Both images you have posted are excellent! Of course, when it comes to personal preference, I like Misty Mountains best ~ understandable since I live in the midst of some misty mountains here in Montana. =)
Welcome to the site alzco. I like your photos, particularly 'Misty Mountains'( give me a special feeling, I just love this style of atmosphere^^) . Hope your enjoy your time here and that you will continue to share your photos with us^^
I wish I had more money to travel. I also wish I had my digital camera when I was at Niagra Falls 2 years ago in winter. I have some pics but need to scan them in, see if they're any use.
How do I get karma?? Can I complain about myself???
At your work???? Are you a fountain's cleaner? Hooo, it's a secret!
I think you are 007 and working for her Majesty ;-)
I've visited your website: It's interesting, but I know: it's only a cover!!!

Hi Al. Nice to meet you, and thanks for dropping in on "God's Anvil." I'd almost forgotten that I had that up on Caedes. It's been a while since anyone commented on it. Good of you to do so, and remind me that someone likes it :-)
By the way, your barge-lift series is genius. It took me about ten minutes to figure out how it works, but once I did I sent it off to my fiancee who works at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. They have to see this. By the way when I saw it I thought it was a manipulation placing an image of an electric toy over a photo of a canal. Awesome!
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Thank you for your nice comment about the peacefulness of my Simple country scene. I love how you call yourself a professional amateur!! THat sounds like me too! Thanx again!!

Hello again Al,
I am flattered that you took the time to view two of my images. I am thrilled that you have enjoyed them. This, "Garden of the Gods" image is important to me because it demostrates how a very large city ( Colorada Sprins) and a wilderness can co-exist without doing any damage to each other..
