Howdy from Arizona! Thank you for finding and then leaving your comment at "This Anna's a Male!". Actually, this was taken at just 1/125th and f3 from about 3 1/2 feet. If you wait until they 'hover', then the only things moving are their wings. If you like this one, there are several more hummingbirds in my gallery! Thanks Amy - and welcome to Caedes!

My 'puter crashed the other day so I'm trying to get my new one up and running. ;-( This new OS (Vista) is going to take some getting used to. Sorry I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to. ;-)

Thanks for your comment on Desolation Wilderness! The area is amazing and I've only been there once but would love to go back. I haven't heard of May Lake though. On my trip, we started at Echo lake, went past Aloha, stayed at Gilmore, over Dick's Pass, stayed at Dick's Lake, and then left from the Bayview trailhead. Great trip!
