The reason why the sunsets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
when i started drawing just under 2 yrs ago, i had a motive, to change perception, to alter what should be there, what ought to be there, with what i wanted to convey. i had a motive, like drawing a dragon in a flower (i need to find this drawing). I started with simple pens and pencils and went on to oil pastel (here), colored pencil and charcoal, then oils. after a while i started to lose my 'motive' and just draw. ma mere is me trying to just draw a flower but my perceptions have permanently been altered to change everything. und ich liebe!
Thank you for faving 'Bear Island Lighthouse'. Acadia is one of my favorite places. This photo, from last summer, was one I went back to several times, finally satisfied after working it in HDR, then changing it to b/w. Previous efforts left the image lacking the definition I wanted. Through your comments, I am enjoying reading of your journey in art. Thad
Thanks for your comments on "Four of Hearts" and the for the word of the day you've added to my vocabulary. Glad you enjoyed the view. Have a wonderful day. ~Wendell
Thanks for your comments on "Expected" & "Unexpected". Glad you enjoyed the images. Amazing how a little editing can make any image presentable. Have a lovely day. ~Wendell
Hi thanks for faving Sunset I'm glad you liked it... I love working with this type of medium.. you never get 2 results the same everyone is an original..
Emily ~ I am pleased that you liked 'It's a Marshmallow World'. As so often happens, the day after this large snowfall was sunny and mild; the only thing to do with that is grab the camera and get outdoors. Exploring photo spots, while on an errand getting a small part for the snowblower, I toured some roads I had driven by many times. The stream ran beneath a stone bridge that offered this view, and the sun had not begun to melt the large mounds of snow on the rocks, making a playful image. Thank you for faving it. Enjoy your day! Thad
Thank you so much for faving my "Hippo" picture. Your artwork is very nice. I am also an artist. Photography is what I mainly do now, it's less time consuming with my busy schedule. Take care and keep on postin! =)
Thanks for your comments on "Flying Squirrel". Glad you enjoyed the photo. Just how many mutant birdies have you seen? Have a grand and exciting day. ~Wendell
Thanks for looking at 'Sunset in Barn'. I agree with your comment on framing and try to use it judiciously. ( ** looking back at gallery .. whoops **) but I do like the wall hanging presentation look. It sometimes works well.
-My Gallery- The virtue of the camera is not the power it has to transform the photographer into an artist, but the impulse it gives him to keep on looking. - Brooks Anderson
Thanks for your kind comments on "Somewhat Purple". Glad you enjoyed it. I'm bound to get something right every now and then. Have a lovely day. ~Wendell
Howdy and thanks for your comment on "Tangle of Legs". So do you enjoy being wrong or just being wrong about my photos. The kitten realized it was a lost light and fled to bounce off some walls and furniture. Have a great day. ~Wendell
Thank you for all your kind words and thoughtful comments on "Winter Garden," "Sheltering Boughs," "River Walk," and "The Sheltering Oak." They are much appreciated.
The "red eared" thing in the "Winter Garden" photo is a small garden statue (a cherub, maybe?). I didn't get close enough to determine what the red things on it's head were.
Hello.....Many thanks for your very nice comments on (POLICE DOG)they are very much appreciated...When these dogs retire from active duty they spend the rest of their years as family pets.....Thankyou again....All the very best to you ............................................Mick.

Thanks for your comments on "More of the Same". Glad you enjoyed the image. Don't argue with the computer overlords they are always right. And what manipulation are you talking about, this is the night sky as my camera captured it. I think I may have used the wrong settings is all. Have a great day. ~Wendell
Thank for your thoughtful comment on "Can I Join The Fun" I think the little horse was pretty happy she had a giant green field and pretty spring trees to frolic among... I felt a real kinship with her. Have a happy spring and thanks again for your kind remark! Diane
Wow, a discourse of John Rawlss, A Theory of Justice and a preemption of Darwins adaptation theory. What is this world coming to ;) ?
I think the opportunity Darwin was talking about concerns evolutionary changes. Like leaving the pond and walking on earth. Species come, species go, if they cannot adapt to the need of leaving the pond and WALKING on land, they become extinct.
And, Rawls argument about the Veil of Ignorance, I think, dealt more with social conditions and the possibility of changing ones core believes. The common example of the Veil of Ignorance is slavery. With most of the people living in the south, pre-Civil War, in favor of slavery, the question begs, if all of the people were collected (free and slaves), and re-assign the roles to everyone, would the people believing in slavery still believe in it if they would now become the slaves?
Thank you Emily for the very thoughtful comment on Branching Out. You made me go back and do some reading!
Emily, thank you for your poem, and fav, on "Dreamworld." I guess, according to Wallace Stevens, life is what it is, nothing is good or bad beyond the reality before our eyes. It is what it is!
Not much room for the heart, for the soul, to appreciated different feathers, or the variety within the songs each bird sings.
Sorry bout that. Sorta kinda Like it was actually hi praise for me. I only said sorta kinda because I usually don't like that particular type of art, but yours I really did like. I liked the style and the colors and the patters. Very warm and beautiful. Keep it up!

.blithe16 art is an art. And Dont think about others. You are not wasting you time. You are creating from nothing to something to something very special. An average person cannot do that. So be proud of what you. You might not be knowing but your art may inspire someone somewhere on the planet. As I said be proud of what you do. I am. :)
Hi Emily, I wish my manip was as good as the original. Thanks again for letting me use your picture and thanks also for the fav on "In Audience with the Good Listener." ~~ John
Hi Emily. Thanks for the fav on "Speed at a Standstill." I had actually planned to post it the day you posted "poa." But, they are somewhat alike so I held off for a couple of days. It is pretty scary when we are both working on simular pictures, my dear!! lol. ~~ John
Emily, I also meant to thank you for all of the comments you made on pictures from my gallery. It was a memory lane venture for me just to open each one and see your comments on parts of my life over the past several years.
Thanks for adding "Neatly Folded & Stacked" to your faves. And for your artistic eye assessment on the photo. I had no idea I did all those things. I thought I just pressed the shutter button. Have a great day. ~Wendell
Thanks for your comments on "Skaters". Glad you enjoyed the photo. I thought Jack and Rose were last seen together on a trans-Atlantic cruise? Have a lovely day. ~Wendell
