Hello, thankyou for commenting on 'Frostbite' im really pleased u liked it. Ive been waiting for someone to comment on that for months! You made my day!
Thanks Auline for your post on my Lioness shot. Glad you liked it and there'll be lots more animal based photography to come from my little asian tour :-)
The contrast of an image is not a set point, the brightness is also not a set factor. I am getting good at adjusting both in my photos, it takes a little practice, and a lot of patience. But to achieve a good mix of contrast/brightness and the gama settings is not as easy as it looks! Take a look at ny images and you can experiment on them, like my photo, it was altered to be brighter, and the pic Just a big hill was made darker. It is up to you on how to do it. But you will need a good photo editor to do this.
Auline;
Thank you for your very kind words about my Buddhist Teemple image. You make me very proud knowing that you selected it as your desktop.

Hi Auline, and thanks for your lovely comments on my robin pictures. Shots like "Feathered friend" don't come along too often, but if I do get any more I'll be sure to upload them here :-)
Thank you for your kind comments about Cascading Flower:-) I am so glad that you like it! There will be more pics from this side of the world for sure!!

Thanks Auline for viewing and commenting on my Pansy 2 photo. Pansies are one of my favorites to photograph because of all the little faces. I'm glad that you like this photo.

Hi Auline. I read your response to my comment about Fountain Abbey. Isn't it maddening when you have a good shot, but the logistics of the place won't let you turn it into the perfect something that you know it could be? Ahhh for a better zoom lense!
Hi Auline! I´m very glad you found an orchid you liked in this series. Unfortunately they are too expensive to buy all. A desktop wallpaper is also a way to enjoy them...Thanks for your comment!
No problem. I like all of your works! But your son is competition to you, I must admit! If he would get an account he would get the highest ratings from me and my friends! I thing Angel has a few words that would convince you to get him an account! Have you seen my works? They are a few of my presentable pictures, but I have about 6,000 pictures on my portable pc.
Auline, thanks for your comments on "Winter Wonderland". It is a very quiet place that time of year. If one returns in the spring there is a riot of life. Thanks again.
The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass.

Hi Auline, thank you so much for your commenting on "A Wooden Crossing". Yes Auline, this is a cemetery and a rather grim subject for some, but I saw all the right conditions present for what I thought might produce a good photo, so took my chances, had a lot of fun! Please stop by for another visit! Sincerely, Marilyn
Haaa! Venice is one of the most beautiful cities! I was lucky to visit it with my parents when I was young. We liked to lose ourselves in the small streets between two channels...
Thanks Auline :-)
Hi Auline, it was so nice of you to leave such nice words on my doorstep! Thank you for liking "Precious Posies". I really appreciate it! Sincerely, Marilyn

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

I do not understand how I get so far behind with my correspondence but I do. I want to tell you that your visit and kind words about Romane's and my Bristlecone Pine and Poem meant a lot to me. This was a very unusual experience that will probably be a once in a lifetime happening. I am happy that you were there to share the experience.
