The beer urges me on, the bewitching beer, which sets even a wise man to singing and to laughing gently and rouses him up to dance and brings forth words which were better unspoken.

Thanks for you comment at Blue Admiral. I am glad you liked it. I was never totally thrilled with that picture myself. I liked the butterfly ok, but the background was just too drab for me. I manipulated this same shot in Flying Free. I'd be interested in your view on this one as well.
Thank you again, this time for your comments at Rocky Shore. I apprecitate you taking time to look at and comment on my photographs. I very much appreciate your support.
Dear Doc, thanks a lot for liking my snails. Boris and I rather like them - they are so harmless [provided one has no garden to worry about ...]. Verena for instance hates them because they destroy her plants all the time ..
Thank you for your positive feedback on "the Treasury, Petra". I am glad you liked it. I guess we have similar interests. Once you are in Jordan it's a must. Unforgetttable place.
Indeed the "lonely tree" was an elegant object for my photo. I love trees, there is nothing but the nature about them. Every tree has some charm but it is not that easy to capture it. I really appreciate your comments.
ha, ha, ha I got you. It really is worth an effort to see such a beautiful sunrise in the Sinai mountains. It can be only admired. I am glad I climbed all bloody night long.
Hola Basil, very nice your recent comment, Im glad you liked "its coming", remember you always are welcome to visit my galley , its a pleasure. :0

Hi there Basil,
I feel sorry that I have not been able to reply to so many of your fantastic subscriptions. I aplogise for that, but i't has been a bit of a bussy week.
Please accept my humble thanks!
Hi there..I dont think I ever thanked you for the many wonderful comments you have made about my photos. I'm so sorry about that...Sometimes I just dont seem to find enough time in a day...to do all the things I want...(giggling here)...but I DO very much appreciate your kind words....thank you bigtime!! Verena
Hello Basil, thank you so much for the nice comments on "Ancient sunset" and "Caldera View", I love traveling in the summer time and taking pictures of the islands, sooo glad you liked my pictures! Let me know if u decide to upload it. Have a great day,
Maria
Howdy from Arizona! Thank you for looking and commenting at "This Anna's a Male!". I AM very lucky to have these little guys on my doorstep - literally as most of my hummingbird pics are taken from my patio door at only 3' to 5'! Thanks for adding it to your favorites Dr Basil!

dont be fooled by sociatal prejudices and misuse of the title
to be a peasant is a supremely noble state
I am IMMENSELY PROUD of my peasant heritage
my gran and grandpa and their brothers and sisters were the last peasants in my direct lineage, though I do still have many many more relatives, still toiling the soil the old way!
I am, as they say ... of good peasant stock! 8D
how many westerners do you know that can scythe wheat and gather and tie the cliché wheatsheaf? ... I can, I am the reaper ;)
gosh i remember the harvest when i was a kid and a teenager!
that was hard work but the whole village chipped in for each others strips and bits of land. Actually picking beets and potatoes can be harder.
I'm going to try to show a bit more of peasant agricultural Poland just to give caedes memebers a slight insight to what's gradually being lost due to modernisation and to surprise them that it still exists in _modern_ europe!
btw it doesnt get more organic that this!
natural horse and cow manure hand spread lol etc
no pesticides no growth hormones
we need to preserve this way of life
the retro bnw or sepia idea sounds good might give that a try later today
cheers for your comment and very positive review
Hello again, my oh my, here we are chatting once more, how nice! Basil, I just want to thank you for your visits to my gallery today!! They included "Equanimity", and "A Wooded Stream", also for the lovely words left behind for me to enjoy! They are deeply appreciated and I will look forward to your next visit with pleasure! Hi Basil, I'm so happy that you came by to view *Wakeboard Bob*. Thanks so much for your kind comments. I hope you'll stop by again :) It's always nice to meet a new friend, Best wishes, Carolyn
Don't tell me it's good, tell me what is good about it. Don't tell me it stinks, tell me what I can do do improve it. Thank you for taking the time to tell me anything at all. Be blessed. anne :-)
Hi Basil, thank you so much for your comments on my hummingbird photo, I am way behind mostly because I was watching the St. Louis Cardinals on there way to their World Series victory. I now have time to start commenting again on your work. Have a great day and a better tomorrow.

Hello Basil, thank you for stopping by and commenting on "Shoot the sky" I knew they were vapor trails but thought it was kind of neat and sort of looked like shooting stars. Have a good week. sandi

Thanks so much for your compliments on mt Eclipse of the Moon pic! It was easy (ahem!) just jump outside and indoors for three hours... put Nikon D50 with 200mm lens on top of tripod, set everything up manually (aperture, speed), get frozen hands, get labelled a lunatic - and you too can take a picture like this! lol Only kidding - I'm sure you can, you were just too sensible not to do it! Thanks so much for dropping in to tell me, Kate
We are like people looking for something they have in their hands all the time; we're looking in all directions except at the thing we want, which is probably why we haven't found it.(Plato, 380BC)
Thanks Basil for commenting on Exploded Puffball. It's greatly appreciated.
Like you I too thought that they were supposed to be white. So I was very surprised to find a few that where actually green! Maybe it's a new breed or some desease...
Hi Basil, thanks for your comments on my photographs of the Alps from the plane. I used one focus point and focused on the mountain and it cut out the marks on the plane window, just like photographing through wires at a zoo. Several of my photographs have marks on them but I still managed to capture some minus the grease and dirt! lol! :)

Hi there Basil, many thanks for your nice review of Springing Up...very pleased you liked it...and also for your compliment on my avatar...I was going to change it...was getting kinda' tired of hopping up and down, lol, but I guess I'll keep it for awhile.
Basil, thank you for taking the time to view and comment on American Muscle II, A Seahorse Of A Different Color and Billards. It is greatly appreciated and stuff.
Thanks for dropping in on the whirlpool. I did this on the old Kodak. I promised Jan that I would try to learn how to do this galaxy in color on the new SBig, but I haven't really had the time. I'm going up to OK this week and start learning how to use the the new CCD, first on the 8-in, then on the 24-in. I want to do IC434 when it come into position in the winter. So much to learn...so little time.
Thanks Basil for checking out my gallery and your many kind words on so many of my pictures. They are all much appreciated. You were the only one to mention and possibly to notice the cloud shape in the horizon of morning on the lake. It is a factory putting out steam from its smoke stacks. I cloned it out of the rework ;)
And for "Yacht","Eiffel from Underneath", and "The One" (which is indeed made of sand!) I thank you for your very kind comments! Thanks for visiting my gallery Basil; much appreciated!
Nice to hear from you again...thank you for adding me to your 'friends list'....I am kind of chuckling to myself here...as you have done this before...;o) However...being listed twice is fine with me...now you know what you have to do....don't you?? ;o) Get busy doing it...my friend...OK?? Teasing you a bit...you should know by now...Lol!
