Hi Gemma ... Thanks for the visit and comment at "Ouch". Appreciate your dropping by young Lady ... and very impressed with the "big" word used, but it will just be our secret. My lips are sealed.LOL Thanks again.
Hi Gemma.
Thank you for the comment on "Red Star Hole" and the kind words on my layering skillz. ;-).
I uses Photoshop CS and the layering are done with "select color range" and then the black background, instead of saving as a .png. The tricks are 1) Deciding on what fractals to use in the layer. 2) And to to use the right amount of Opacity on the layers. But, as you probably know, there are lots of tutorials covering layering out there.

Hey Gemma, thank you for the kind words about "A Rose of Many Colors." I really appreciate it! I am honored that you found it good enough to save to your hard drive.
Hey, Gemma. Thanks for stopping by a commenting on my page regarding my "keen eye for capturing the beauty of birds." That is an awesome compliment. I will try my hardest, you can bet, to keep posting quality images for you. Thanks again :)
Hi Gemma, thanks bunches for dropping by Freud Eggs hon ! I'm so glad you liked it ! You're not using scripts yet, are you ? You might want to check into those.
Thanks! Actually it wasn't that hard to do. All I did was go around the telescope using the magic wand and the magnetic lasso. Then I selected the inverse after that I used the wave filter to distort the background.
Hi,my name is Rob..ok, so I'm not the greatest at replies and comments. Sorry. For anyone needing to contact me, my email is back up in my profile. >> my cluttered mess of a gallery

Hello, Gemma. Thanks for taking the time to comment on "Back Road of Rome." Sorry about the lighting, but as you said there wasnt really much i could do. The streets were so narrow, barely any light entered them.
Thanks again for your nice comments, Melanie
Thank you my dear for your kind appraisal on "Hope on the Horizon."

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . You know those keys you found? Welll ... they belong to the space shuttle that I was going to use to come get you at my "Dimensional Perspectives." :o|
However ... you will find the place fully stocked with 'fish food' and cookies. :oD
Enjoy, as I did your gracious comments and I'll just have to grab a cab or something to come by and pick you up.
Shouldn't be too too long. C'mon ... what's a light year or two?
Thanks for taking the time to place some kind words Gemma ... I do appreciate it. :o)
Annnd ... here ya go ... the 'keys' to making fractal flowers, as they are called, in Photoshop. (Similarly used in your fav'd piece "D.N.A." as well.)

Hi Gem, thanks for the kind words on Changing Seasons. If I showed you a picture of my garden, you would probably be rather underwhelmed. That's why I show you only pieces -- moments, you might say. :)
Thanks for the comment!! It's true that we did not pose for this shot. Under my direction, my friend took the shot while my other friend and I messed around on the bass.
I believe that we look so happy because we have that perfect peace and joy that only comes through knowing Jesus Christ. No matter what I do or where I go, I know, with out a shadow of a dought that I will go to heaven when I die. You've prolly heard John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) should not perish (death in hell) but will have everlasting life (life in heaven). See, God loved us enough so that, even though we have sinned, He gave His Son, Jesus to die and shed His blood for us, and then He rose from the dead three days later. The best way to say it is like this, "For the wages of sin is death,..."(Romans 6:23) Because you and I have sinned we deserve death in hell. But in the same verse it says "...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
Romans 10:9-10, "...if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and beleive in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
That is why we are so happy. We know where we're goin' when we die. Jesus died, was buried and rose again to pay the sin debt for the whole world.
Thanks again for the comment!!

Hi Gemma ! Thanks so much for dropping by At The Edge Of Time & taking the time to comment. I really appreciated your visit & I'm so glad you liked it !
As for the colors, I've used a lot of gold but I don't think I've ever used that particular gold & green combo before.... but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. ;o) Thanks again hon !
Gem: Thanks for your comment on "Upside Down". Yes, it's a reflection on water. It was a very calm and sunny morning. It got a low c-index, but it's one of my favorites just because it happened naturally and no "tinkering" was required to make it look like that....Chris
Hi Gemma, thanks for taking the time to comment on Tea Garden 4 - Tranquility. I will definitely have lots of pics to share when I get back from Italy. Peace, out.
Several of my photos are available for purchase in larger format at Shutterpoint, and some are available in high quality framed prints at http://djholmes.imagekind.com/
Thank you so so much for your generous comments about 'A Beautiful Coral'. I am so glad that you like it, and I appreciate your taking the time to comment!
I started making pictures round about march 2006 and then stopped in feb 2007 because I sold my camera to Harm Gunnink who is also a member. I'am now saving money for the sony alhpa a100.
Hope you like the pics
P.S. is it maybe possible if you have time to also give suggestion on how to improove my pictures but compliments are also good!

Just kidding ... sort of, kind of ... as I am now seeing your comments posted on "Descent".
That silliness aside ... really like the observations you made, as the 'cat's eyes' present in that flame had me entranced as well. (And inadvertently drew my attention away from some of the pixellation I introduced via the post work. Oopsies, lol.)
Thank you for taking the time to stop by ... I do appreciate it sincerely.
Ta for now,
Les.
p.s. If you are interested in the 'challenge' ... just let me know, would be more than happy to send the parameters to you. :o)
Thanks for your comments on "3:13 And All's Well." I'm sure you're right that the tower would good with clouds in the sky. I don't think I'm skilled enough to be able to retain the appearance of authentic lighting if I Photoshopped a different sky in there, but I appreciated the input.
Hi Gem, I totally think you can invent your own words for things & I loved frosted spiroglass for "In Dreams Really." I think those words rock & I'm really glad you enjoyed my fractal that well hon. Big hugs for dropping by & taking a look too.*hug!*
