Hey Gael, thanks for commenting on "To Sharnova-Get well". It is indeed a great view thought next time I hope to have a better camera to showcase it better. :)

Ref: Escape. You are right about the far away look. I checked the data info on this and see that I shot him at 100mm with a Canon 100-400mm. This is a push/pull lens for zooming which does not make it quick for zooming. I am disappointed that I didn't stretch out the lens. No wonder it looks far away. Like I said, I need practice. RATS!
Thank you for liking "Waterton Lake" it's part of Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park The Peace Park was originally created as a symbol of peace and goodwill between the United States and Canada... a world first

Thanks Gaeljet for viewing and commenting on my Majestic Waters 2 image. I was testing out a 30 day trial of the Topaz plug-ins from www.topazlabs.com. I liked some of the plugins but I'm not sure I need the whole bundle. I used Adjust, Clean and Detail the most.

Thanks for the comment and suggestions on "Colorado Summer". I frankly had no idea what hdr software was until you commented, and I looked it up. I had seen pictures with the effects, but I had no idea how they did it. I just take pictures for fun with a relatively cheap Kodak. I am no pro by any means, but I have found hdr software for future posts. Thanks again.
Hi Gaeljet, thank you for taking the time to comment on my photo "The Ant and a Hummingbird" glad you enjoyed it. I finaly got rid of the ants with vasaline at the top of the feeder like susanlyn suggested.
Hi Gaeljet, thanks very much for your comments on the two Symi photos. I deleted the first one as it lost so much quality in colour and sharpness in the upload. Patti

Thanks, Gael, for taking the time to view and comment on "Dual Landscapes." I've got a few wider-angle shots of this crabapple orchard, but I thought this one was a little different, with the artist painting the same trees that I was photographing.
Think about the photo before and after, never during. The secret is to take your time. You mustn't go too fast. The subject must forget about you. Then, however, you must be very quick.

Kia Ora Gael, Thank you for your comment on Autumn Gold. I am about to upload a view of the same lake without the tree - just for you :) I hope you like it.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . Hi, thanks for your comment on 'Trevi Fountain'. Yes i do have the shot without the affect. I was mostly just a deep contrast black and white thing so it is in colour and not so contrasting. Is that what you were hoping for?

Many thanks for your comments on my photo Solitude. Apologies for taking so long to acknowledge these, but we have been away from home a lot, often in remote areas with no internet access. Barry.
