"There are no rules and regulations for perfect composition. If there were we would be able to put all the information into a computer and would come out with a masterpiece. We know that's impossible. You have to compose by the seat of your pants." -Arnold Newman
Hey pal,
Thanks for commenting on my very blurry and dark "PDX Street". I took the shot from inside the car (while driving!) and my camera was "accidentally" set to a small resolution... But I thought it's a decent enough pic to share. Drop by my gallary more often :)
Really glad that my "Reinforced" met with your enthusiastic approval, as I liked that one myself.
Took a chance that it might miss on the darker aspects ... even went so far as to change that element, then ... in the end reverted back to the original version I had in mind.
Glad I did, and the moral to the story?
Stay true to your own vision, and your creative regrets will be minimal.
Thanks again Joe for taking the time, I do appreciate it.
You really are too kind, and I appreciate your most recent visit to my abstract; "Ornate."
Thought that perhaps I had gone overboard with the intricacies of that one ... but, stayed with my original intent and vision, if you will. Glad you enjoyed it.
You got your cup of coffee and now some reading material via "Words".
Thanks for the vote of confidence Joe.
It was my intended creative take if you will to present a higher contrast image, but ... I don't think, save some of the pros on the site, any of us have a properly calibrated monitor.
That's cool though ... I'll take your thumbs up gladly.
Thanks very much for stopping by "Descent" and for your kind appraisal. I do appreciate your comments as always. :o)
Just say the word ... and I would be more than happy to send along the originating file or sets of parameters that the others involved have been using as well.
Created a discussion thread for the 'challenge' here ... with the idea of providing a starting place for anyone interested in getting to know and familiarize themselves with the program, Apophysis.
Given the art that you do ... think you would find it interesting. Let me know.

Thank you for taking the time to drop by and place some kind words on my image. And to reiterate ... here's to a safe and happy upcoming holiday season. (<--- Nahh ... never too early for those kind of sentiments in my mind.)
Enjoy your family and loved ones ... be well and stay safe. :o)
Les.
p.s. Should be exciting with the newest addition all bright-eyed ... and poopy-panted, no? :oP
Just kidding, of course ... although I would love to see the look on your grandson's face come the 'big day'.
My sincere apologies for the very late reply here in response to your stopping by "Perspective".
Don't know how, but I missed your commentary till now.
Very glad to hear that you found the image worthy enough to grace your desktop. :o)
One thing I have noticed, at least on my rig ... for some reason my OS (Windows XP Home) does not do a great job with regards to flames that have line work similar to "Perspective" (could be monitor related as well ,,, not sure).
I am working to correct this, and hope you have or are not meeting with the same problem I am.
That said ... thanks again for taking the time to view and comment, I do appreciate it very much. Hope my words here find all is well with you and yours. :o)
Have fun!
