Thanks a lot for your comments about Vivaldi. The nice words and also the critic. I will learn about it. I think, I might take another photo of the group, maybe in spring, with flowers and gree trees around. Then I will try to have no cars on it. It is never so easy in Vienna, getting all those cars out of the pictures.
Thank you for your generous words you were so kind to leave on “towards the sun” picture. I am glad it brought you some pleasure. I was amazed to discover such a beautie in full blossom in October. I guess mother nature will never cease to surprise me with its creations. Stay tuned.
I guess that poem is about me. I hope you enjoy it as much as my photo.
“When I pass to my reward.
Whatever that may be,
I'd like my friends to think of me
As one who loved a tree.
I may not have a statesman's poise
Nor thrill a throng with speech
But I may benefit mankind
If I set out a beech.
If I transport a sapling oak
To rear its mighty head
Twill make for them a childhood shrine,
That will not soon decay.
Or if I plant a tree with fruit,
On which the birds may feed,
Then I have fostered feathered friends
And that's a worthy deed.
For winter when the days grow short
And spirits may run low
I'd plant a pine upon the scape
T'would lend a cheery glow…”

Thanks for your helpful comment on Together's Light. I try to vary my photos I take. I've been taking a lot of single flower shots... decided to put something else in. Still, I agree it is a bit busy. I'll remember next time. Ash
And again... thanks for your comment on Soft Memories. I never thought about that picture in that way. Wonders the comments from other people do. :) I'm obliged. Thanks again. Ashley
The Barbary Apes on the Rock of Gibraltar, you were so kind to visit Bryan, are actually tail-less monkeys - the only free-roaming monkeys in Europe. It is presumed the apes were imported as pets from North Africa during the early days of the British garrison. Soon they found the rough limestone cliffs and scrub vegetation a nice habitat. They are very sociable but inquisitive at the same time, fooling around in crowds of tourists to get some food.
Your raves at “oak patterns” really made my heart flutter. I managed to get such a vivid closeup thanks to mother nature, natural sunlight and finally my tripod and lot of patience. And here it is – the micro system of little vessels which look intriguing against the bright sunlight. Stay tuned.
Same for 'A Place for Two'. Just by looking at all your other comments on here, I see you take a habit of browsing through galleries. Much appreciated.
I was really flattered by your warm comment and truly appreciate your taking some time to help me find the sun, which is deliberately hiding behind some dramatic clouds. I guess I am missing direct sunlight which makes my engine work impeccable. Looking forward to spring season with longer and sunny days…
Thanks so much for dropping by with your thoughts and comments on color me softly capture. I never imagined it would be so easy to discover the beauty in the city center. It is enough to visit the city park in October on a working day just before sunset… the place is usually quiet and peaceful, only a few people walking the dogs to disturb the magical moment of the end of the next golden day.
Ronda is famous for two reasons: it has a picturesque bridge that spans a gigantic gorge that cuts right through the center of town and it houses the oldest bullring in Spain and most probably in the world. It is a charming little town so different from the bustling Costa del Sol resorts and big cities of Andalusia. It managed to retain all of its traditional charm and languid atmosphere. I am happy to see you among ones who decided to visit the place.
And there you were again - at melancholy & roses. Yes, I wanted it to be soft. Is it to much "girlie" for you? Smile. Don't be that soft always, I promise. But glad, you still found something on it, you liked.
Wow, four more! Yes, Advent Magic is not my best one, in fact the c-index shows, that it is not loved. Learn how to dance - the people were all looking at something. The other day I posted Do you know what time it is? - There you can see, what they were looking at. The University: Well, it was impossible for me, to get it better, since there is a busy street behind - and than to many trees. I made several tries - this one was my best. Glad, you like, that my pics are sharp. I always try to get this right.

Wowowow... you've been all across my stuff dear friend, leaving incredibly warm comments...and I still have some problems to respond to all feedback on time. I am glad my November series encouraged you to drop by. I must admit I didn’t realize November days can be so enchanting. These hazy mornings, the way that autumn sunlight enters the woods and is filtered through the tree branches and some sparse leaves providing for some surreal atmosphere of the moment. I am glad you have experienced it with me, Bryan. Till the next time.
I noticed, you are surfing through my "older" postings again. So thank you for all the nice words you left in my galerie. They are very much appreciated.
Once again I find myself extraordinarily behind on “thankyous” so I'm sending out a single giant hug for all the kind words you have left on my “green metallic fly”. I was surprised to discover that flies could be so photogenic, provided they are in such a nice green environment. I am glad this close-up photo was right up your alley.
Thank you very much for your kind comment about Advent wreath and have wonderful Christmas. I hope, you will soon post a little bit more, so I can come to your new images also.
No problem with what you have said. I know, this is different to my other images, but when you see, how people in the voting booth acted to my other images, you might understand why I decided today to post specially this image. Since I can not walk one more week, I will have to use "old" shots and there are a lot of "normal" images of me. So I hope, you will still come, even I might post "another" image from time to time ...
Thanks for your kind comment about Melancholy. I have to admitt, that I did not "plan" the shot, I just took it from different angles, and liked this one most.
Well, broke three bones in my right foot and do not get one of those casts, where you can walk with ... But thanks for your kind words about The Pot. I am happy, you were happy with me again.

thanx for your lovely comment on warm feeling and yes it is a sunset we only did see the sun for a few minutes so that we could see it going down:-) so I have to make a picture of that ofcourse because every sunset is different
I'm glad you hopped by for a little November tasting. Two afternoon sunrays, a couple of colorful leaves, a little bit of November flavor – that’s all what gives such a nice result. I am glad you have appreciated this well-tried recipe.

“The clouded sky looks ominous - promising a ghost horror story ...” Luckily, nothing wrong happened. I safely crossed the lake on a cruise boat to visit famous Dunajec castle, that attracts so many tourists who enjoy climbing in the Pieninski National Park. I am glad you found this place so attractive and would like to express my gratitude for the awesome raves you gave so willingly with regard to my photo.
I am happy, you like Golden Day, even it is not your kind of motive. Smile. If I am brave enough, I will post a nightshot tomorrow. Lets see, if I am not to afraid. Smile. Thanks for your kind comment.
Thanks again my friend, I really appreciate all the time & effort you took to view butterfly feasting. I am sure you will find something to scoff. Help yourself! The buffet is open to any hungry beavers, he, he, he.
Thank you so much for your very nice comment about the nightshot. I told you yesterday (in a way) that I was not so sure about it, so I am happy, that the first comment there was your very friendly one.
Hi Bryan glad that you get a good feeling of my wind & water shot, I have taken it last fryday 5th of januari when we are there for a walk on the beach and to take some picture ofcourse
Bryan, my gratitude for your complimentary comment. I too, am a nature lover and marvel at the beauty that each well placed shot can show. I'm glad that you appreciate nature as I do. Ashley
Thank you so much for your lovely comment about Vienna. Isn't it funny, I was not so very sure about it, and you call it your favorite. I am proud about this fact. Smile.
A very very huge THANK YOU for your generous comment on "winterscape", Bryan. I do appreciate it very much, as I do with all your comments. Your compliments made my heart soar. This year we have had some serious problems with snow supply for Christmas in Europe that is why I decided to post this winter wonderland to make my friends at least taste the winter season with their eyes… and wait patiently for the snowfall to come.
My hearty thanks for your constructive comment on "Illuminating Summer". And you're right, too much light can take away from a photo. I think it added in some ways to that picture. Changed it from just a hydrangea bush to sepparate flower heads. Giving it a center subject. But a lot of the color, like some of the blue, was washed out. It was worth an attempt to break out of my mostly darker photos. Thank-you again for taking a look at my photos, I always appreciate your comments. Ashley
Thanks a lot for your very nice comment about Twilight Bridge. This is a typicall sky of this days, the blue skies are over since some weeks (but I still have shots of this days left. Smile).
Hey Bryan... :) this is becoming a daily routine eh? I'm glad you liked Awakening. I agree, the sharpness is just perfect, and in the right places. Thanks for taking the time to have a look at it. I'll be sure to take a look at some of your photos. Ash
