Hi Paul, well I am not really sure what that is on that Goose's head but he had a big growth! lol! You can see it in the other goose photograph! Maybe it is a characteristic of all this type of breed - I really don't know! He was certainly very amusing and had the strangest honk I have ever heard! lol! thanks for all your comments! Patti

Thank you Paul!..for those kind words to Trout Stick........This is a part of my past that has 'passed' !....I am very proud to have had the opportunity to have made this my hobby!...because it was a part of my recuperation period from a very bad road accident!...and it helped 'keep me sane' as I thought I would never, ever walk again?.......That was one of the main reasons! I vowed I would never sell one!........
No worries...by all means!....If he is interested, The guild I was in is www.thebsg.org.uk or google in the words 'Walking-Sticks' on the google home page!

Thank you so much for all the great comments and the time and effort to stop by at the Botswana Tour pictures. We appreciate it very very much. I'm glad you are enjoying it so far. Hope you'll enjoy the rest too.
Hi Paul, thanks for the comments on my duck photo and Steven's mountain - he definitely has a talent - the photographs I have on file from the lake district are taken from really high up - he is very keen on scaling hillsides that I would not attempt to climb! lol! well I suppose you have to be willing to do that to get the spectacular views. I am going to Salzburg for 3 days on 6th November so I am hoping to get some mountain views (or big hill views as Hans tells me that there are only big hills there)! lol - thanks again for the comments Patti

Hi Paul, thanks for the nice words at "Daybreak", glad you liked it and although I normally don't like getting up so early:) I'm glad I did this time, take care...
hey Paul, I wondered where you were - and we all get busy and priorities leave us little time to do the things we want to do. Anyway, thanks for the comments on my last sunrise photo - you will have seen those types of sunsets yourself when you were in Majorca on your sailing holiday I am sure. Tomorrow I am taking a short break to Salzburg and I am really excited about getting some memorable photos of this beautiful city - the weather forecast looks good so far - lucky me! :) Patti

Hi Paul, thanks for the comments on ...heading for Gilgen... and yes there was snow there - quite a bit here and there which had been moved to the sides of the road - apparently they had a really heavy snowfall on the Saturday before I arrived there, which was the Monday. We had cloudless skies for two days and the last day it rains - so two days out of three isn't bad. Which part of Austria are you going to? - and skiing is one thing I have never done - but you are never to old to learn - I would really like to try that sometime. thanks for all your comment. Patti

Hi Paul, thanks for all the comments you left today - and yes I have been on my travels! lol! well the photos from Derbyshire are really local as it only takes 40 mins to get there. The photos from Hambleden and Marlow I took this weekend - my sister, whose birthday it was, lives in Hambleden and I have a sister who lives in Farnham (but used to live in College Town which is right on your doorstep). Glad you enjoyed the photos. Patti

Hi Paul, glad you liked the photo of the Cat & Fiddle, but Bob and Jerry soon pointed out it was sloping down the hill - how did I miss that and I am such a stickler for horizons! lol! Anyway I am glad they pointed it out because now I have corrected it as much as I can and reposted it! So you need to come back for another pint! lol! Glad you enjoyed your holiday. I am off to Scotland for a few days a week on Monday - so let's hope the snow keeps off as I do not plan on skiing!! haha! Patti

Hi Paul, thanks for your comments... and the little village of Tissington is a typical old English village yes, but it is so unique that lots of people go to look at each which is a shame really because what should be a quiet and peaceful place is actually quite busy. ....but they do advertise it and I expect the money they make is mainly from tourism as there is a gift shop and three little cafes - must keep the locals in business I expect.

Thanks for the comments on 'Yakima River (HDR)' very much appreciated. HDR is done using software that designed to merge three or more different exposures of the same photo into an 8/16/or 3 bit image file. I do 32 bit but they only upload at 8 or 16 bit.

Hi Paul, nice to see you and thanks for the comments on my Ullswater photos - I remember yours now and I just checked back to look at them. Such a beautiful place. I have been to the lakes before but not Ullswater. I think I might just be making more trips back there - it takes less than 2 hours to drive there from where I live.

Hi Paul, thanks for commenting on my photo of St Aubins - now Jersey has some amazing boats - you would love them! lol! In St Helier alone there are several marinas and millions of pounds worth of boats - I could just look and admire! Have fun on your next boat trip!
