mt. Cook NZ' but I zoomed in about 15x or so. That's the first time I've seen that.

Thanks Justin for your comments on "Mighty Cold". I'm pleased you like my little breath on the lens trick.
Also, I appreciate your comments on "All Backed Up".
Hey Justin: Thanks for the praise on "Wenatchee River Surprise". The colors were absolutely gorgeous that day. Unfortunately, the very next summer there was a forest fire that raged through the area and that place is no more. Well at least all the beautiful vegetation is gone. I'm just glad I got the image before the fire. Maybe I should go back for an "after" shot.
Hello Justin. Thank you for your comments and gentle critique about “A New Day at Toronto Bay”. They are appreciated. You might be right about the position of the boat.
Thanks for your comments and support on my latest image "Snow Canyon" series. As always, I appreciate that you took time to leave your valuable feedback.
Thanks for your comments on my "Zions National Park." I just don't know how I could have gotten a more detailed image of that highest peak. This is actually how it looked socked in with the snow. Any suggestions?
Thank you Justin for those wonderful comments you left at “Curiosity”. You should have seen him through the viewfinder, that was a worry, he looked about ten feet tall :-)
PS: I just got your comments about “Backyard Beastie”, thank you for them too. I’m pleased you like him too.
Thanks for your feedback on my "Unique Cactus." I appreciate that you commented that it should have gotten a higher mark. I've noticed that there are times where the subject is not as popular that they get lower marks. Win a few, lose a few. Let's just hope we have more wins. : )
And one more time, thanks so much for your kind words on my "Snow Canyon View 2." But there is not much you can do the day after a storm, those clouds just won't cooperate. : )
