Hi Roger..thanks so much for visiting my image~Lurking~. I too love birds and apparently so does this hawk! It was using my bird feeders as a buffet table!
Your kind words are deeply appreciated.
Drop by anytime, the door is always open and the coffee/tea always on :o)
Have a great day!!
Hi there roger...thanks for visiting my image painted moth~. We are fortunate to have a tropical butterfly house near our home. It is fun but a challenge sometimes to photograph these flutterby's.
Your visit is deeply appreciated and I am glad that you were able to enjoy that huge butterfly with me :o)
Hi Roger, sorry I am so late saying tks, I noticed that your commented on several of my images lately. I have been too busy in the world where the internet does not exist lol.
Roger, a quick note on Goose Pond. I noticed two things off
the bat. 1) the geese are swimming away from the camera.
2) both geese have shaded faces. When their faces are shaded
it is almost impossible to pick up the shine in their eyes.
Sometimes you have to wait a long time for them to swim back
toward you and then for them to turn their heads into the sun
to pick up the eye shine. Finally a must tighter crop to have
your subjects fill the frame. I very loose crop makes the image
look more like a snap shot and not a photograph. Wildlife
photography takes a lot of patience. Great attempt and keep
submitting.
Thanks Roger for commenting on my picture “Water Walkers” The geese can be quite aggressive towards each other. You are right about the focus/camera shake
Thanks for the comment on Spring Morning 2. I did think about cropping it vertical to eliminate the dark left side, but then I also liked the contrast between light on one side to dark on the other.
thanks for your comment on "sea grapes anyone?" the tree is actually called a sea grape tree and has these grape looking things that you can eat! none on those trees though:( glad youi liked the shot
Hi, thanks for your comments on "Paintbrush". Glad you liked it. Another name for the plant is yellow hawkweed, there is also an orange variety. Thanks for the article link.
Hi again. Thanks for your comment on "Mute Swan". The park isn't large, it only covers an area of a city block or so. But I have spent hours sitting and relaxing in it when I get down that way. Glad you liked it.
Good day Roger. Thanks for your kind comments on "Outsourcing" and "Letter Writing Campaign". Glad you liked them.
The leaves were from a lowly old poplar tree with the odd oak and maple mixed in. Glad you found the humour in the image.
Have to agree with you about Christmas. Wouldn't it be nice to have some of those old toys in mint condition today.
Have a nice day. ~Wendell
Hello Roger
Thanks for your pointing out the merits of "Vestiges of Glory". Indeed the details and the color progression tipped the balance toward upolading this particular picture, even though I would have loved to have more contrast among the details.
Thanks Roger for your comments on "Sleighride". Much appreciated. I'd never painted that style before so I just wanted to see if I could pull it off. Have a great weekend. ~Wendell
Hey Roger, thanks for the comments on "Snowy Night". I actually didn't crop the shot, but I see what you mean. I should have pulled the bottom of the shot up more. Thanks again, much appreciated. ~Wendell
Thank you so very much Roger for the comment on "Let's Build B-Dock".......Much Appreciated. You are right about the fork lift being tricky. The owner of the marina doesn't let anyone but my hubby pull houseboats out lol:))
Good day Roger. Thanks for your comment on "Snow Angels". I almost felt like repainting the image, except it takes a lot of shading to get those colours to look right. Merry Christmas my friend. ~Wendell
Roger Thank You for the comment you left on Elizabethton Covered Bridge.....much appreciated. I wanted everyone to see this special place in our town. And thank you bunches for the 10:))

Hi roger! thanks so much for the warm and kind words you left on ~orchid water~. I felt very lucky to have this image be mine. It ranks up there as one of my top 3 favorites....after rose-scented bath and silent sentry.
I am so glad that you stopped by and enjoyed the image. Stop by anytime, the door is always open and the coffee/tea on :o)
Hope your holidays are filled with all things good!
Hey Roger. Thanks for your comments on "In-spired". The sun unfortunately didn't cooperate that day. I tried to make it lighter, but it didn't look right. The angle is courtesy of being on a hillside street overlooking that area of town. ~Wendell.
-:¦:-·*THANK YOU!*·-:¦:- for checking out Wild Turkeys...it is much appreciated:) I keep saying I won't leave home without the camera but I do sometimes. I did stop and get out but the turkeys bolted for the hills. There was something in the field they were feeding on but I don't know what it was.
Hey Roger, thanks for your comment on "Normal College". Much appreciated. It was either shoot it from that side of the building or from the opposite side. I think this side offered a better vantage point.
Hey Roger. thanks for your kind words on "Ice Falls". Glad you liked it. It would take a lot of water just to reach the timbers let alone wash them away. The stream flows through a ravine that drops considerably as it winds through the park. So the lower areas of the park (and town) would have to flood first. Have a great day, Wendell.
Hi Roger. Thanks for your kind comments on "Gazebo in Winter". Much appreciated and glad you liked it. I figured that was the best composition for the shot instead of just concentrating on the gazebo itself. Luckily those two trees allowed me to frame it just right.
Good day Roger. Thanks for the fave and comments on "Huddled Masses". Much appreciated and glad you enjoyed it. The ducks in the photo only represented a small number of the ones present there that day. Though come to think of it there did seem to be a lot of males compared to the females. Enjoy your day, ~Wendell
Sorry you didn't see what I saw Roger ;) The blurring was kind of intended, but as I said, I was just messing around when I took the picture. Luck of the snap I guess.
