I hear ya. I actually thought about puttin a spotlight on "Guiding Light", but being somewhat familiar with light houses, they don't usually "Light the light", till it gets near dark. Least in the "Old days". :-)

Hey Wendy, my friend......your lovely words on "feast of colors" overwhelms me with pride!... Small Tortoiseshell butterflies are pretty common in Poland. They are mainly orange and brown on the top with dark camouflaged underwings at the same time. There are patches of colour along the front edge of the forewing which are dark brown, pale yellow and white. There are also blue marks along the border of the other edges.
I am glad you found this speciman so appealing.
