Thanks for letting me know you have a new frontpage. Hope it won't take me to long to get used to your new and interesting (do you mean digital cam?) name.
It's me again! ;-)
Thanks for your comment on 'Helping paw'. Your support means a lot to me!
Someone once said to me: A day without a cat in the house is a sad day. And I think she was right... for every day there is something funny going on with one of my cats!
Thanks Phil for the comments on "River Canard". It does seem a little dark but that's the way it was shot, I think cause the clouds covered the sun. I didn't edit it much.
PS: Congrats on going digital. :)
Thanks Phil for your comment on 'Strange mail'. I'm happy that you liked it. She is a bit a strange one.... tries to crawl into everything! So when I opened the mailbox she was fast as lighting and stepped into it! Luckily for her I noticed. ;-)
Hi there, Sorry for shocking you on One Voracious Appetite, lol, but in my defense I should mention that my daughter is the one who always does the strange manip's on her own face including this one...the worst one she did was the rendition of Medusa...well at least I gave 'ya a fright on Halloween, lol...tks for dropping by.
Thanks Phil for stopping by the Deer Stand. I will post some Airboat Pics in the Near Future for you. I have one I took a few years ago, quality not so good. It's of an airboat drill used in seismic surveys I will put it on just to show you what it looks like. Thanks for your time.
Thank you for the words at 'Red Peacock' - even though it's warm here, I got him at a butterfly exhibit at the local botanical gardens that runs for several months during the winter.
Good to know you've 'gone digital' - but "Where's the pics?"!? Looking forward to them ..... !
Hi Phil
Always nice to have your comment on "Victorian house 02 "and sincerely appreciated. I used Picasa 2 on both victorian houses which is free..A great little program:)
Yes...I read your entry on MM's contest thread. You must do whatever you feel is right to you...I don't think I can say anymore...except to thank you for visiting Little Monstas and Somewhere on Hammond Street...

Hello, Phil, thanks for your comments on "Forest composition". I like mushrooms because, not like squirrels (which I tried to photograph on my holidays too), they're perfect models and don't move around much ;)
Hi there, many thanks for your visit and views on Standing Out in a Crowd...I was inclined to agree somewhat with Alexis who said the filter used detracted from the sidewalk artwork but I see now there are differing opinions so I guess I'll leave this one be for now...I really appreciate your time and feedback...looking forward to your entry.
Hi Phil. Thanks so much for the comments on "All Dried Up" and "Point Pelee Shore". I couldn't do too much about the people except crop them out, there was soooo many people at Point Pelee that day.
Hello Phil. Thank you for the interesting comment about “Egret Passing”. I often get a translucent effect with Egret wings. Its one aspect that makes them so much fun to photograph. I don’t mind being called Rob, I have been called much worse :-)
Thank you Phil, wonderful words on "Still on the way"
Phil, driving, on our roads is not so easy, but we can manage it
as we have expereienced many years on these roads.
Have a great holiday.
Thank you Phil for your nice words on Storm! There was definitely a heavy storm brewing in that sky cause not long after taking that shot it was hailing!
Hey Phil happy to hear you liked the Little Highlanders! I did stay my distance indeed for no matter how nice they can be... don't stand between a mother and her child!!
Thank you Gabi for for dropping by "My Backyard" and to give a nice comment.I thought it look good with the frame, but your right it does take away from the image a little:)
Hey Phil! Nice to see you have a new frontpage. And thanks for the thumbs up on 'shapeshifting reality'... Sometimes it's a lot of fun to turn 'reality' and perception upside down, lol!

thanks for your comments on "windy evening". i am sure, i will do better with a more well-equipped camera. currently, i am relying on a 3-year old digital camera and trying to get the basics right. please suggest sometimes in that direction.
Well spotted My not so deliberate mistake. It is of course a Bali minah bird.I have one of a similar bird of the magpie/jay family...Richie.God i hope they don't shoot me ;o(
Thank you Phil for commenting on my Last Flower Standing. I appreciate your comment. But if you do have points or ideas upon which I can improve the shot, then please do let me know!
....watch out for the photograph I just posted Phil! ...not a down and out from Manchester, but photograph was taken in the Northern run down quarter of the city. ;)

Hi Phil
Thanks for your comment on "Resting" No I didn't know Philip means horse lover.. I can't ride at all I would like to have learned to ride when I was younger and I am to old now.Not really to expensive here in Texas, but you have to have some place where to keep them:)
Thanks Phil for your kind comment on Moira. I'm happy to hear that you like her. And it is indeed the same one as in the mailbox! She can be found at the strangest of strangest places. LOL
Gabrielle
Hi Phil, many thanks for your positive feedback on Snapshots from 1,136 Feet?...it didn't even occur to me but someone suggested that a collage of images might be unfair...if this is the general consensus I'd be happy to remove this from the contest...any thoughts on this?...looking forward to your next entry...with your mindset I'm sure it will be interesting, lol...tks again for dropping by...always good to hear from you.
Hello my dear,I couldn't recognize you for a moment!
very nice icon with a beautiful moustache!!
And thank you Phil for your nice words on "Sign keeper"
Appreciate.
Thanks Phil for commenting on "Welcome To Crane City". The two pictures that make it up were taken from the other side of the River Mersey which is half a mile or more wide at that point and the light was fading so I'm amazed that I got any pictures! Of course I'd love to have at least one picture with a c-index in the 80's but not at all costs. I've long since realised that I'd rather upload what I want to, pictures that perhaps tell a tale rather than ones that will always get high marks in VB.
Thank you Phil, intresting comment on "Beware!Danger zone"
Phil,I have a request to you that pls.don't seprate Lourel and
Hardy,I would like to see them together.
Hi Phil
Thank you for your comment on Watercolor ,
always nice to have your comment and is sincerely appreciated.Maybe I try some other effect with those ladies:)
Thank you Phil for your nice comment on Carcassonne #2. I'm very happy that you liked it! And those lampshades and drainpipes were added later on... the buildings are standing much longer than that! The buildings you saw in this shot are actually part of the old castle.
Thanks again.
Gabrielle
Hello Phil. Thank you for your thoughts and compliments about “Dining Damsel”. You are correct about the energy they burn when flying. They have four wings like most insects. But they and Dragonflies can control each wing independently of the other three, which gives them amazing agility in the air.
Hi Phil. Was a tender moment yes. I was very timid with it, but even though it was such a massive creature, it was just as timid of me. It took us both a while to stretch out enough to meet somewhere in the middle. His eyes looked straight into mine.. and his eyes were 3 times the size of mine! Was wonderful! cheers, Quiet
Thanks Phil for commenting on my "Experimental Giraffes". Not only are they in two minds about everything but they don't know whether they are coming or going!
Thank you Phil, for the nice comment on "the waiting is the hardest part" My new camera will be here next week and the waiting will be over. I did a makeover on my bird studio, added a bird bath, and can't wait to post new photos. Thank you for your support.
