Hey Ewa...thanks for stopping by and having a look at "Still Stream in Motion"...water and waterfalls are by far my favorite thing to capture, and I've got a ton more coming!!
Hey again Ewa...thanks for very kind thoughts on "Hawk Falls". I'm really glad you are liking my waterfall/water series...I agree with long exposures for waterfalls and flowing water. To me its almost a prerequisite to use a long exposure, unless you're shooting a lot of fast moving water (i.e. Niagra Falls). I live in a suburb of Philadelphia in the US and there are definitely a lot of creeks, streams, rivers, and waterfalls in Pennsylvania...I just need to travel a bit to get to them, especially the waterfalls. But, I think its worth the time!!
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Hi, thanks for your comment on 'Lonely road' - it was before and after a shower - the classic scenario in Scotland. And yes, we did get to see a rainbow :).
Hi Ewa, thanks for the sweet words and the high vote on Hills of Tuscany. Unfortunately, the C-index still came in at 51. LOL Go figure. I guess somebody else hated it.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are also available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
I did not expect, to come here again so very soon again!
but I thank you very much, Ewa, for adding me as your friend!
It is a very great honer for me, from such a great
artist as you are!
See you!
John
I need your opinion please! I'm entering a photo competition. Please go to my gallery and tell me which one of these five you like the best?
A.) Up Close and Personal
B.) This Beetle Likes Pink
C.) This Beetle Likes Pink II
D.) Love Bugs
E.) One Thirsty Fly
If there is another image in my gallery you think I should consider, I'm open to suggestions.
Thank you my friend for such a wonderful comment on my bridge posting. Its for sure a very unique bridge. There is a great feeling when one drives over the Columbia River, because just a few miles from there to the West(to the left) is where the River meets the Pacific Ocean...its such great vastness. Thank you agaIn, I'm very happy you enjoyed that posting..verena
Two hellos in one night is good. Thank you for that comment on "Lone Hunter". I think she was more interested in mice than a tough old piece of meat like me;-)

Thank you so very much for your wonderful comment at my Sweet Arlene rose photo and also thank you for the beautiful poem you left there as well. The fragrance of that poem is befitting of the rose indeed! :)

Yes, I know..., The same here in Holland, Ewa!
I wonder what's going on in climate and nature!
Normaly we are skating, but now sometimes, on a clear day, one can sit on a terrace in town!
Thanks for your nice comment on "Reitdiepdal valley"
Much appreciated!

Thanks for your comment on "whoops..another Owl" photo. Sometimes when I have nothing new to post, I look through my old photos and find something just to post, I should not do that, but I do. I hope to have fresh photos this weekend. Thank you for your continued support on my photos.
Hello Ewa! Sorry I haven't been on caedes much lately. Too many other thing demanding time. Thanks for viewing and commenting on my La Jolla Fog Bank image. The fog came in shortly after this photo was taken and stayed for two days. I appreciate your comments and support.

Hello Ewa, thanks for taking the time to comment on my 'Lake of Veere 10' image. It's great to receive that kind of support. Highly appreciated by me!
Best regards, Cornelius.
Hi Ewa, Thanks for checking out "Surfing Surfcat". I'm sure you could keep up with me surfing. It's just like snow boarding except you have to paddle a lot. As far as making that wave, the answer would be no. I was a little behind on this one and couldn't duck up into the tube.
Good Morning Ewa! I'd like to thank you for your recent comments on images in my gallery. I haven't been on caedes much lately due to the tornado damage in my area. Please forgive me for the generic message but know I appreciate your support and image contributions. Have a great day.

The scenery, "I wish I was there" is the Ohrid Lake in Macedonia. They say the lake is 3 million years old. Its waters are very clear, and it's well known about the Ohrid trout. Mmmm, very delicious.
........it seems to me you placed the photo in the new images gallery instead of current contest section........))

Hoi, Ewa!
I had already uploaded the maximum of 2 images for the contest, it's very hard to find the right ones for the contest!
So I'll show a view examples (I think they are nice too!)with curves, for other members of caedes !
Thank you for your nice comment, Ewa!
Kind regards!
John
Hi Ewa! Thank you very much for your comment on my st. Abbs. I doubt we could see a sunset on this coast, because it lays on the east coast of Scotland. A sunrise is surely possible! :)

Thanks for your nice comment on Baltic Sea.
It was a sunrise, not a sunset. I stand up at 4:30am to get some shots (see also "Fishing Boat") of the beginning of this beautiful day.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Thanks Ewa for commenting on my picture "River View". I can count on one hand how many times a year I put a wide angle lens on my camera but this was one of them.
