Black Hopper 2 was one of several big black grasshoppers at the Uncle Remus Museum in Middle Georgia. I've never seen these in Georgia before. Thanks Christopher for the kind comments on this image.

The Sinks was 3 bracketed exposures that were merged together in Photomatrix to give this blended tonal image. The initial tests of this software have given good results. Thanks Christopher for your nice comments.

Living Waters is another test of merging 3 photos of different exposures into Photomatrix to enhance the tonal range. This software added vibrance to a bland image with good results. Thanks for your nice comments Christopher.

Hello Christopher. It’s good to hear from you again. Thanks for your comments about “Lisgar Falls”. They are indeed tranquil and I think they are one of my better finds lately.

Hello Christopher. Thanks for stooping by to look at "Charlie Brown". Appreciate the knowledge on what kind of spider it is; an Orb Weaver huh. We got a few of those in our little forest.
Hello Christopher. Thank you for your words of approval at “The Water’s Fine”. The effect in the water was quite accidental but very pleasing to my eye :-)
Hello Christopher. I'm so glad you enjoyed "summer at its best". I'm very pleased to be able to share this with you. It truly was one of those great summer days.

Thanks for your comments on "Sweet Desert Gems." Some have asked about the framing. I "sucked up" the colors of yellow and periwinkle flowers for fore and background colors. Then I created the canvas size to fit the Caedes requirements, which left borders on each side of the print in the background color. I used the Render Clouds effect which picks up the two colors and creates a soft cloudy effect. Finally, I used the Artistic Frosted Glass effect. Glad it was so well received. I love my Colorful Colorado and love sharing her beauty with all of you. You might have even noticed that my avatar is actually one of these little pretties. Blessings, anne :-)

Hello Christopher. Thank you for your comments about “Flannel Flowers”. Would you believe I got that with a 400mm lens? I was out looking for birds :-)

Hello Christopher. I enjoyed reading your comments about “Courting Kookas”. I had I smile about your friends online game name, was he Aussie? They do have large heads and very sturdy beaks but I think the angle hear emphasises it.
Thanks Chris for the comments you left on "Bear Notch Creek" and "Swift river".We had a nice weekend and hope to get back next month to see the foliage..Rob

Hello Christopher. I’m glad you enjoyed “Cheeky Honeyeater”. His proper title is White Cheeked Honeyeater, they are quite common on the east coast of Australia but quite shy.
Hello Christopher. Thank you for your kind comments about “A Swell Day”. It was tricky getting that shot because the wind kept blowing my tripod over :-)
Thank for your response to ‘Strange hazelnut’
The hazelnut is a tasty nut. On certain spots there many trees stand. By the time that the hazelnuts fall, you see several people, the nuts collect. You can roast the hazelnuts, but they can also fine made and can then on ice or on pastry making be processed.

Thanks Christopher for viewing and commenting on my Miramar Lake photo. I took this about 8:00 Am on the way to a Unix Shell Scripts class. I'm glad that you liked it and I appreciate your kind comments.

Hello Christopher! My Torrey Pines photo was taken just North of the hang glider port. It was kind of scary going to the edge of the cliff to get this shot. I'm glad that you like the view.

Thanks Christopher for viewing and commenting on my Hotlanta image. I'm glad that you like it. I had to do some Photoshop manipulations to increase the clarity and contrast. The lens was up against the window shooting in manual mode at iso100 f-11 1/160 of a second focused on infinity. I enjoy the challange of shooting through windows.

Hi Christopher - glad you stopped by "Dove al Fresco" and left a comment. Not 100% sure which 'brand', but it is a dove he's eating, most likely a mourning dove. Two other kinds of dove live here, one a lot smaller and the other a lot bigger than the mourning doves. Cooper's specialize in eating birds; doves like to hang around in a row of eucalyptus trees along the same driveway, so the hawk just waits in a tree and grabs 'em on the fly!
Hello Christopher,
I'm so pleased you stopped by " Oak acorns " and left a comment. So glad you enjoyed it also. There were several trees and they hung all full with acorns.

I was on the cliffs at Torrey Pines, Ca. when I heard voices overhead. Thrill Ride was a capture of the thrilling ride of those adventurious folks. I'd like to try that sometime myself but I don't know if my knee problems would allow it. Thanks Christopher for the nice comments.

Thanks Christopher for the nice comment on "Outdoor Stalactite". That little small ooze of sap served to remind me of the larger and more aged formations found in those interesting caves. Stalactite holds tight to the ceiling and stalacmite might touch the ceiling. Have a great day.:)
I saw this done in a life magazine that was in the newspaper back in June. I thought this would be a good effect for the current contest. My Fall State Fair was taken at the Perry, Ga fair at iso 50, F11 and a 6 second exposure. Thanks Christopher for the nice comments.

Hello Christopher! Thanks for the nice comments on my Fall State Fair 3. This image was manipulated a little bit. The Zipper didn't have lights on one end so I had to merge parts of several photos to fill in the circle. That family walked into the photo and stood there long enough to become part of this image. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

Hi Christopher, thank you for the nice comment and info on "magical mushy", I tried to find the name on internet but couldn't find it anywhere so I'm glad you told me, is it a rare one? I found another black one but that's so ugly I can't post it (lol) thanks again and have a good evening !
Thanks for your nice words at "Comin' through"! I only wish I could have centered him a little more; didn't know it was possible to 'lead' a hummingbird too much! I wish he really was a Ruby Throated - historically there's only been one sighting of one here in Arizona! He's actually an Anna's hummingbird as in my avatar, they're here year-round. Thanks again Christopher!

Thank you for your warm feedback to "one time consumption". I guess fall season wouldn't be the same if not colorful mushroom. Especially fly agaric, which look so picturesque hidden among green and brown forest plants. Stay tuned

Thank you Christopher for your comments about “The Kings Lunch”. That bird was making regular flights over a pond to catch dragonflies, he would bring them back to his favourite perch were he ate them.
