But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
Savannah Fountain was an unplanned image. I was walking back to my car from the River Front when the sun shinning on the water caught my eye. Thanks Daniel for viewing and commenting on this image. I'm glad that you like it.

Thanks Daniel for the nice comments on my Strip Mall photo. I was looking for some Christmas lights to photograph when I found this shot on top of a small hill. I'm glad that you enjoyed it. It's not so much the camera, it's knowing how to use it's features and limitations.

Thank you Daniel for the nice comment on my Old Juliette Mill photo. This is an old color slide scanned into the PC. A Cokin camera filter was used to darken the sky.

Thank you for the nice comment on "The Bridge at Newport." I joined Caedes last November. Prior to that I took the occasional snapshot at family gatherings and birthday parties. As you mentioned, I looked at all the beautiful work on this website and used it as an example. My first attempts were horrible. But many people were supportive. I encourage you pursue this. It is so much fun! Steve

I am so far behind in my correspondence. Please forgive the late posting to your comment.
I like your statement about my Line Shack and Aspens. In the next few days I will be posting an image that is still unbelievable to me. I caught the trees at their peak last year. When they are good there is nothing more beautiful

Thank you on behalf of Alexis and me for the nice compliment on "Early Morning Mist." I'm told that small farms like that one here in the Willamette Valley produce 90% of the nation's green beans, over half of the corn, etc. Personally I can't wait for berry season. Soon the strawberries will be coming in, and I think that Oregon produces some of the sweetest I've ever had. Anyway, I'm glad you liked the image, and thank you for letting us know. Steve
tks daniel dr the interest, although O didn´t get the "fire" part.
it´s good to know that you´ve liked it.
tractatus gave me the chills, and the wall has a faboulus perspective.
fine work!
tks again
Hi Daniel...thanks a lot for your visit and favorable feedback on The Appearance of Autumn...I am pleased you liked it and appreciate your time and complimentary words.:Pat.
I'm glad you liked 'homestead' and 'afternoon light' I doubt either one will make it very far. It's funny that sometimes the things we like the most seem to be such big, umm, let's see, flops! Happy you chose those two to comment on, thank you very much for the visit.
hey Daniel.. thank you for the most kind comments about my Valve series.. i am very pleased with the outcome of them.. especially since i am very new to photography.. your support is greatly appreciated..
Thank you Daniel for viewing and giving such nice comments on my Mountain Stream Beauty 2 image. I appreciate you support of my images. This was late afternoon and the low light was drawing me deeper into the forest.
Russ
Daniel, thanks for the comment on "Purpose". I kinda agree with your comment, but I am currently proud of actually not setting anything up for shooing away people for the picture. You can only do so much... :-)

I'm glad that you took the time to view and comment on my Mountain Stream Beauty image. Thank you Daniel for the nice comments. I appreciate your support. I would have gone farther up stream but the large rock out cropping on the left stopped me.

Chyba Cię rozczaruję ale ten zachód słońca, który Cie zainteresował i skłonił do zostawienia mi jakże miłego komentarza sfotografowany został właśnie w mieście. Co prawda na obrzeżach, ale zawsze, lol.
Great to hear from you again. Your warm comment on "snowy January" very appreciated. Whan I took the photo it was snowing and the well-known place turned out to be some magical one. Happy to hear that you like such sceneries. Me too, provided the snow is fresh and soft.
Hello Daniel, many thanks for your kind remarks about 'all is calm'....and for enlightening me about not having a horizon in the middle of a photo....I dont know anything about these technicalities....I'm just a point and shoot man... complete Philistine!!!!
Ian.
Dear Daniel, czyli Danielu kochany,
'vibrant colours of autumn'.
I just thought I might as well share it with others who are equally fed up with the grey and gloomy and loathsome scenery.
Let nothing disturb you, Nothing affright you.
All things pass,
God is unchanging.
Patience obtains all:
Whoever has God
Needs nothing else.
God alone suffices.

Wow Daniel! You really took a walk through my gallery leaving nice comments on several of them. I appreciate the time you spent, and your encouragement and support. Thank you, Carrie
Oj ten łabądek to mi strachu napędził !!!!
Danielu moj drogi, otoz moj pizmak wystawia nosa w poszukiwaniu czegos smacznego do jedzenia... zapewniam Cie ze poszukiwania zakonczyly sie sukcesem.
Hi Daniel! I wanted to thank you for your sweet remarks about Old School House. I am so glad you liked it and appreciate you very much. Thanks again, Carrie
I am still extremely busy with projects but hopefully things should slow down by the end of the summer. Please know that I appreciate you all and will stop by and visit your images as often as I can. My best to all my friends.
Sincerely,
Carrie
Thank you very much for your positive feedback on "Opiniogora castle". I arrived just in time to capture the sunlit castle against dark stormy skies. Half an hour later the strorm began.
Thank you for your visit "in the countryside". Believe it or not but I have travelled a couple of hours to find some nice and picturesque trees on the outskirts of Warsaw. I even experienced an adventure with my car when it got stuck on some sandy countryside road. I am glad to hear you liked the result.I am glad it caught your attention. Indeed I used the polarizing filter to get the full of colors.
Pakoj plecak i zaparaszam nad Zalew Zegrzynski. Pysznosci!
I am so proud to have deserved your kind attention paid to Dunajec castle, Daniel. The place is exceptionally picturesque and depending on weather conditions it evokes different feelings. I wish I took some sunset capture there. So it may be a reason to come back…

Nice to see you Daniel among ones who responded to my insect photos. Your warm feedback to "peacock butterfly" and "mating season" is much appreciated. I suppose shameless beetles will never advance to the permanent gallery...too obscene? What a waste for future generations, lol.
Thank you so much for your visit in Pieniny National Park, Daniel. "Dunajec river" is truly very picturesque place flowing in a ravine among rocks. Many attractions, to mention hanging by your feet from a cliff to take some snapshots, he, he...Definitely a place you never forget.
A million thanks for taking a stroll with me and checking out the dried leaf. Fall is approaching and that maybe a reason for the foliage look of the flutterfly. I thought it looked attractive in camouflage colors and with the beautiful light shining through its wings.
Daniel - thanks very much for your compliments on "wheels", they are very much appreciated. I am having fun with B&W lately, hopefully I will be inspired for more similar shots. - cheers, kim
Hi Daniel,
Thanks for your comments and suggestions on "Queen Anne's Lace 3." I always have a hard time with photographing whites - any suggestions on how to NOT overexpose them?
