Kia Ora Joe, you comment on Peacock is much appreciated. The image was not cropped - that was the whole pic. Trying to get a good angle was difficult as he was in an enclosure and I had to poke the camera through some netting. My first thought was to bin it and then I decided it was perhaps worth keeping. I do not know whther the considerable time I spent trying to remove some of the shaddows was worth it. If only he had opened his tail it may have been a different shot altogether. :)
I know what you mean about avoiding sunrise / sunset photos. I’m glad you stopped at “A New Day at Toronto Bay” though for the same reason I’m glad I took it. Thank you Joe, you write a decent review :-)
Kia Ora Joe, Thankyou for commenting on Car at Crdrona. I was a pity I posted the wrong version of the picture. I was about to delete it but a few people have commented favourably so will leave it there a while. It was cropped from a 2MP photo which originally had a large expanse of road in the foreground, hence the low resulution.
Thanks for taking the time to comment on my picture “Spotted Orange” The bright color and unique markings said photograph me. I'm looking to buy a ring flash for this kind of work.
Millions of grateful thanks for checking out Between Me, You and the Lamppost . I appreciate the feedback as I'm new to photography and all the help and comments I can get are VERY welcome!! Thanks again for checking it out and being honest..it means a lot to me!!
Kia Ora Joe, thanks for your great comment on Fowl Play. I tried to get it to pose for a portrait but it wasnt having any. I think there is a portrait setting on my new camera but have not figured out the ins and outs yet - I am strictly a point and shoot person, although have found the 'close up' button. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.
Kia Ora again Joe, No I have not been raiding the florist shops :) - but you were right with Peachy Pair as they were part of a Mothers Day Bouquet, as was the chrysanthemum on my Blaze of Autumn. All of my other flower shots are from my own or a friend's garden. I really prefer the less than perfect ones, for instance Sexy Rexy is at the end of his life for this season and he is a bit battered and worn but it still seemed to make a more interesting picture than some of the more perfect blooms. I was quite pleased they way the colour of these roses turned out.
Thank you so much for your comment.
Thanks for commenting on the Queen. I took this from a bridge overpass at a great distance from the ship having hopped out of the car for the snap while my husband inched forward in the traffic generated by the docking event. I don't think I took as much care as I could have witht he pressure of dashing back to the car.
Thanks Joe for the kind words on my picture “Junk Food” I finally made it back to the park this week and got some new pictures of these guys in action.
Thank you for commenting on "City on a Hill". The city is actually surrounded by other hills, but the shot was from the top of a building which I had to climb a great many stairs to get to from the outside.
Thanks Joe! You REALLY nailed it on the head with your comment on my Nightmare/Dream {Tooscared to run} entry!! I had a big smile....and it feels nice that you
understood exactly what I was trying to present. Best Wishes! Terri
Now that I look at those greens in Filled with Pink, Joe, they faded when I recolored it - perhaps I could bring in the original photo again and create a new layer, exposing the brighter greens? hmm, worth a try, eh? Thanks for the comments; they're appreciated! - Patty
Joe,
Thks for stopping by “Place of Dreams”. This is an old slide that I restored using photo shop. It was taken some 20 years ago somewhere in Texas by a stream. I blurred it up a little for the contest. Doubt that it will win anything but I like it.
Pat
Hi Joe! THanks for the critique regarding the bokeh on "For Mary and Rex". I never really payed much attention...your right it is rather distracting:-)
Joe, thanks for visiting Ancestors. Our tour guide told us people there are cremated and only four organs are buried; thus, burials are close. The city has 11 million residents so space is tight there. - Patty
Cheers for the comment on "Sunset At Sea". I could zoom it in on the bridge a bit seeing as the original images is somewhere around 3mp but I think it might loose some of the sillouette of the rope which I liked.
Thanks Joe for dropping by "Blue Skies Smilin At Me" and your comment left behind. I couldn't get over the similarity between our takes on each others photo. LOL As to your having no butterflies, only "tattooed on girls' thighs" ... I thought about that for a whole two seconds and decided not to feel sorry for you, ... on their THIGHS you say ?
