Thanks Tieneke for your comments on Lilacs. I need to change the size of the pics though, so will re-enter tomorrow the larger size if you want to go back for wallpaper, lol.

hi tieneke , thanks for enjoying my « gardenia » image , i am glad you liked it. about you question , i dont know , because i have never taken the time to observe the reaction of the flower towards the sun , but one thing is sure the sun was shining. or maybe it is just special.hopefully....thanks for taking the time to view my image and hope to hear from you again.:-)
Tieneke thank you for the comment on (My First Sunrise). It was still very dark out when this picture was taken, which is why it needed a 4 second exposure to bring it to life. If you take a 4 second exposure in daylight yo will basically end up with a bright white image and no detail. When shooting directly into the sun an exposure is usually in the (very rough) neighborhood of 1/500 sec, depending on how bright the sun is at the time. As the sun gets very low the exposure can be lengthened a little. When the sun has set and you are only shooting the color left in the sky your exposure may be best at a second or two (vice-versa for a sunrise). If your camera has a decent auto mode you can get used to this by taking pictures into the sun at different stages of a sunset and let it auto-set the exposure, but make note of what it is using so you will have an idea when you want to control it manually. You should eventually become comfortable with matching the amount of light around you with a relatively appropriate exposure length for the conditions. Hope that's somewhat helpful, thanks again for the nice comment :)
Hi Tieneke. Thanks for your comments on "Dusk at St. Peter's". I also like to catch history in a picture - and the feel of a place. Glad that you liked it. Regards. Miriam

thanks for the comment on 'Begerk!!', i don't actually know what kind of chicken she is but there is definetely some Rhode Island red in her because her mother was one i think.
Thnx Tieneke, for u're awesome comment to: 'No one knows what it's like to be a hero 2' , really appreciate that.
Are you from the Netherlands if I may ask?
( In considiring to your name)
Thank you for the nice comment on (Upper Kent Falls), Tieneke. I would love to get into those caves and have a view from behind the falls as well, but I don't think there's any way to get over to them without being a rock climber, which I'm not :). Glad you enjoyed the picture~

Big hello from Deep Gap back to Boone :)..very nice gallery. Especially like the pic of Price Park...been there quite a few times, it's a beautiful place.

Hi Gabi, thank you for the comment on (Sunset Grass). I was wondering if anybody else would spot that little grasshopper :). Glad you enjoyed the picture~
I like constructive criticism. So dont be offended by me... I mostly I am honest so that you are honest with me as well. I want to know how I can improve.
Tieneke - thanks for your post on 'Boats' - I think you're right, panorama shots never really work on a desktop format - thanks for your comments anyway
*~I feel myself going down. Again into this despair I trod. Trying to pull myself up again, before you came, failing everytime. But somehow you rescued me from the depths, and I stand proud to be your love~*
Hi Tieneke. Thanks for visiting Wash Away My Sins and leaving such a nice comment. The wires iin the bottom of the photo were actually a bench which I thought would look nice in the shot. Guess I missed out on that one.
thank you for your comment on icy leaf...the focus..well it was difficult...due to the weather etc..to get this macro....but thank you a lot..for your thought...huggg
Thanks, Tieneke, for taking a look at "an icy day". I really appreciate you comments. In this shot, if I tried to get the cattails and just the barn, I would have got mighty wet. There's a river that winds through just on the other edge of the cattails.
hey thanx for the comment and advice on my weeds pic. i didnt even remember the date until i submited it.... i was kinda mad lol but yea thanx for the response!
I love you :)
