Kia Ora Gerald, thank you for your nice comment on Apricot Rose. I have a few roses scattered around my garden - about 12 in all. They are almost finished now as winter approaches. I posted a picture today, Rosa, of what will probably be the last.
Kia Ora Gerald, thanks for your very nice comments on my Rosa- yoiu gave it a stay of execution as it was top of my 'delete' list. Will let it stay a little longer :)
Hi Gearld,
Thks for commenting in "Rose In The Rain. Don't think we have met before. So, your from Windsor? Been thru there many a time when I drove an 18 wheeler and crossed into Canada. Hope to hear from you again.
Pat
Kia Ora Gerald, thanks for your nice comment on Hint of Pink - yes I had a good chuckle to at madmaven's comment. I thonk it is something we have all done, and its always a red garment that is the culprit :)
The Rose. It is from the gardens of the NC state arboritum. They are so delicate looking compared to some of the robust roses I have seen. I wish I had some like this. You are lucky.
Hi Gerald, thks for commenting on my golden sunset. Yes, it was something else to have seen it. But, this was taken years ago, I think in Utah, NM, or Az...I can't even remember now. Thks for stopping by.
Pat
Hi
Thanks for commenting on my picture its a dogs life! (There was two reasons I made the background black and white, first was because he is predominantly white, but with the brown tinge to the back of his ears and the bits of pink on his nose, i thought it may look like one of those old fashioned hand tinted photographs and also because i had half peeled wallpaper off that wall and in colour it just looked rank!! hahah! shhh, dont tell anyone :-) jan
Face in the Crowd --- Glad you enjoyed my shot of the little girl. Thank you for viewing and commenting,Gerald. I was born in Windsor, and was working for CKLW-TV, when I took this shot.
My boys still live there, as well as my mom.
It was back in the 60's, Gerry. Can't remember any Star photographers being there, but I sold a pile of the pics to Imperial Oil. Always carried a Leica around my neck, as well.
Gerry Thanks for visiting and commenting on The Florence Nightingales. I appreciate your very kind words. Yes I do use Photoshop CS2 for editing. Much appreciated! :) Tracey
Gerry thanks for your comment on verigated. And yes they are hostas. You should see them in June. They have a beautiful lavender shoot of floral beauties. Have a wonderful day my friend. Tracey
good morning gerry, thank you for your generous comment regarding "is he checking me out". i've not heard from you before but hope to hear from you again. jen
Ref "Look Up": I don't think that is a birch. We don't have very many of those around here. It does resemble one though, doesn't it? Thks for stopping by.
Pat
White Hot ---- That was taken a few years before I went to work at CKLW. I got seriously interested, while in the RCAF, and read everything I could find, on photography. I was lucky, though. When I started studying composition, I found I was already framing and balancing in the viewfinder, as the manuals
instructed, and was told, on occasion, that I had a natural eye for it. It is something that is easily learned though, and although actually quite basic, it's a fundamental necessity.
Glad you liked the shot. Don't know how far you got into it, but anytime you have any questions, let me know.
Thankyou for your comments on through the eyes of love. Im glad you liked it. Have a great day. Tracey
PS no the flower is from a park. Im not that good with roses.
Black Max ----- Well, maybe some of the stuff will give you ideas, when you get back into it, at retirement. There's tons of really good stuff on this site, so anytime you're not sure how someone achieved an effect, just send me the shot, and I'll give you a rundown.
Gerry, thanks for the nice complement on "What?!" of my springer Casey! She is definitely a cutie, plus a handful! She is into everything! Thanks for stopping by ~ Monica
Thanks for visiting swans resting ..You are right. That is Lake Ontario.. These swans are the first actual live swans I had ever seen in my life. It was a cold March day and I almost froze my hands off getting some shots.
Hi Gerry. I'm glad you liked Pink Creeper and I appreciate your kind comments. My phlox has spread to cover alot of area. It seems to like have some new topsoil tucked under and around the clumps each spring. Thanks again. Judy
Thanks Gerry for taking the time to comment on my picture “Wings By Nature” On this trip to the butterfly garden I used a Canon 5D, Sigma 105 macro with the ISO speed set at 50. All my butterfly pictures are shot with a flash.
Thanks Gerry........... for your response to "Painting the Canyon". Something is paint very differently. How fine the work how more nicely I find that.
Wil
Thanks Gerry for the sweet and kind comments on "Splash" and "My house" much appreciated.
 yes that´s a big house. It is mostly spruces and birch in the back. In the front I have big birch.
Have a nice day :)
Glad you liked the flowers, Gerry. Compliments are always welcome. It's really quite simple though. Isolate images wherever possible, for the greatest impact. And mentally,
imprint the imaginary compositional grid, in your viewfinder.
In short order, it will become second nature, and you won't even think about it.
If the grid is Greek to you, let me know and I'll go over it with you.
+Thank you so much Gerry for taking the time to view and comment at "Kindred Spirits". Most of the trees here are cypress and they are absolutely gorgeous- Eileen
Hi Gerry,
Thank you for taking a peek at Ziggy "Soakin' up the Sun." He's doing great for now - he has had a long, good life - 16 years! I appreciate your kind words.

Hi Gerry. I wish I could remember how I did it. I'm pretty sure about the filter, but that's all. I'll have to try it again, just to satisfy myself. Glad you found it interesting.
Hi Gerry, thanks for leaving a comment on my Lake Minnewanka photograph. I have just been back to Calgary and have lots more photographs of the city and the surrounding landscapes, so I will be busy posting :)
What is already you favourable words for the "Lilac Iris" beautiful. It does you heart grow of proudly because you can share something beautiful with another one. It’s a gift if you can lay a beautiful flower this way fixed. And I could share him.
Thank you, Wil
Hi Gerry, Blue did get a few quills, recently. Saw his first porky. I didn't, but it must have been a baby, as the quills came out quite easily, on the spot. Glad you could see my deer's(Stump) head.
Gerry,
Thanks for the good comment on Old Royal building". If it is
given there at an old building,. text and explanation. A photograph becomes
more interesting.

Hi Gerry, thanks for leaving a comment about my Snowy Owl photograph. I hope it is photographs you are interested in shooting and not the birds!! just kidding! I was pleased to capture him looking at me. He had a mate too, but unfortunately she was hiding in the corner. It would have been nice to get a picture of the pair together as I had first observed them. Patti
