Each time I revisit that one ... I go back and forth on my thinking as to what the appeal is for me.

And you struck the nail on the head ... the colours are probably the most compelling aspect.

Add in some of the intricacies of the flame itself and I was pleased with it overall. Glad that you enjoyed is as well

Don't know how, but I missed your commentary till now.

Very glad to hear that you found the image worthy enough to grace your desktop. :o)

One thing I have noticed, at least on my rig ... for some reason my OS (Windows XP Home) does not do a great job with regards to flames that have line work similar to "Perspective" (could be monitor related as well ,,, not sure).

I am working to correct this, and hope you have or are not meeting with the same problem I am.
