Hi and welcome! Thanks a lot for dropping in to see Smarties Inside Out - I think they only made the blue ones for a limited time, so that's why there's only 1 :-)
Thanks for your comments on "Cauldron of Fire", they are greatly appreciated! I know what you mean regarding not doing much for you. It's kinda the same way for me, I was just looking through all my photos for something to put up and this popped up. With a little manipulation (cutting out the background, which was my first time doing that) it came out the way it did.

Hi Alyssa, I'm pleased you loved my 'Last Punk Rocker'. These Woolly Catty's are great fun aren't they. I had a lookat yours on your gallery - could be a cousin to mine LOL. Great pic too bye the way - nice perspective. Welcome to Caedes too from another relative newby.
Cheers,
Steve.

Thanks for the comment on "Refiner's Fire". I've had alot of people telling me that, about the nose and the two points of light. I think at the time I didn't see them, or I was too afraid to mess with the space that close to my nose, for fear of bleeding in to my face. I guess I could just upload another fixed copy under another title. I'll see about that. Have a great day!
Hi Alyssa, nice to meet you and thank you so much for stopping to comment on Spell Binding...glad it caught your eye...and hope it didn't leave any permanent damage, lol...I appreciate your time and visit.:Pat.
Sorry for my lack of comments and responses lately...I'm waaay behind in both...trying to catch up with a temporary avatar change and a quick but much appreciated note.
I'm way behind so forgive me for not commening on your individual posts but know that I've looked at all of them since I left. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Thanks for your comments on "The Three Amigos", as always they are greatly appreciated! Hahaha, they're normal sized ladybugs, it's just a macro shot. Yeah, I agree that the focus is a little off (too bad, 'cause the ladybugs make for an interesting subject), didn't really realize it till I was done tweaking it, oh well perhaps manual focus would have been a better choice for this one!

Thanks for your visiting "Tired Place to Rest a Weary Head", your comments are greatly appreciated! Yeah, it's a bit grainy/blurry because it was sssssssssooooooooo cold and overcast that day. I had to crank up the ISO plus the coldness made it difficult to hold the camera perfectly still (had no gloves, silly me). I'll have to remember to stick some in my jacket next time I head out, just in case it's cold!

Hi There Alyssa and thanks for taking the time to commet on my "watching the sunset" post. It did turn out a little grainy i agree but i did like the color effect. Thanks again Sandi
Thanks for your comment on "Get Ready For Christmas" Alyssa. It is fast approaching that time of year. My wife has been hauling me here and there to shop with her (Under protest) so I kinda got in the Christmas mood. Ah come on just a little Christmas mood.

Hi, Alyssa, welcome to Caedes and thank you so much for your klind words on "Ready to Launch" - I truly do appreciate it. That was a tough capture - the darn thing wouldn't sit still at all!
Hey Alyssa, thanks for reviving my post in the discussion board and dropping in all those comments. I really appreciate it and although I don't always comment on yours, I do always take the time to look at them :)

Wow...
Thanks loads for spending the time to comment on my entire gallery.
I'm really glad you enjoyed them!
I better get working on some new ones... hehe
thanks for the comment on my new image...especially for pointing out what isn't good about it. That is so important, I think, to know what to improve. In my eyes, that shot was perfect and is my favorite shot that I've ever taken. Of course I'm a little biased though ;)
Whats your new avatar? I can't quite figure out what it is.

Thanks for dropping by Norfolk Coast.
I see what you mean about the bottom right hand corner... but if'd gone much closer then I'd probably have ended up on the beach hehe. I'll play around with cropping the image and see what I come up with.
Thanks again!
Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting on "Spiral", as always your comments are greatly appreciated! I was actually struggling with whether or not to put this one up, but I'm glad I did because it seems to be getting some positive feedback.
What is your new avatar? Like Camerama, I can't figure it our either!

Thanks Alyssa for taking the time to comment on my picture “Chewey” The squirrel’s in this park are not tame so a long lens and some hunting skills are beneficial.
Thanks for your comments on "Olde Tyme Kakabeka Falls", they are greatly appreciated! Yeah, I know what you mean about the sky not looking quite right. In the original photo the sky is very overexposed and washed out. It took me the longest time to darken it to the point that it's at. Perhaps if I burned (I think that's what you meant in your comment) the highlights in the clouds a bit, it would help. I'll give it a try, thanks for the suggestion!

Many thanks Alyssa for your kind feedback on Held Captive, my second placeholder entry...I am pleased to hear you liked it that well and really appreciate your time and visit...have a great day.:Pat.

Hi again, thank you for your comment on "Blue Eye" same background as the other hummer. Welcome to Caedes Alyssa, you will have a great time here and make alot of friends.
Thank you Alyssa for your comments and observation on "Two Leaves". The leaves where on the step outside our backdoor and it had recently been raining and with the sun being at quite a low angle it brought the textures of the sandstone out nicely and, as you say, they make the photo.

hey thanks for the comment on "proteus".. his hips are like that because his body is being formed from the water, he's not just standing there.. If you know what I mean..
Hello Alyssa, thanks for your comments about Adonis Blue. I agree, not all the insect is in focus. The problem here was he kept flitting from flower to flower and only stayed to sip nectar for about 10 seconds on each one! Barely enough time to get a shot let alone adjust DOF etc. That's the trouble with wild creatures, they don't always do what you want them to - still, there's always next summer...
Cheers,
Steve.

Hi Alyssa, very kind of you to leave a comment about 'when time stands still'. I am amazed at how the macro lens can produce such great images - I loaned it from a friend for a weekend and had some great results - now I have to save to buy that lens myself! :) thanks for taking the time to comment. Thanks so much for your kind comments on "Blue-Red Burst"! It's always the most flattering thing when someone adds something of mine to their favorites (and it's about the nicest thing someone can do on caedes.net :))!

Hi Alyssa, Your so sweet to notice that today's my 1 year anniversary of being on Caedes. This is the best site!! The people are great and I've had so much fun making new friends all over the world!!!!! The comments that I have received on my work has really helped me to grow as an artist and it's been fun to watch others take their art to new levels. I hope you stick around and if you ever have any tech questions feel free to ask. Chip

Hey Alyssa, thank you so much for the comment on "Eternal Flame II", I really appreciate it. You are the first one to notice the grain actually, I will try to smooth it in photoshop, thank you so much for pointing it out for me. Critical comments like yours are really valuable. Thank you,
Maria
Hey Alyssa , thx for the comment on celabrate fall , glad you liked it .
With pictures of myself i ment that there are pictures of the leafs and pumpkin that are mine and not stock pictures.
hi Alyssa,
Thanks for the candid comments on 'gilded branch'. The starkness of the branch was intentional. I respect your opinion, and thank you sincerely for offering it. The idea had been to present a branch among leaves, as opposed to a leaves on a branch.

Thanks for the tips, but all I have is a camera and a computer! lol I dont really know how to work some of these programs, and I dont really know what they are, Im a beginner. I'll keep the tips in mind! Thanks so much!
Thank you so much for your gracious remarks on crying rose. I believe your warm words surely brought comfort to our depressed beauty queen. She was afraid her beauty would pass away unnoticed but the incredible feedback showed that she was wrong.
Ello Alyssa, thanks for the kind comment on 'Complexicated'. I know, the shine was too bright, just forgot to dim it >:\, but alas, i have to learn from my mistakes so here i go, weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Thanks for the comments on "New School Kakabeka Falls", as always they are greatly appreciated! I agree, I'm having a hard time deciding which I like more as well!

Hi Alyssa, thankyou for your comments about A Moth - Honestly! There was quite a breeze blowing that day so a nightmare to get the focussing right! These moths only fly for a couple of hours near to midday and this happened to be the only day I was able to get home to get some shots. Hopefully they will reappear next year and I can improve on this year. Wildlife photography can be a bit hit and miss at times. Got to 'meet' your Dad for the first time today at my Beautiful Male.
Cheers,
Steve.

hey Alyssa, thanks for the great comment on "Wish Upon a Summer Star", I'm glad you couldn't tell it's two pictures! Thanks a lot, appreciate the feedback
Hey, I wondered where you got to...thanks for being the ONLY person to comment on my placeholder...haha, its kinda dumb, but thats the point I guess. All the other entries were really flashy so I thought I'd step in and shake things up a bit...mission accomplished?

Hi Alyssa, many thanks for your very welcome comments about Beautiful Fly. I'm glad yu liked him. I'd never been to Greece before or come across such beautiful interesting insects.

Mhmm, thanks a bunch for the compliments! Heh, Eric and I have a little rivalry going on here with the Apophysis fractals...xD Except...he stole my monochromatic idea...-_- Well, I guess my monochromatic one just has to be better! xD Yeah, I think I'll have a Christmas series of fractals in the upcoming days 'til Christmas.
Wow, I seriously didn't think "Lunarift" was all that good. I just wanted something simpler, and that's how it turned out. I think the lines should be matched up though, because all I actually did was invert the color of the middle section. Now that you mention it, it is pretty trippy.
Well, the actual flower doesn't look like a person, but the simple elegance of the flower matches the simple elegance of someone I know...it's really, simple?
Thanks for the comments on "The Sea-Vue", they are always appreciated! The funny thing is, is that this was the only side around, and couldn't get any other signs in the shot.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on "Beacon in the Darkness"! I agree with having the lighthouse a little bigger, however I don't have a long enough zoom lens. Oh well, I enjoy the reflections off the water as well.
Haven't seen any work from you recently? Holding back/working on something new?

Thanks for checking out "Main St. Thunder Bay", your comments are greatly appreciated! The photo was taken from about 30 ft away with the flash, so only the sign lit up because it's reflective.
