Hi Booger. Welcome to Caedes, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. Photos of the humid, swampy south are quite popular here, since the lush green is unusual for most of the visitors. Thanks for leaving such a nice comment about Time Out. It looks like you and I are from the same area - the gulf coast. I visited your website and I like the photos of your house :-)

Howdy, howdy! I noticed you visited Waters' End. So you've fished Lake Maurepas? It is a lovely place, isn't it? I've always been intrigued by the lake from my early days of riding in my parents' car up old Highway 51 (the old one through the marsh, remember?), and its connection to the history of Louisiana is fascinating.

Last weekend my wife and I drove all the way around Lake Ponchartrain, and in the process got out on Lake Maurepas for some photography, bless her heart. The sunset that day was magical, and we sat there buried in the freezing temperatures and the ambiance of the moment.

Ahhhh! Fontainbleau. We also used to camp there when i was a kid. Strangely when I returned as an adult it all looked different with a few exceptions. Small things like a gully here and a cliff there, and of course the dam (or should I say - the darn), but it's still beautiful when winter closes down the sky and the ice starts clinking against the gunwales of your boat as you paddle through the fog. Yes, you'd still like it.
