Lifes around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever. But he told me there was no cure for the disease, and try to think of it more as a gift, and less of a handicap.

It is always really good to know when an archived picture attracts somebody's attention and is found enjoyable in some way. Thanks ever so much for visiting my gallery and commenting on The Guardian. I really liked this flame when I found it and was pleased with the way the overall combination come out. Still don't think I've got the jewel thing down, though!

Thanks Gabriela.. The blue actually came by accident but then I tweaked it up a bit when I saw how nice it looked. I'm trying out the basics of photoshop, what a pain!

Sorry to all...I haven't been commenting as much as I would like to lately. I'm a 9 to 5er again (actually more like 8:15 to 7:30 these days!!) Don't worry, I still see all of your wonderful posts, if only for a second.

I can understand you know about storms. I really hope you will be spared from them. Thank´s so much for the kind words about "The Stub". Really appreciated.

Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

Thanks for the nice comment on "ruby flier 2", Gabriela. You hit the nail on the head with your comment - I was quite frustrated by the time I quit shooting these guys -
